BTW, Trump actually cancelled the mtg with Mexico and BAITED Nieto into doing it

Morning tweet by Trump:
of jobs and companies lost. If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting.
In other words, if you show up, you have conceded you will pay. There is NO WAY Nieto could cross the border under those circumstances

So the next question I would be asking myself if I was advising Mexico is, WHAT’S TRUMP’s ACTUAL PLAN?
Of course if you are watching anything but FOX NEWS, and sometimes there as well (which is fair and GOOD FOR THEM) you think Trump is a late developing teenager (NYT Weds) who actually might be insane (CNN) and he just masturbating to all this while having ego fun and planning who will be the next victim of a pussy grab.
If that is what is going on in foreign capitals, (or in the Democratic minority)

THEY ARE FUCKED

The best thing you can be in this world is UNDERESTIMATED.
Previous baiting example in history, by the underestimated: FT. SUMTER (see Shelby Foote), and Davis being baited into firing the first shot
Are you paying attention in Beijing? I think so. In Pyongyang? Who the hell knows? But I bet in Beijing they are thinking Kim would make a good test. And Chucky Schumer, I hope you heard Trump tell the WORLD if you filibuster a SCOTUS appointee (that would be a first time in history) he WANTED the nuclear option used. Maybe Schumer wants that for another future day when the Dems have 53 senators. In that case ….
So now that he is doing each thing he promised, the shock is palpable. The awe around the shock, is inspiring.
The punditry, being ignored or criticized and insulted by calling on (MY GOD) the NY Post, STILL cannot figure out what the hell is going on. They are falling back on the kind of thing they did in 2006, or 1981, and it’s a different game.
Earlier this week I was informed by a trusted source I HAVE that WaPo had sources telling them that Spicer after his inauguration claims actually had been sent out into a trap to get rid of him and Priebus had foisted him on Trump, and Spicer was not the guy Trump really wanted, and it was SO LONG Spicer.
Trump has warned time after time that unless you heard something from him (i.e. TWITTER) it was probably bologna. I really thought, ‘yeah. okay, whatever’, but you know, this is the 6th or 7th time something like this has turned out to be crap
So here is a working theory:
No one in the Trump admin is going to leak info to WaPo, or Ezra Klein (Vox-who had another supposed story). If this kind of story makes it into the world via a source like that THEY HAVE BEEN BAITED just like Nieto, or it’s BULL, literally #FAKENEWS by function if not intent. A ‘real’ leak will be in the NY Post, or Boston Herald, or Hannity like spot. Especially after such outlets begin sending people to press conferences. Steve Bannon, Breitbart, hello?
I find this to be ESPECIALLY true over rumors about the cabinet disagreements. It should be OBVIOUS by now that Trump WANTS conflicting ideas to challenge him and each other as events and policies are discussed. It would not shock me to find out that in 1 on 1 meetings he is leading and prompting each official to think they are winning the way for their ideas and then find out that’s not the case. This is EXACTLY how (‘traitor to his class’) FDR lead.
And it wouldn’t surprise me to find out that cabinet meetings are loud and disagreements plentiful as Trump challenges his people in front of each other then announced his decision over a preponderance of opinion there (‘gentlemen this is NOT a democracy’ – the ‘original gorilla’). If you don’t know who did that as policy, you haven’t been reading your Doris Kearns Goodwin.
Now I don’t want for an instant to say Trump is like either of those great people, he is NOT. But leadership techniques are leadership techniques.
And 95%+ of the press veering from critical thought and questioning to unyielding hostility DURING THE CAMPAIGN, and now during the presidency, has made compulsory a complete overhaul of the way the president operates in their presence until the COME BACK to Tim Russert.

But it IS interesting to wonder what Trump’s actual plan for the trade balance is with Mexico. I wouldn’t listen too hard to leaks over that.

  1. Epa,
Have you read Trump's The Art of the Deal?

I myself have read only a few excerpts.

  2. How about using the word traitor to describe an American? If the shoe fits...

"Ungrateful TRAITOR Chelsea Manning, who should never have been released from prison, is now calling President Obama a weak leader. Terrible!"
