UPDATED AND BUMPED: Remember How The Media Told Us Obama's Grandmother In Kenya Was A Christian

UPDATE: The New York Times posts IBA's post on their International News (Kenya) page.
The fact is, the NYT publishes many IBA posts (usually two or three a week), so I am not posting this to brag. Instead, I am posting it because I think it is humorous that this post, which is just a tad derogatory of the MSM (yes, just a bit) is now on the New York Times website.

It would have been nice if they would have reported the truth back before Obama got elected. And, it would have been even nicer if they didn't repeatedly infer that people like us are racists and nutcases.

Problem is, I am a nutcase, and MR, well, he's racist against Eskimoes, so maybe the NYT is right about us, after all.

I wonder if Obama is just as much a Christian as she is?

Obama’s Christian Grandmother Prays He Converts to Islam

Two years ago this is what the state-run media said about Barack Obama’s step-grandmother before the 2008 election.

The AP slammed the disgusting “untruths” written about Barack Obama in an interview with his step-grandmother in Kenya on March 5, 2008:
Obama’s grandma slams ‘untruths’
Obama’s grandfather had converted to Islam from Roman Catholicism and taken the name Hussein, Sarah Obama said, but his children had inherited only the name, not the religion. Each person should be able to choose how they worshipped, she said.
“In the world of today, children have different religions from their parents,” she said. She, too, is a Christian.
Too bad it was untrue…
They later were forced to correct their own “untruths”.
This week Obama’s Christian step-grandmother told reporters that she hopes Barack converts to Islam:
Sarah Omar, 88, who was on hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, told the Al-Qatan Saudi daily: “I prayed for my grandson Barack to convert to Islam”.

    Yeah, right.

And I've got some swampland in Florida to sell, too.

  2. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Begs the question, which tree?

Examine Obama group family photos. He doesn't resemble a single family member.

  4. Pastorius,

  5. So lemme get this straight. She went on hajj 2 years ago and still claimed she was a Christian? OR was it the media that claimed that?

Either way, the stupidity here is sky-high because you can't enter Mecca or Medina (cities where you go for Hajj) unless you're a Muslim.

There is a wide road and a narrow road. Wide one has a sign says "only for Muslims", narrow one has a sign says "for non-Muslims". ;-)

  6. Darn right I am. Always wearing those strange furry head coverings dressed up so as you can't tell if they're a man or a woman. Eating all that seal and salmon and Caribou decimating the herds just so their culture can survive I insist that to any time they want to get into a kayak or Umiak we get the TSA in here and Nappy herself and have both a porno scan to tell if they're a man or a woman (the eskimoes, I mean, not Nappy. Nothing could verify that)and then a super duper pat down grope down visual just to be sure and they better not be carrying so much as a whale bone butter knife or a folding Ulu with them or they'll get the full business just who do these people think they are living amongst us like that don't they know how dangerous all that nose rubbing is just what kind of message is that sending to our kids when they see it on the street and why do they think they can impose that on us they're the ones causing the loss of all the polar ice building those silly little igloos to hang out in just what are they hiding in there huh spears and harpoons and seal clubs stockpiling them for The Day of Inuit no doubt when they'll rise up against us and overwhelm the U.S. of A. and everyone just knows they're waging a currency war against us trying to drive down the dollar and euro and force their own whale oil currency on the whole world I'm telling ya these people are dangerous and insidious living among us but refusing to assimilate we need to deport all their frozen asses back to Siberia or whatever land mass they walked across from.

  8. Doesn't the MSM recognize that every time this happens an increasing % of those NOT IN THE RULING ELITE simply disappear of the screens of those the MSM impact?

Don't they comprehend that the next thought in many heads was ... 'maybe I was unreasonable about the place of birth not being the USA thing being unreasonable?'

Loss of faith in institutional truth is VERY DANGEROUS.

    I see no self policing.

Therefore, perhaps another kind of administration would be talking about some kind of 'truth' enforcement

Anathema, but you know if this reporting was on the other foot you'd be hearing this from some czars.

No truer words have been spoken.

Can you imagine if every single last one of the nation's schoolchildren went to school not believing a word that came out of the teacher's mouths?
