All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Tom Holland, the "Christopher Hitches Lecture", on ‘De-Radicalizing Mohamed’
What this historian is forgetting, is that regardless of the "transformation" Islam is going through present day jihadists, and comparing it to the Reformation, there were jihadists throughout the 14 centuries life of Islam. He is trying to look for a way out through a door does not exist.
Good stuff? All I heard was a self-presumed 'scholar' admit the diabolical contents of the Islamic doctrine exist and then deny it's immutable concrete nature, while admitting there was no equivalent of the Pope to guide change. He as much as admits Islam demonstrated 1436 years of doctrinal stability and suggested nothing can be done nothing - but Hope for Change - and dream of unicorns and skittle rainbows to emerge after some 30 year war. Just more pompous academic insanity masquerading as scholarship
I heard it Pastorius. I simply cannot fathom his/liberal reasoning given the 'immutable' facts he admits exist MUST dismiss ANY possibility of his fantasy ever being realized. He sees it. He recognizes it. Then suggests to ignore it. Insanity.
