A young mother’s life has been turned upside down in the wake of receiving her Moderna COVID-19 booster shot, which has left her paralyzed from the neck down, The Canadian Independent reported.

Kayla Pollock, a 37-year-old from Mount Albert, Ontario, has had her vibrant life of motherhood and community involvement brought to a sudden halt due to what doctors have diagnosed as a severe vaccine-related reaction.

Kayla, who suffered an abusive childhood, had overcome her past to find joy in her work as a behavioral trainer for exotic animals and later as an educational assistant. The single mother, known for her active lifestyle, was compelled to get vaccinated to ensure she could continue visiting her father in his long-term care facility.

However, after receiving her booster shot on January 11, 2022, Kayla began experiencing alarming symptoms, culminating in her complete paralysis less than two weeks later. Despite initial skepticism from emergency department staff, an MRI revealed a significant lesion on her spinal cord.

A neurologist, documented on an audio recording, expressed his belief that the vaccine was the likely cause of Kayla’s condition, a view later confirmed with a diagnosis of transverse myelitis – a rare inflammatory disorder caused by damage to the spinal cord. 

Her condition has resulted in the loss of her job, home, and the ability to co-parent her son, reducing her to reliance on provincial disability support and the assistance of care workers for her daily needs.

Although Kayla has attempted to secure compensation through Canada’s Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP), her application has faced numerous delays and is still pending.

HEIDI PRZYBYLA: I talked with a lot of experts on this and I have seen it with my reporting, Michael, which is that the base of the Republican Party has shifted. Remember when Trump ran in 2016, a lot of the mainline evangelicals wanted nothing to do with the divorced real estate mogul who cheated on his wife with a porn star, and all of that.

So what happened was that he was surrounded by this more extremist element. We are going to hear words like Christian nationalism, like the “new apostolic reformation.” These are groups that you should get very schooled on because they have a lot of power in Trump’s circle. And the one thing that unites all of them because there’s many different groups orbiting Trump.

But the thing that unites them as Christian nationalists, not Christians because Christian nationalists are very different, is that they believe that our rights as Americans and as all human beings do not come from any Earthly authority. They don’t come from Congress, from the Supreme Court, they come from God. The problem with that is that they are determining, men, are determining what God is telling them. In the past, that so-called “natural law,” it is a pillar of catholicism for instance, it has been used for good in social justice campaigns. Martin Luther King evoked it in talking about civil rights.

I do not post this because I advocate Christian Nationalism. 

Rather I rather I post it because I think it is important that we acknowledge that,  

1) here is an angry woman who hates the idea that rights are God-given, and 

2) to prove that she is angry, one needs only observe one simple fact, SHE CONFLATES 'God-given rights" with Christian Nationalism. 

I have long argued that Jesus died for our Free Will BEFORE he died for our sins. I say this because God had three choices after mankind rebelled, 

1) he could hav wiped us out, 

2) he could have turned us into automatons, 

3) he could have allowed us to continue on having Free Will and invented another way to have a relationship with us 

Free Will is endemic to the Judeo-Christian tradition. We participate in Creation with God. You sent That is not Christian Nationalism. 

It is clear that this argument - as an argument - against the notion of God-given Rights is more about a Fascist Impulse in leftism, than it is a Philosophical issue for Leftists.

A CALAMITY OF LOST YOUTH: High numbers of deaths among young people are being ignored by the media and politicians

Ever since the World Health Organisation declared the Covid-19 pandemic over in May last year, the world has moved on. Yet people continue to die in much higher numbers than before 2020. And while covid mortality mainly impacted older people, it is younger people who are now dying disproportionately. The news cycle hasn't said much about this, even though, of course, these unexpected deaths are no less tragic than those of the pandemic.

Why the silence? One factor may be that, historically, pandemic planning factored in excess deaths as part of the pandemic phase. That they would continue for several years wasn't part of official plans, although according to Lucy Easthope -- visiting professor at the Centre for Death and Society, University of Bath, and author of the bestselling book on disaster recovery When the Dust Settles -- it was predictable. As she put it in an interview in September 2020: "For every Covid-19 death, we would estimate another four deaths over two to five years... you see extra deaths for domestic violence and obstetrics, delayed or missed oncology diagnoses, no admission to A&E, sepsis, suicide."

In the digital era, however, this phenomenon has taken on a life of its own. In the face of public silence, thickets of information and misinformation abound on the internet. So it's best to start with the most unvarnished facts of all: the numbers of deaths. Mortality is far higher than used to be normal. In October, the BBC reported that Scotland's winter death toll in 2022-23 was the highest for 30 years. And things are not improving.

