19 CityMD Urgent Care Clinics in New York City Close Due to Staffing Shortages Caused by Vaccine Mandates

Nineteen CityMD urgent care clinics in New York City temporarily closed due to staffing shortages caused by vaccine mandates. The urgent care clinics closed on Wednesday with no timeline for reopening. “To preserve our ability to staff our sites, we are temporarily closing certain locations effective December 22,” a statement on CityMD’s website read. “It is our hope that closing sites now will best allow us to avoid future closures as this surge continues.”  New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Governor Kathy Hochul have imposed vaccine mandates on all healthcare workers. Despite vaccine mandates and vaccine passport systems, New York is experiencing the highest daily covid infection rate ever.
