The exact WRONG conclusion on Norway

From an article in the Guardian this AM on Breivik, by a Sweden Democrat facebook ‘friend’ of his:

Everyone who is critical of aspects of our immigration policies must wake up and realise what their endless talk about dangers and hatred can lead to. Even though no one wanted to fuel this terrible act in Norway, that’s what they actually did
Rational discussion, even heated, about important things is a necessary component of self government.Immigration policy is one of those things. What has been going on in places like Malmo IS THE CAUSE of these discussions.
Talking about these problems IS COMPULSORY.The people, the culture, the state is absolutely NOT responsible for Breivik as a result of this.PATHOLOGY is responsible for this.Sometimes we can see the pathology in a autopsy, such as Charles Whitman.Other times such as with Dylan Kleiblold and Eric Harris we cannot.
There are ALWAYS environmental factors, because there is ALWAYS an environment.
authoritarian parents
absent ones
religious component
political component
emotional distress

All of these people turn out to be bright.

There is nothing to take away from the things such people do.
We do not yet have the technical, objective tools to identify these people before they form their complete illnesses. We try to because the vast majority of us need to understand. Be there is nothing to understand about a bubble of volcanic gas which smothers a village.

Breivik is not the respected leader of anything.

He is a cut off child, a member of an acknowledged neo nazi group, which would exist REGARDLESS of islamism, and would have found his way into some unimaginable horror in any set of circumstances.

To extrapolate from such illness the idea that frank discussion of controversial subjects represents a cause of the crime by INSPIRING IT is to say humans are so sick and dysfunctional we must avoid all drama.

We have 99,000 problems, but not one of them will ever be solved THAT WAY

I've been out of the loop for about 24 hours. Had to take Mr. AOW to a swimming pool for some "self therapy."

Anyway, I thought that the idea that Breivik was a neo Nazi had been discredited, proven not so.

Somebody clue me in, please, with a link as to Breivik's neo Nazi connections.

  2. Weren't Sweden Democrats marching about giving the 'salute' a few years back before doing a VB self-makeover?

Check the referenced article in Guardian by link and the others on that page w/rgd to EDL

    But that's minor.

Breivik is just SICK. That's all there is. The 'manifesto' makes reference to the US Constitution as well as everyone everything else.

He also makes reference to a possible connection with Islamists for tactical advantage. (????)

The only important thing to come out of this might be the political advantages certain groups attempt to disgustingly achieve.
