For God's Sake!

Saw this over at Breitbart, citing New York Magazine, and burst into the laugh of the lunatic:
Mitt Romney’s plan of blatantly lying about President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” speech is clearly drawing blood. But what makes the attack work so well is not so much the lie itself but the broader subtext of it....

The key thing is that Obama is angry, and he’s talking not in his normal voice but in a “black dialect.” This [meaning, criticizing Obama's you-didn't-build-that remark] strikes at the core of Obama’s entire political identity: a soft-spoken, reasonable African-American with a Kansas accent. From the moment he stepped onto the national stage, Obama’s deepest political fear was being seen as a “traditional” black politician, one who was demanding redistribution from white America on behalf of his fellow African-Americans....
I can't take much more of this crap.

In my view, we are not far away from this: "You MUST be a racist if you didn't vote for Barack Hussein Obama."

It's actually a sad historic thing for the nation and black americans.

This job is NOT for him.

Actually, inPhilly right after the election that very thing was said to daughter #1. By others who mostly (though not exclusively) did not match her particular ethnic demographic.

Living in Alaska now it seems to be far less a problem.

  3. MR,
Nobody said that to ME in 2008. Of course, the Obama supporters I knew also knew full well that I'm no racist.

But times are more surreal now. I'm serious with that comment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Obama is doing serious damage to race relations here in America.

    Devolution.

    **sigh**

  5. She heard it more than once, or variations thereof (what's the matter, don't you like black people etc) both after AND before in very mild attempts at intimidation. She was only 22 at the time and lived in an area that was onyl 3 or 4 blocks from the Black Panthers Polling place incident so while the intimidation didn't work she didn't openly fight back that much. I commented here on those shenanegins here a few times back then.

Since then she has moved to Ak., has me for a dad and reads IBA with some regularity so she has learned to voice her opinions much more quickly.

  7. How do you get a Kansas accent growing up in Hawaii and Indonesia?

Obama is about as Midwest as I am Mexican.

  8. But you don't look Mexican.

And we're not in Kansas anymore.

    It's Oz. . .

  9. I predict riots, serious riots aided and abetted by the Democratic party after Obama is defeated in November.
No joke, dead serious and we'll shortly see if I'm right.

  10. That's not a stretch at all, considering the fact that the Democratic Party is already promoting riotous behavior with the Occupy movement.

  11. I agree and wouldn't be surprised at all if those riots started ON election day.

  12. I, too, expect riots on Election Day. In fact, if widespread riots break out, then Obama can use martial law and suspend the elections.

And if he loses, I expect post-election riots, as well. Again, he could declare martial law and suspend the change of power.

  13. If ANYTHING happens on election day, or there is ANY kind of delay in the election or inauguration, THIS NATION WILL TEAR ITSELF APART.

Neither the national guard nor the armed forces would be exempt from what follows.

  14. Does it not worry anyone here that several commentators are predicting Armageddon on election day?

Do any of you have sources (reliable or not) that indicate the democratic party (or even the left in general, #OWS included) are planning these sorts of actions?

If you do, I'm sure the Feds would be interested and probably make arrests before it happens, if you don't... You're perpetuating an irresponsible and dangerous trend in American society (Right Wing Conspiracy Fears).

  15. Mark,
    Riots are not Armageddon.

The only person who said anything about a reaction more than riots is Epaminondas, who used the colorful description, "This nation will tear itself apart."

I don't know what he means by that, and it is not my job to explain his comments, but he certainly is not predicting Armageddon.

    LOL

Do you doubt my assertion that the Democratic Party is already promoting riotous behavior in the Occupy Wall Street movement?
