There have been lots of threats by the US, and by Israel, over the past five or six years. But when Israel levels a direct and violent threat against Hizbollah about what they would do to Lebanon AFTER THEY ATTACK IRAN, then I think we can ascertain that justice might be near.

Despite the inevitable international outcry, Israel would be left with no choice but to lay waste to swathes of southern Lebanon because Hizbollah has entrenched itself so deeply within the civilian population, he said.
The unusually stark warning comes after months of heightened speculation that the Israeli government is considering unilateral military action against Iran’s nuclear installations despite opposition from the United States.
Although the prospect of an attack in the next few months is unlikely until after Israelis vote in a September general election, Ehud Barak, the country’s defence minister, recently insisted that military strikes had not been ruled out.
Israel has always been aware of the heavy price it could incur from such an attack, with Iran able to retaliate through Hizbollah and Hamas, the Palestinian militant group that controls Gaza. Both Islamist movements have long been funded and armed by Tehran and have built up vast stockpiles of rockets capable of reaching deep into Jewish territory.

ReplyDeleteWhiole Hizballah might like to think there is some distance between them and Iran, in fact they are not only the cat's paw of Iran, but a retaliatory strike against Israel would be carried out by the Al Quds force of the IRGC IN and FROM Lebanon.
Israel should plan on the result of a attack against Iran being war with Syria, Lebanon, Hizballah, and if things continue on the current path, Egypt.
If there were to be a warning which might work, it should be to the military in Egypt, and the warning should be about the Aswan Damns as the very first target in a massive retaliation
Let me be clear, I do not think this is or could be an effective warning.

They will listen to no threat.
I only posted this because if Israel is now warning about what they will do AFTER THEY HAVE ATTACKED IRAN, then that means they have decided that they WILL ATTACK IRAN.
... which I had not been too sure of before.