First, it's important to assess the causes of these premature deaths. Cardiovascular issues are significant. In June last year, the British Heart Foundation said that since 2020 there had been 100,000 excess deaths in England from cardiac issues. The article dismisses the vaccination explanation on the grounds that Sweden, uniquely in Europe, has a very low excess death rate, but had very high vaccination rates.

A confusing factor here is that Sweden never locked down. So maybe it's the lockdowns themselves, after all?

I personally almost died because I could not see any doctor when I had a serious health problem in 2020. My situation deteriorated and deteriorated and no one would physically see me. Jurors said LaPierre “caused $5.4 million in monetary harm to the NRA, but that he has already repaid at least $1 million of that. 

The 74-year-old appeared stoic as the verdict was read.” 

NBC News reported. The jury said LaPierre’s co-defendant Wilson Phillips “caused $2 million in monetary harm to the NRA, they found, while Frazer did not cause any monetary harm to the group.” the outlet said. 

Last month Wayne LaPierre announced he would be resigning as the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) leader just days before his civil trial began. 

Recall that Letitia James vowed to go after the NRA which she dubbed a ‘terrorist organization’ before she became the top cop of New York state. In August 2020 Letitia James said her office is seeking an order to dissolve the NRA in its entirety during a press conference. 

The investigation into the NRA began in 2019. Letitia James said the NRA was serving as a personal piggy bank for Wayne LaPierre, the Chief Executive of the NRA. 

Later that month the National Rifle Association announced a lawsuit against New York State Attorney General Letitia James.

Chris Cuomo’s Personal Physician Destroys COVID-19 ‘Safe & Effective’ Narrative on Live TV

Dr. Robin Rose, Chris Cuomo’s personal physician and a double board-certified physician with expertise in treating long COVID at Terrain Health, destroys the prevailing narrative about COVID-19 vaccine safety on live TV.

During the segment, Cuomo introduced the topic by highlighting a groundbreaking study by the Global Vaccine Data Network (GVDN), which analyzed the safety of COVID-19 vaccines in a pool of 99 million vaccinated individuals across several countries, including Denmark, New Zealand, Argentina, Canada, Finland, Australia, and Scotland.

Here’s what the study found about how certain health issues showed up after people got their COVID-19 vaccines:

Neurological Conditions:

• After getting the first dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, there was a noticeable increase in Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), where the body’s immune system attacks its nerves.
• Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), a rare brain and spinal cord inflammation, also popped up more than expected after the first Moderna vaccine dose.
• Other neurological issues like transverse myelitis (spinal cord inflammation), Bell’s palsy (facial paralysis), and seizures also occurred more than usual after some doses of these vaccines.

Blood Clot and Platelet Conditions:

• The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine first dose was linked to more cases of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), a type of blood clot in the brain, than expected.
• There were also more instances of low platelet counts and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs) after some doses of Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Moderna vaccines.
• Some vaccines also led to an increase in splanchnic vein thrombosis (SVT), another type of blood clot, after certain doses, but these findings didn’t signal a major safety concern according to the study’s criteria.

Heart Conditions:

• Cases of myocarditis (heart inflammation) were significantly higher than expected after the first, second, and third doses of mRNA vaccines (like Pfizer and Moderna).
• Pericarditis (inflammation of the heart’s outer layer) cases also exceeded expectations after some doses of the Moderna vaccine and after the third dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.
• These heart-related findings were considered important safety signals that need attention.

What this means: The study noticed that after getting certain COVID-19 vaccine doses, some people experienced health issues like nerve and heart problems, or blood clots more than what was expected by the so-called experts.

During the live broadcast, Cuomo introduced the topic with cautious optimism, highlighting the rarity of increased risks for certain disorders identified in the study. However, Dr. Rose quickly pointed out the gravity of the findings.

“The study identified significant issues that were neurologic, cardiac, or hematologic. What we saw was that certain safety signals were two to three times higher than expected,” Dr. Rose said.

Cuomo sought clarification on what Rose meant by “expected versus observed,” to which Rose explained that the observed serious side effects were higher than what researchers had anticipated when rolling out a vaccine or therapeutic.

Dr. Rose highlighted a discrepancy in how healthcare and society respond to rare events, drawing a parallel between the screening for cancers and the monitoring of vaccine side effects.

She noted that millions are screened for cancers with much lower incidence rates than some of the adverse events observed post-vaccination, questioning why similar caution is not applied to vaccine safety monitoring.

“When the headlines come out about vaccines versus COVID, they’re often downplayed in various ways, or the headlines themselves minimize what’s happening. Okay. And the issue is that, in our society and in healthcare in general, we do care about the few or the rare occurrences, right? Thus, we conduct screenings for everyone 45 years and older, encompassing hundreds of thousands or millions of people who need to be screened because we’re concerned about the 32 out of every 100,000 people who get it per year.”
