All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Trump Believes Abortion Should Be Banned And There "Should Be Some Form of Punishment" For Women Who Have Abortions
This is something I did not know about Trump. He refuses to be clear in this interview with Chris Matthews. So who knows what he really thinks.
But it is funny when Matthews feigns moral outrage at Trump's position, only to have Trump turn the tables on him, asking, "Are you Catholic?"
Matthews: "Yes."
Trump: "How do you feel about the Catholic Church's position?"
Matthews: "I accept the teaching authority of my Church on moral issues."
Trump: "Yeah, but do you know their position on abortion?"
Matthews: "Yes, I do."
Trump: "And do you concur with that position?"
Matthews: "I concur with their moral position, but legally ..."
And then Chris Matthews changes the subject, because he simply does not want to admit he agrees with Trump on this issue, and that he would be grateful, were Trump to actually be elected President, and somehow ban abortion.
If you say you agree morally that abortion is bad, but legally you don't agree, that means you would like abortion to be illegal, but as long as it's not, you will mouth the words, "It's a legal issue ..." blah blah blah.
It means nothing Chris.
Admit you agree with Trump. He gives you a thrill up your leg, doesn't he?

Apparently some pro life groups are up in arms about Trump suggesting that women should be punished. They claim his position is not in line with the pro life movement's position.
AYFKM?
So according to them if I hire an assassin to murder my wife/kid I should be given support rather than punishment? What kind of twisted logic is this?
Both the woman and the doctor should be tried for first degree murder in my opinion. Fk them both, they're ending a human life.

After the fallout Trump seems to have "clarified" that he doesn't want to punish women any longer. He can go fk himself on this one.
OT:
Air Force wife from Corpus Christi killed in Brussels attack; husband & kids critically hurt

CORPUS CHRISTI -
U.S. officials confirmed Tuesday that an Air Force family from Corpus Christi was among those impacted by the terror attacks in Belgium.
Gail Minglana Martinez died from her injuries in the attack at the international airport in Brussels.
Her husband, Kato Martinez, and their four children were hurt and remained hospitalized as of Tuesday night.
Friends told 12News news partner KIII-TV the two had just celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary, but had not lived in the area for some time.
...
While the exact conditions of Martinez and his three children were not officially released, family friends said the father was in an intensive care unit, while the children were recovering from burns sustained in the deadly attack.
The Latest: 90 remain hospitalized week after Brussels bombs
Belgian authorities say 90 people remain in hospital, 49 of them in intensive care, one week after suicide bombers killed 32 people at Brussels' airport and a subway station.
Belgium's victims identification team and Health Ministry say in a joint press conference Tuesday night that the 32 dead include 17 Belgians and 15 foreigners. They say 30 of the most seriously wounded people are being treated for burns, while 44 foreigners from 20 nations are among the injured.
Ine Van Wymersch, a spokeswoman for the Belgian prosecutor's office, says investigators believe 32 will be the final death total unless any of those hospitalized perish from their injuries.
You know, Nico, it was pretty clear in that video that he was expressing his real opinion, not some off the wall thing he thought would ingratiate him to an audience.
That's my opinion.
I agree with you and I like his honest opinion as seen in his video but now his website has a "clarifying" statement saying he wouldn't punish women, that's the one I don't like. Seems like he was pressured into issuing that statement.
This is what I'm referring to: https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/donald-j.-trump-statement-regarding-abortion
I have been consistently pro Trump and still am (not that my opinion matters either way). I also consistently give him the benefit of the doubt but on this one he sounds like he caved and that pisses me off.
I'm not happy with his wobble on this either, Nico.
How in the HELL do you consider the woman a victim in this instance?
Epa SIGHS.
Trump does not make it easy.
Those on this site know my position on this,SCIENCE determines when an abortion is murder. When the fetus can be rescued by science it's a human. That date will get earlier in pregnancy as science improves
But the right answer for Trump?
"Chris, 1st of all, abortion will NEVER be made illegal as a national policy, SCOTUS has decided this and part of the reason for this is no woman should EVER be put in the position of being compelled to break the law over her own body. It's a clown question, bro"
"Women." 18% of U.S. abortions are performed on teenagers. There are well known reports about Planned Parenthood shielding statutory rape victims from the law. 65% of U.S. abortions are coerced by parents, boyfriends, teachers.
"Fetus is not a human." Where in "science" is this proven? Nowhere. The fetus IS a human TO science. That's why human fetal organs and tissues are harvested for current scientific research in biomedicine.
I'm voting for Trump and I'm pro-life.
Epa,
I get your frustration on this issue.
I tend to think of Trump's position on this issue, and on almost all issues, as instructive, but for the most part THEY ARE NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
He is a swing of the pendulum in the other direction and that is desperately needed by now.
You would agree with that, wouldn't you?
For instance, I think you agree that Partial-Birth Abortion is murder, right? And yet, PLanned Parenthood is all for it, as is evidenced by the Baby Parts videos.
Epa,
"When the fetus can be rescued by science it's a human."
That position has way too many holes IMHO. Where do you draw the line then? If science can't rescue some guy after an accident, all of a sudden he becomes "non human"? So through "science" the government all of a sudden gets a say as to who and what is human and what's not? There are events in history where governments used "science" to label people "non human" and justify their murder. I see this as nothing different.
Its strange that there is a debate regarding HUMAN fetuses as to whether they're HUMAN or not.
Science doesn't and can't rule on these things. These are moral issues ("science" isn't some monolith either, on moral issues it comes down to opinions). For some scientists it may be perfectly okay to "discard" imperfect fetuses; for others it is plain murder the same as murdering an autistic child.

As for Trump's overall position, he's the most pro life candidate out there and I think he gets credit for that. This walking back of his position though shows he caved. That pisses me off.
But Cruz almost turned pro abortion just to be able to criticize Trump. That snake needs to go away.
"he's the most pro life candidate out there and I think he gets credit for that."
I meant, "I think he SHOULD get credit for that."
I love the fact that pro-life people are up in arms. I am moderately pro-life. But, I am tired of their being scandalized and outraged by everything. I think Trump's being honest will help them learn to chill the F out.
And, we need to disincentivize irresponsible behavior. He didn't say how. But the idea that no actions have any consequences has to stop!
His use of the word 'punishment' means to indicate consequences must happen. It is a very businessman way of thinking. I love it.
The notion that women shouldn't have to take responsibility when they break the law is the soft bigotry of low expectations.
Women are really really lame in a lot of ways. It's really pathetic.
