"If they were able to do anything, they would have done it a long time ago”

Iran’s Defense Minister Hussein Dehghani, commenting on the idea of either the US or Israel doing something about Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

So why negotiate?

There IS one thing Israel can and I believe WOULD do which would be VERY effective.
An EMP weapon which would probably kill no one, exploded at ~75,000 feet would obliterate all unprotected equipment within about 240 miles. Everything in this pic. Repeated application would guarantee, SOONER OR LATER an end to this program.
To protect your electronics, you need to defend against two energy surges: a surge that arrives like radio waves (E1 phase) and a second surge that arrives over power and phone lines (E3 phase). Defending against these two surges will let your electronics survive.
E1 energy reaches any device not buried deep, deep underground. The more circuits and wires, the more EMP energy caught. Antennas, power cords, and computer circuit boards catch for the EMP energy, which then damages the electronics.
E3 energy arrives over power lines, phone wires, and cable TV connections. These very long wires collect the E3 energy, which floods into connected equipment. This power overload can destroy your equipment.
If Israel and its people BELIEVE it is the strategic goal of Iran (as it’s every leader has stated) to KILL them and their state ….. this last and ultimate action would guarantee the END of this threat, and spread relief throughout many nations, including MANY enemies of Israel as well.

HAT TIP Will- MFS for THIS

Of course, if all fails, we have the analysis of Anthony Cordesman

  1. I heard last night that Russia is providing Iran a special anti-missile protection, which will prevent any attack. I imagine something like Israel has. In the meantime, here in the land of Oz, we are convinced the world is secure. Except of course if you are an infidel

  2. Interesting. I can not find the story on Google, though. Do you have a link?

  3. The only story I saw was 5 S-300 systems, which are older tech, but GOOD, along with a raft of Kilo subs, new homing torpedoes, upgrading their SU=24's (like F-111's), and selling some SU-25 ground attack jobs (A-10)
