The Spirit of '76 Is Not Dead

Read this

then go here Tax Day Tea Party

& follow links throughout this piece

We cannot sit by and hope things will change, that they will suddenly reverse course and not go down the road they are.

The media by and large is not going to cover smaller demonstrations for reasons Epa lists. So we need to make any and all demonstrations already int the works as massive as possible so they cannot be ignored.

Got a tea party going on in your state or hometown? -- get there if you can at all. 10th Amendment rally? --get there. Gun owner? -- then you damn well ought to support the NRA.

Talk it up where you work, live, recreate. IT IS YOUR RIGHT PROTECTED -- NOT GRANTED IT'S ALREADY YOURS-- PROTECTED BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT.

Writing your Congressmen, Sanators at all levels of gov't, your newspapers all well and good and should be done. INCLUDE TEA BAGS IN YOUR LETTERS. BUT WE MUST ALSO GATHER ENMASSE AND SHOW THEM WE ARE NOT A SMALL MINORITY.

It may come to Civil Disobedience. Marching, assembling, without the proper "permits", the proper "papers". So be it.

We are a free country but we risk losing it all to nanny-state-ism or worse.

WE HAVE BEEN POLITE TOO LONG. WE NEED TO GET IN THEIR FACES SO WE CAN'T BE IGNORED

And make sure we create a shortage of tar, feathers, rails, pitchforks, torches.

There was a pretty good turnout of about 75-100 people for a Tea Party protest in Newburyport, MA, today. There were lots of folks there with cameras so there should be some pictures I can post over the next day or so. Some guy with a John Galt button and I got about 6 people interested in reading Atlas Shrugged.

Boston is having its Tea Party on April 15, with a demonstration in front of the State House and a march to the waterfront.

Excellent verse, Anon.

A well-drilled drum and fife corps is an impressive sight. I really enjoyed this.

Keep up the great work, bros!

We have another event in Massachusetts around the 18th-19th of April that could be put to good use for promoting the cause of liberty as well: the re-enactments of the battles of Lexington and Concord. The day the colonials in our neck of the woods decided "We're Mad As Hell and We're Not Going to Take This Anymore!"

April may prove to be an interesting and instructive month here in Obamassachusetts...
