After telling the world he had damning information on Hillary, after claiming he had to cancel his "balcony event" in Ecuador, and move the big announcement to Berlin,
Julian Assange shit a brick.
There was nothing. Just cheap hucksterism.
He literally promoted his book. You know, like Howard Stern, or, like Hillary did at last week's debate:
The presentation from WikiLeaks started at 4 AM Eastern time and went on for more than an hour before Assange took the floor. He spoke for a half an hour or more and then – wikileaks assange After creating a media frenzy Assange said nothing. He TROLLED the world. ... and then promoted his book.It was speculated at this blog that Assange's head fake, in moving the event, might be the precursor to an announcement of a plea deal.
I largely rejected that notion, believing Assange was a more principled man than that; believing he had much bigger, historical fish to fry.
But, I think, at this point, we can expect Assange to make a stab at a plea deal. And, I don't think it will work out. I think once they get a good handle on where he is, and once the rest of the world is looking somewhere else, he will be assassinated.
Simple as that.
And he will pass from the stage of history, and shrunken, shriveled man.
I suggested Assange may be bargaining for protection a couple days ago. He has lived a tenuous existence at the whim of a third world embassy for three years. Essentially under house arrest. Sweden claims they want to interview him about a rape allegation for which he has never been charged. They refuse to question him at the embassy insisting he must go to Sweden. UK has acceded to Swedish demands for extradition. Sweden will not guarantee they won't extradite him to the US.
ReplyDeleteThe unidentified women who made the allegations against Assange have seemed sketchy in media accounts.
He is truly between a rock and a hard place.
Yes, he is.
ReplyDeleteSo where does he have to go from here?
This press conference, which will only serve to decrease his public standing, does not help his cause.
Anything he does to gain more respect will help him.
Anything he does to lose respect will make him small enough to kill.
He has put himself in danger, in my opinion.
A fizzle, huh?
ReplyDeleteThe Clinton Political Machine also in play?
Unless he truly has something which would result in a president clinton being IMPEACHED for crimes, a la Nixon (which took 2, endless years) this will enhance the idea that nut job conspiracy theory lunatics are the real clinton oppo
ReplyDeleteTaking my cue from Epa: He has nothing that will get Hillary impeached and he knows it. Even if he has video footage of Hillary at a witch's coven feasting on aborted fetuses it wouldn't matter to Hillary supporters or the law in this fractured land.
ReplyDeleteHillary's whole career has been a series of disqualifying events but the left doesn't give a shit. As much depravity as exists in HRC there is even more in folks who blindly support her. They HATE us, that's all that matters. It the USA, or at least a critical mass therein, that is the problem.
My sympathy lies with Assange. Every man has his price. And while he may be willing to die on his sword, he has family.
ReplyDeleteWhen I took my oath of office it was with my mental nod to "better me than them". I never wanted to look into the coffin of a child. And I was willing to move heaven and (my little patch of) earth to keep my children safe.
While drones are spectacular, "accidents" can be hard to prove.
Was he playing the system or was he scoping the response...could his nothing-burger announcement actually be a security check of sorts by this master hacker?....

===>"Amazingly at 5:13am EDT (USA) / 11:13am (Berlin) Julian Assange announced there would NOT be a specific release of anything related to Hillary Clinton at this event, and all of a sudden the outage issues cleared right up."<===
NYPost: Assange: WikiLeaks to release weekly US election documents
When considering the ages mentioned above, recall that Michael Savage's radio program was censored - without notice - LIVE - last week when he was discussing HIllary's health concerns. Michael Savage's radio show pulled from air for quoting Mike Cernovich
ReplyDeleteThis was just prior to 77 US Senators surrendering ICANN
I checked my local internet providers status and it too - coincidentally was down at the time of Assange's announcement. You can check your provider's status at Down Detector and see if the map is similar to that posted at the Conservative Treehouse.

What happened to our internet providers in our nation’s largest population centers was straight out of the Strategic Landpower White Paper (http://www.arcic.army.mil/app_Documents/Strategic-Landpower-White-Paper-28OCT2013.pdf) from Odierno (Chief of Staff – Army), Amos (Commandant USMC) & McRaven (Commander US Special Operations Command): control the “human domain.” JADE HELM, anyone? When the military conducted the JH exercise, many of us wondered what was the purpose of it if not for controlling the population in the US — and we took a lot of guff from folks who said we were tinfoil hat wearers and such a thing could not happen in the US. Well, Assange showed it is happening. QED — quod erat demonstrandum.
YouTube Julian Assange - 2:14 - promises more document releases leading up to the November 8 election...but will not announce specific time of each weekly release. subjects covered in the upcoming series of releases include arms, war, oil, google, US elections, etc.
