Iran is increasing its paramilitary Qods force operatives in Venezuela while covertly continuing supplies of weapons and explosives to Taliban and other insurgents in Afghanistan and Iraq, according to the Pentagon's first report to Congress on Tehran's military. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF), the Islamist shock troops deployed around the world to advance Iranian interests, "maintains operational capabilities around the world," the report says, adding that "it is well established in the Middle East and North Africa and recent years have witnessed an increased presence in Latin America, particularly Venezuela."

We MUST rid ourselves of these meddlesome cretins. We are watching a rebuilding of what occurred from 1948-1960, but these opponents are lead by those who DON'T CARE if their nations burn. Absolutely, with the diference that the weapons in 1618-1648 didn't have the "destruction power" (I don't know if it's correct that expression, but I hope you know what I mean), nuclear, biological or other modern weapons have.
I don't know what our alternatives are going to be really. Even now I don't see them. I don't know what the situation in Iran is but Hugo Chávez's protected by Cuban security agents and is actually a security-obssessed person since he was in the Military Academy. His colleagues there told that he used to wake up in the middle of the night yelling that "they (whoever they were) wanted to kill him". Today instead of that fear, he is really fearful of "CIA coups", so I imagine it's not so easy.
