WHAT IF OBAMA HIRED A MAN LIKE BILL AYERS OR JEREMIAH WRIGHT AND BROUGHT HIM INSIDE THE WHITE HOUSE? HE HAS!

From Reliapundit, the Astute Blogger:

OBAMA APPOINTEE AND FRIEND VAN JONES: NEWS AND BACKGROUND:
• WIKI: Van Jones (born September 20, 1968) is the Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ).[1]

VAN JONES IS THE GREEN JOBS CZAR - APPOINTED AS A CZAR IN ORDER TO AVOID BACKGROUND CHECKS AND CONFIRMATION HEARINGS.

THIS ARTICLE EXPLAINS WHO HE REALLY IS:
Van Jones and His STORMtroopers Denounced America the Night After 9/11

Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), the revolutionary group formed by self-described "communist" and "rowdy black nationalist" Van Jones, held a vigil in Oakland, California, "mourning the victims of U.S. imperialism around the world" on the night after Sept. 11, 2001.

The reason this is important is because Van Jones is now President Obama's green jobs czar. He does not appear to have distanced himself from his past communist activities and is now part of the Obama administration's push to turn Sept. 11 into a National Day of Service focused on the promotion of the radical environmentalist agenda.

The vigil was reported by World Net Daily which excerpted parts of a history of the now-disbanded group.

Apparently, after the WND article was posted online, the website on which the original document was posted was overwhelmed by visitors and unavailable. I found the article in the "Way Back Machine" website (web.archive.org), an archival resource. The 2004 document, called "Reclaiming Revolution: history, summation & lessons from the work of Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM)," may be found on the archival site here. (In case that becomes unavailable, the document "Reclaiming Revolution" is available at the link embedded in this sentence.)

Jones also founded the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, which joined in the vigil according to an Ella Baker Center press release from 2001. The press release contained this passage that quoted Jones:

"Anti-Arab hostility is already reaching a fever pitch as pundits and common people alike rush to judgment that an Arab group is responsible for this tragedy," said Van Jones, national executive director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. "We fear that an atmosphere is being created that will result in official and street violence against Arab men, women and children."

"Reclaiming Revolution" also blamed the U.S. for 9/11. A passage on page 45 (27 of the PDF file) reads:

That night, STORM and the other movement leaders expressed sadness and anger at the deaths of innocent working class people. We were angry, first and foremost, with the U.S. government, whose worldwide aggression had engendered such hate across the globe that working class people were not safe at home. We honored those who had lost their lives in the attack -- and those who would surely lose their lives in subsequent U.S. attacks overseas.
(VIA JONAH.)

HOW CAN A MAN LIKE THIS SERVE OUR NATION IN THE WHITE HOUSE?!?

WHAT KIND OF PRESIDENT BRINGS A MAN LIKE THIS INTO THE WHITE HOUSE?!

  • BY BRINGING IN THIS MAN INTO THE WHITE HOUSE, OBAMA PROVES THAT HE IS MORE LIKE JEREMIAH WRIGHT ...

  • ... AND MORE LIKE BILL AYERS THAN NOT.

  • THAT A MAN LIKE VAN  JONES IS A CLOSE AIDE OF OUR PRESIDENT IS TRULY SCARY.

THIS PROVES OBAMA HAS MORE IN COMMON WITH THEM - AND FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS - THAN ANYONE IN HIS OFFICIAL CABINET - THE ONE CONFIRMED BY CONGRESS.

OBAMA'S PRESIDENCY IS A GRAVE AND SERIOUS THREAT TO THE FREE WORLD.

  3. Pastorius,

Don't know about you, but this doesn't surprise me at all. It was only a matter of time. He was just waiting for the din regarding his friends to die down, and enough noise coming from elsewhere, to start sneaking his friends in the backdoor.

Afterall, an anti-American, racist socialist can stand only so many "proper" people in his midst.

In addition, he did have to pay up and fulfill his promises to his peeps, at some point.

  4. Last I hear, 46% of Obama's Cabinent positions are unfilled.

    Yet, he keeps appointing Czars.

Every time he appoints another Czar it is a violation of the Separation of Powers, and it is another slap in the face to the Legislative Branch of our government.

When will Congress wake up and realize Barack Obama is stealing their power from them?

What the hell is wrong with our Congresspeople?

Are they insane? Are they stupid? Do they just agree that Obama should be able to take away their power? Are they being paid off in some way for accepting this lesser role? Or, are they, perhaps, afraid of something?

There is something not right here.

  5. perhaps congress is simply mesmerized with their perceived sense of power currently- they won, after all. Blinded by their resentment of all things Bush/ eight years of conservatism, they assume any 'change' by Obama is an improvement over Bush's legacy. Fools, the lot of them.

  6. Anonymous,
Yes, I think that's the most reasonable explanation. They are fools.

  7. I think we need to re-examine whether the Bush adminstrations were "conservative." If they were, I need to find another political philosophy!

  8. Ro,
How did this conversation suddenly shift to the Bush Administration. I mean, I kind of agree with you. But, what is the thought process?

  9. You responded to Anon's comment, which was that this Admin is reacting to the "conservatism" of the Bush years. Anon's comment:

I take exception to characterizing the Bush years as "conservative." That's all. Same as I take exception to the argument that speech characterized as "hate" speech is not protected "free" speech. Just a little somethin' I do to keep this stuff from becoming a meme.

Bush was just socialist lite. Just antother statist too quick to spend my money on his programs.

Sorry if it appeared to be hijacking the comment thread.

  10. You need not apologize. I get your point, and agree with it, now that you have explained it.

Bush is, after all, the President who started the bailout mania which we now see manifest everywhere.

  11. Agree.

Bush was not a conservative except in the minds of the critical progressives
