Non-violent resistance is all well and good and admirable and preferable. But, historically, it’s not our way, to submit instead of stand our ground, even if it means knocking the other fellow on his ass.. And as the government continues to spiral out of control and lose all touch with ground truths, I see it as less and less likely to be the outcome.
We need to come to terms with the truth that The Revolution has already begun. Barack Hussein Obama started it when he decided The United States of America was no longer good enough and needed to be sacrificed and remade in his own image.

A bit over two and a half years ago -- scant hours before my job was eliminated and I was set adrift -- I posted a warning about where I thought this country was headed.
Since then I have had far too much time available to watch the news. Nothing I have seen in that time has changed my mind about what I see coming. In fact if anything it has accelerated, as so many of you have noted.
And I have come to believe what is coming is now, or very shortly will be, unavoidable.
The lines are too sharply drawn. The rhetoric too loud. The divide too large.
The government has seen fit to leave it that way. They have become paralyzed, largely along partisan lines, into inaction to try to fix anything. Our public servants are more concerned with their private lives and continuation of their careers than with the lives of the people they serve. The people who pay them. We The People.
Meanwhile corruption and cronyism has allowed our President to ram through legislation and decree without consent. Without oversight or investigation when his one of his pals is caught in scandal.
When someone finally has the courage to speak out, he or she can expect to face an angry mob of people who will loudly condemn them. Vilify them. Call them unpatriotic. Anti-American. And if that doesn't stick then they are stupid cunts. Or worse.
Nothing one side does can satisfy the other. Not even to the point of considering negotiation. There is no debate. They proposed it. They are evil. They are wrong. Which leaves us with a Congress that has openly decided nothing can be agreed upon and nothing done during this election year. And so that is exactly what they will do.
While 30 million Americans cannot find a job. Probably because they don't want to work.
And a President who spends his time on vacation and planning his next golf outing while thousands of people are forced from their homes each week.
It seems these people, these public representatives, not only don't care what is happening to the people who put them there. I don't think they even know we are here.
It is that sort of attitude that has given rise to both the Tea Party and OWS. Two very different sides of the same issue. I won't go so far as to call them Patriots and Loyalists. Not yet.
The resentment grows and the angers festers. The despair deepens. To the point where sooner or later good people will finally say Enough! and engage in activities they would not have normally. Not because they see a diminished future for their children, but because they see no future for themselves or their children.
When you have lost everything you have nothing left to lose.
You can call this sedition or treason if you like but I am advocating neither. I am simply saying this is where I see this headed. I would prefer to see it at the ballot box. But I don't think it will wait that long. Not as long as the voices clamoring for change are ignored.
If we do manage to make it to November, but nothing changes as a result, then Americans will rise up as draconian legislation and decree are brought to bear.
237 years ago today another group of Americans had finally had enough. They had endured years of legislation and taxation to help pay for British Wars and adventuring, without having any say in it.
They had tried peaceable means of redress. They had tried somewhat less peaceable means of civil disobedience.
Finally, they were pushed too far. And when their government tried a gun grab at Concord, and attempted to round up the loudest rabble-rousers among them, they defended themselves and their property and their people with force.
When the King decided they did not have the right to protest and speak out. When he decided they did not have the right to maintain the means to defend themselves.
We all know how that worked out.
I have an ancestor, of the same name as mine, who fought in that conflict. He wintered with Washington at Valley Forge. He was one of the spies the General sent into Philadelphia through that winter to get information on what the British were up to.
King George would have considered him a traitor, along with those loud mouthed rabble-rousers Sam Adams and John Hancock.
I see the same thing happening again. I believe it is something we may need to accept, an ugly possibility we need to get our heads around, while at the same time trying to prevent, or it will become self-fulfilling. But it can't be prevented if our leaders do not work toward the same goal.
American Voices should not be silenced nor debate discouraged. The Will of We The People should not be ignored. It only leads to a deepening of the divide, an increase in the anger and volume of the words used, in the hope that they will at least be heard.
Or someday very soon each and every one of us will have to decide whether we take rank with Ben Franklin.
Or his son William.
We may be faced with a new King George. We will decide as time goes by.

Therefore I must conclude that the Founding fathers were far more certain of the righteousness of their cause.
I'm not advocating violence, but I am advocating an unashamed, uncompromising, unyielding, non-retreating, stance against blatant EVIL.
Unlike many, I am sure of the righteousness of this.

and as the Right is seen as wanting to do little or nothing about it
then we will continue to see a ratcheting up of the language (and especially as it comes from the Left's mouthpieces, sanctioned by the admin). Voices on the Right will only grow louder, merely to be heard. But they continue to be ignored by especially the Left but also the Right.
Sooner or later words will turn to actions.
Face it. The Democratic/Socialist Left has been criminal no doubt. And the media compliant with them.
But the Republican Right has done nothing NOTHING to safeguard us, either.
They have remained silent.
And left it to the Limbaughs and Nugents And Hannitys to speak out.
Where the political Left has be grievously open in their hostility, The Right has largely sinned by silence.

I agree with your subsequent explanation above and would only add that there shouldn't be any differentiation between the Left and the MSM because there is none, they are one in the same.

To put it another way, when we decide the law, as it is, is no longer in our interest, then we are no longer protected by the law.

ReplyDeleteActually, it's meant to be, at least in part, a criticism of Nuge, who would commit sedition (or something very close to sedition) and make us pay for his shit through his abuse of his relationship to Romney and the effect that it has on the Conservative movement in general.
ReplyDeleteTed Nugent, apparently, has little interest in using good judgment for the purpose of the victory of the Republican party, but would, instead, just enjoy a life of shooting his violence-spewing mouth off, and having little or no consequences to himself.
So, what I'm saying is, when we would commit sedition, we ought to commit sedition, not just emit the fart heard round the world, and then blame it on the dog, as Nugent has done.
