All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
Don't know if you know this, MR, but the Doors are one of my lifelong obsessions.
I remember hearing Light My Fire when I was like 8 and thinking that was the best song I had ever heard. It eclipsed Elivs' Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock upon first hearing.
Later, I came to love Zep even more, but the Doors are still up there for me.

When I was in college I had to take a course in Philosophy 9the only one I ever took. Sorry, Pasto:)
ReplyDeleteWe had to choose a philosopher and write a paper on them by the end of the semester.
I chose Jim Morrison.
The course was taught by a nun who had survived the concentration camps (now and then you'd catch a glimpse of the tattoo on her left forearm).
I got the highest grade in the class and now, 27 yrs later, can't even remember what I wrote.
But if I dig it up I'll send you a copy.
