Obama Admin To Map Every Neighborhood In America By Race To “Eliminate Segregation”

(CNSNews.com) – To ensure that “every American is able to choose to live in a community they feel proud of,” HUD has published a new fair-housing regulation intended to give people access to better neighborhoods than the ones they currently live in.
The goal is to help communities understand “fair housing barriers” and “establish clear goals” for “improving integrated living patterns and overcoming historic patterns of segregation.”
“This proposed rule represents a 21st century approach to fair housing, a step forward to ensuring that every American is able to choose to live in a community they feel proud of – where they have a fair shot at reaching their full potential in life,” said HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan.
“For the first time ever,” Donovan added, “HUD will provide data for every neighborhood in the country, detailing the access African American, Latino, Asian, and other communities have to local assets, including schools, jobs, transportation, and other important neighborhood resources that can play a role in helping people move into the middle class.”

According to HUD, long-term solutions include “helping people gain access to different neighborhoods and channeling investments into under-served areas.” The mapping tool may guide development and zoning decisions, for example.

  1. The solution to this nonsense is to stop identifying yourself by race. Enter 'other' or 'human' for race. Or, if born in the US, note that you're 'Native American'.

  2. I've already refused to answer the race question when the Census guy came by. I told the guy he ought to be embarrassed to even ask such a question. Problem is, he said everyone else answered it without question. And, I believe him.

Most people think race is very, very important.

  3. Most people celebrate the birth of a "royal baby" too.

  4. Hey, Pasto.

    I'm curious.

Why are you so critical of the "royal baby"?

  5. Simply because I hate royalty. I hate that Americans are attracted to royalty. It makes me sick.

Our attraction to royalty is very similar to the Left's fascination with Islam. It is an impulse to fascism.

  6. Pasto,
    Interesting POV.

I don't interpret the fascination in same way. And sometimes it isn't fascination (obsession) at all, IMO, just a sort of general interest in the traditions of the mother country. Maybe because I have read so much Shakespeare.

I certainly don't go bonkers over the birth of a "royal baby" -- just as I wouldn't go bonkers were any First Lady expecting a child.

  7. Well, we all have our own points of view.

You might notice mine is consistently opposed to the idea that birth confers any importance/title/character on a person.

I also do not hold out much hope for any individual baby that is born. As I look across the landscape of humanity, what I see is most people are sheep, unwilling to stand against the animalistic impulses of the herd for what is right.

And, such a willingness has almost absolutely nothing with the circumstances of their birth.

Additionally, i tend to believe that such a willingness is the only thing that actually matters when it comes right down to it.

  9. I particularly like Princess Diana. Seeing that this would have been her first grandchild, it did interest me.

It really has nothing to do with royalty and if it hadn't been Diana's grandchild, I wouldn't have even noticed.

  10. Pasto,
    I see what you mean.

    Christine,
if it hadn't been Diana's grandchild, I wouldn't have even noticed

Almost the same here -- except that I was somewhat interested because now 4 generations of British monarchs are living.
