Why are so many Britons emigrating?Last updated: 4:36 PM BST 20/05/2008Two million British citizens have left the UK in a decade, the greatest exodus from the country in almost a century. The Office of National Statistics is expected to release figures later today showing that more than two million Britons have emigrated in the last ten years.
In the same year, over 500,000 foreign
nationals arrived in the UK, which gives a total of almost four million immigrants over a decade.
Why are so many Britons emigrating?
Is it the prospect of a better life elsewhere, or are British citizens repelled by life in their native land?
Has globalisation made it easier to settle abroad?
Say about that why.....
Vilkommen, Bienvenue....
Just one thing, once you get here,,,, START HAVING MORE KIDS, and learn the damn language ;)

I hear North Dakota is a nice place....although thanks to INS I'll be in British Coloumbia...LOL ;-)
Keep in mind, guys, that when they say "britons", they aren't talking natives, but many who are Hindus are leaving Britain, as well. You would be surprised at how many Indian non Muslims are leaving England. Many are settling here. There are a lot of "Canadians" immigrating here, too. From Québec. It seems their draconian language laws are at odds with the newcomers desires to speak only English. That and overtaxation. I would bet that if you asked a lot of these people why they left their socialist workers' paradises, you would find that taxation has a lot to do with it.
IN that case watcher, say hello to the Salmon House on the Hill, and if you give me enough warning, I'll meet ya
It's a deal!
