DOUBLE AGENT? Sri Lankan Priest says it is 'time to forgive killers' after Batticaloa bombing

The senior priest of the Zion Church in the eastern city of Batticaloa addressed those who had gathered at the city's Teaching Hospital on Sunday, where more than 300 people with injuries had been delivered following an attack on the building.
"I would like to thank all my people in Batticaloa," he said. "I saw everyone coming and helping to the others, saving many lives. We are grateful for this support and love."
The priest also urged the population of the city to "maintain peace and calmness" and not to "spread any hatred and rumors against anyone or any community."
"This is the time to forgive the killers," he said.
The explosion reportedly occurred during the Easter morning service, leaving 28 people dead. It was one of the eight attacks, some of which targeted three hotels and two other churches in the country.
Sounds to me as if this Priest is on the side of the Muslims.

  1. I think I have a better idea. And I am... a Christian.

Doormat behavior is not the order of the day for mass murder. And the doctrine of forgiveness should NEVER be weaponized against those experiencing acute grief.

Pffft. As a Christian with Mennonite background, I can forgive them and at the same time pray and work toward justice (death to ISIS -- or whomever).
