Count me disappointed that the Milei's first foreign policy pronouncement was his insistence (non-negotiable) of exerting Argentine sovereignty over the Falkland Islands. Taking a page from the Galtieri-and-Goons playbook doesn't bode well IMHO.
The Argentine claim is 99.5% based on geographical proximity. It is as if the US claimed The Bahamas since they are off the coast of Florida.
I doubt Britain has the stones to defend the islands again so they will likely capitulate. That will only feed the "anti-colonial" mental virus pervading the chatty classes. Note there is no similarity to the situation in Hong Kong where Britain and China had an existing, formal, lease agreement. However, I fully expect the MSM to exploit the erroneous parallel.
