All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Los Angeles
X
She had to leave Los Angeles
All her toys wore out in black and her boys had too
She started to hate every nigger and Jew
Every Mexican that gave her a lotta shit
Every homosexual and the idle rich
She had to get out (get out!)
Get out (get out!)
Get out (get out!)

During the punk phase I was living in the northeast and had one foot in CBGC and the other in the Rat. West Coast punk bands were derided as cheap and shallow imitations. Like the Surf Punks were the Dino, Desi, and Billy of the time. Guys whose parents could afford to build them home recording studios. No way could they be taken seriously.
I remember these guys as one of the few WC acts that got respectful radio play. Sounds like Debbie Harry fronting the Ramones.

X was great.
I saw them at The Roxy on Sunset back around 80.
Must have been 81, because it was after Wild Gift came out.
