Megadeth - Symphony Of Destruction
Tehran, 29 July (AKI) -
Sixteen Iranians who converted from Islam to Christianity were arrested on Tuesday in Malakshahr, on the outskirts of the central Iranian city of Isfahan. The six women, eight men and two adolescents who were arrested were assisting in a conversion ceremony and baptism of three new members of the church at a private house that had been transformed into an evangelical church.
The owners of the home, an elderly couple, were allegedly beaten up before they were locked up in an unmarked lorry. In April, 10 Christian converts were arrested in Shiraz. The official evangelical churches in Isfahan received orders not to allow any Muslims to attend their ceremonies and not to facilitate in any way the conversions. Iranian law does not stipulate any punishment for those who convert from Islam to other faiths, even if the converts are subject to repression.
A few months ago, the government presented a bill which is currently being discussed in parliament, to include in the penal code the crime of "Ertedad" which is the act of abandoning the Muslim faith. If the parliament does approve the law, the punishment for abandoning Islam will be the death penalty.

nice
but I will say this to you
What merit is there in praying for those who already love you?
It is only in the ability to pray for those who do not that you begin to pick up a cross and follow him
as he requested.
When you can pray for the persecuted Azeri and the Bahai AND the Christian
then your prayers carry far greater weight in Heaven
Spiritual Gravitas is not gained by doing what your will dictates but by what HIS will dictates
If you want to help the 16 here
pry for the 6 Bahai and the Azeri boy TOO
This is not to say I pray for EVIL
I do not
I pray it is vanquished
I pray the Psalms
I invoke all the death on them that they have chosen over life
But you need to discern WHEN that is appropriate
and WHEN it is not
and that comes through knowledge of the word
Bono has occasionally said some profound things. One thing he said was that the Psalms are the original blues.
In the Psalms, David is calling down love one minute and cursing people and wishing to walk in the blood of his enemies the next.
David was considered a man after God's own heart.
I, personally, do not believe this was because David was a good man. He was, in my opinion, a crazy motherfucker.
Instead, I think David was a man after God's own heart because David dared to speak the truth of his being directly to God.
That, in my opinion, is real prayer.
I say, pray for the death of your enemies, if that's what is in your heart. I say, also, read the whole Bible, not just your favorite chapters.
Prayer and meditation on the Word of God will tell you what you need to know.
Fuck the idea that you will ever get to a place where you will know.
It's a journey, not a destination.
We will always make mistakes. We have to dare to make decisions even though we know we will make mistakes.
That is another reason I believe that David was a man after God's own heart. Because he dared to create the world around him, even as he knew it could all go horribly wrong.
God did that too, you know.
By the way, while we're talking about flawed Prophets and a God who would create something knowing that it would go horribly wrong, let us acknowledge that Allah and Mo never made a single mistake in their entire miserable fucking lives.
LOL

Pastorius
SO RIGHT
also - the key to DAVID
was TESHUVAH - REPENTANCE
what hedid wrong
he RECONIZED
and TURNED FROM
and CONFESSED TO GOD
and did his best to SIN NO MORE
He was, in my opinion, a crazy motherfucker.
As was every hero of the Torah, and Jesus too, when defined by a secular mind
UNHINGED LUNATICS, all
Repentence, yes. I forgot that one. I have a real problem with that one.
;-)
Anyway, yes, these guys were the ultimate unhinged lunatics.
Freaking Jesus cleared the temple of all the merchants. That's what we have to do, in my opinion.
It's getting about time to clear the temple. Of course, we are not like the Lord, so we will make big mistakes.
There were no deaths reported when Jesus cleared the temple.
I have a feeling all will not go so well for us.
pastorius
How right you are
BTW repentance, obedience and waiting
are the 3 things that people find the hardest to do
and they are also the 3 things that will unlock GOD powers in your life faster than anything else
do these 3 things right
and you become apparently "supernatural"
Just like David
there's a crack in everything
thats how the light gets in
and we are all broken
what is needed is to walk as
"BROKEN-UNBROKEN"
and the 3 things I list are the key
Repentence, Obedience, and Waiting.
What were those again?
I've already forgotten them.
LOL
Anyway, I am a person who has always believed I made my own fate. And then, my fate turned out pretty shitty and I didn't want to blame myself for it, so I blamed God.
And, he said to me, "Repent, be obedient, and wait."
And, I've been saying, "Huh? I didn't hear you quite right, I can't remember what you said ..."
ever since.
Pastorius, ROTF
hysterically funny yes
yet all truth
and all wise
what you write there
problem is always the difference between knowing and walking
if I had $1 for every "failed prophet" I know
who KNEW
but couldn't walk....
I'd be in the money mah honey
at the pool at bethesda
jesus goes up to the guy and he says
ya wanna be healed?
an the guy does not say YES
instead....
He makes excuses why he CAN NOT WALK
he makes excuses to STAY CRIPPLED
In my mind, he sounds like Jackie Mason:
Oy jesus, you dont know.
I lay here, they trample me, they walk over me, no one helps me.
By the time I crawl to the edge the pool is full, no one gets out to accommodate me, no one cares about me. I cant get healed, THEY wont let me, the rat bastids.
Jesus: PICK UP YOUR MATT, & WALK
Dig that -
because this is what we all do
and this is why we all fail
an aside...
and this is what is insidious about shrinks btw too -
they keep you at the edge of the pool
Shrinks do keep you at the edge of the pool. That is true. I went to one a few months back. Two sessions. Very cathartic to talk about my problems.
Then, I'd leave the office and think about my problems, and they would become even bigger in my head.
So, I quit.
Like you said, Take up your mat and walk. And, you fall, and you get up again.
By the way, speaking of walking, for reals, I slipped on a banana peel the other day. I was in Santa Barbara to see a client, all decked out in my best suit, and I was walking down the main street, feeling good, and I slipped on a banana peel.
Embarrassing.
And then, I looked up to see if there was an anvil about to fall on my head.
Thank God, no.
AHAHAHHAAAA
oh lawdy
