About that whole Trump intervention with Rudy and Reince and Newt...

Newt's a loose cannon. I'm glad he wasn't picked as the VP.
He goes off on what he thinks are intellectual ideas out loud. On Hannity he was saying that Trump needs to learn to not give the media AN INCH. And then he is whining on Twitter that the media is twisting his words when they claim he said Trump is more unacceptable than Hillary.
The way he talks, I would doubt Newt is even an insider on Trump's campaign.

I hope you are correct that Newt is no longer an insider to the Trump campaign. I used to like Newt, respecting his vast scholarship and instantaneous recall of American history - especially when he applied it in debates.
Outside of that arena - Newt, as you say, is a loose canon and simply cannot seem to avoid shooting himself and his allies in the foot repeatedly.
