Learn your history. The Crusades were a response to four centuries of Muslim invasions of Christian lands. Up to 2/3 of former Christian lands had been taken over by the sword of Islam, including three of the five major centers of Christianity (Antioch, Jerusalem, and Damascus). Christians for sure behaved poorly in regards to the Crusades, but don't paint Muslims as victims either.
