I am a Coltrane lover. If my wife and I had had a son, we were going to name him Coltrane, and call him Coal.
I love Coltrane most hardcore/outthere music; the stuff from 1965-67 is my favorite.
However, as you say, it is amazing to find that his album with Johnny Hartman is right up there with the stuff I love the most.
