London mayor asks for tougher monitoring of UK Islamic societies

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:

London mayor asks for tougher monitoring of UK Islamic societies.(AA).
London Mayor Boris Johnson said that universities in the UK should not allow Islamic groups to teach segregated lectures, writing in his column in The Telegraph on Sunday.
Islamic groups in a London college have been debating over segregating seating in classrooms by gender, an issue that was seen as worrisome by University College London.

The universities need to be much, much tougher in their monitoring of Islamic societies,” Johnson said.

It is utterly wrong to have segregated meetings in a state-funded center of learning. If visiting speakers start some Islamist schtick – and seek either to call for or justify violence – then the authorities need to summon the police,” Johnson explained.

Johnson’s statement came after the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby by two Islamists on Wednesday.

The mayor also stressed that politicians should distinguish between Islamic faith and the virus of “Islamism.”

This is a sinister political agenda that promotes a sense of grievance and victimhood among a minority of Muslims,” Johnson added.

"We must not give the killers the thing they crave above all – the prize of dividing us,” in reference to the suspected murderers who slayed Rigby in London’s Woolwich area while reportedly chanting “Allahu Akbar” (God is greater).

Johnson emphasized that Islam is not to blame, “[Islam is] a religion that gives consolation and enrichment to the lives of hundreds of millions of peaceful people,” he said. Read the full story here.

I was talking to a liberal once and he said to me something very similar to what the idiot mayor said. I asked him, "How do you know?"

He said, "I know Islam is a religion of peace."

I said, "I know what you know...I asked you HOW you know it to be fact? How do you know the terrorists have it wrong and what you know is right?"

    He said, "um,....."

I said, "Give me verses from the Quran and passages from the Hadiths and Sira to prove it."

    He said, "what is Sira?!"

I said, "You really don't know what you're talking about, do you?"

He said, "I don't really care about religions, I'm an atheist. Christians murdered millions and millions of people during the middle ages."

I said, "Thanks for proving my earlier point."

So my question to the idiot mayor with regards to the quote above is, "HOW DO YOU KNOW?"

  2. "Christians killed millions and millions of people ..."

I wonder if there is any accounting of how many people Christians actually killed. Certainly Christians were tremendously murderous at certain times in history.

  3. I'm sure Christians murdered plenty of innocent people over the course of history. Even the crusades, which started out as a defensive mission against the barbarian Muslim animals, turned into a murderous rampage against the Jews and non Christians.

But the flaw in liberal logic (did I say logic? I meant moronic stupidity) is in justifying horrifying acts by Muslims because Christians carried out similar horrifying acts some 6-800 years ago.

Another problem with this moronic stupidity is that Muslim are carrying out Mohammed's orders to the letter, whereas murderous Christians basically locked Jesus on the bookshelf and went on with their business.

So that's the reason I don't even entertain statements like "but but but Christians..." because it is irrelevant today. Its like reminding the great great great great grandson of a murderer that his great great great great grandfather murdered someone hence its fine if people go ahead and kill him.

OR punishing all white people because some whites owned slaves some 200 years ago...

    Oh wait...that does happen.

  5. One of the reasons I so chose to oppose those who wanted to form an alliance with European anti-Islam parties like the Vlaams Belang is because I am aware of what happened in the time of Crusades and in 1492, during what is called "The Expulsion of the Moors".

In both instances, what started out as a justifiable retaliation against Jihad TURNED ON THE JEWS, AND ENDED UP IN THE MURDER AND TERRORIZING OF JEWS ON A MASS SCALE.

It's interesting that you, a non-European, do know the history and yet people like Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer do not know it, or ignore it, or simply do not think it is relevant.

  6. I think people like Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller (being somewhat on the front lines) at times are desperate for a bigger alliance between "anti-Islam" forces.

The sad fact is that European right wing are not the people we want to be associated with or be allied with. Likewise, the left wing is equally abhorrent.

Being allied with the European right wing would be like anti jihad movement associating with the KKK in the hopes that they'd stand up against Islam...but in the course of them standing up against Islam colored people get persecuted...then meh, that's collateral damage.

Where I can understand the frustration of people like Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller, I think it would be a mistake to throw support behind any European right wing group because that would be replacing one enemy bigoted with another.

What we need is the zeal of crusaders without the idiocy and the murderous rampage. However I have acknowledged it many times and still do that it was only because the crusaders were ruthless that the Muslims stopped attacking Christians for a while and finally saw Christians with respect and fear. That fear is what we're going to have to reproduce in Muslims if we hope to save our civilization.

I want Muslims defeated as much as anyone concerned with the way the world is going but not at the price of another Jewish massacre. I refuse to accept the Jews (or any other innocent race or group of people) simply as pawns in each and every war between "Christians" or the West and Islam.
