Arab League Now Critical Of The West's Military Action Against Gadaffi

Could we not see THIS coming?

The tribal mentality as Muslims continue along the mindset of us (non-Muslims) vs. them (Muslims):
The Arab League chief said on Sunday that Arabs did not want military strikes by Western powers that hit civilians when the League called for a no-fly zone over Libya.

In comments carried by Egypt’s official state news agency, Secretary-General Amr Moussa also said he was calling for an emergency Arab League meeting to discuss the situation in the Arab world and particularly Libya.

“What is happening in Libya differs from the aim of imposing a no-fly zone, and what we want is the protection of civilians and not the bombardment of more civilians,” he said.
Now, how is Obama doing to smooth this one over?

Defense Secretary Robert Gates did try to warn of the issues resulting from a no-fly zone:
Defense Secretary Robert Gates warned Wednesday that a no-fly zone in Libya may not be the best solution, saying it would require “a big operation in a big country.” “Let’s just call a spade a spade,” Gates said. “A no-fly zone begins with an attack on Libya to destroy the air defenses. That’s what you do in a no-fly zone.”...

Obama Gives Gaddafi The Ultimatum

From BBC News:
US President Barack Obama has said Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi must obey the UN's demands or face military action.

He said Thursday's UN Security Council resolution, which demanded an immediate ceasefire, was not negotiable.

He said the entire region could be destabilised if Col Gaddafi was allowed to continue attacking his own people.

Earlier, the Libyan government announced an immediate ceasefire and promised to follow the UN resolution.

Mr Obama said Col Gaddafi's troops must pull back from rebel-held towns including Benghazi, and the authorities must allow in humanitarian aid.

"If he does not comply, the international community will impose consequences," said Mr Obama. "The resolution will be enforced by military action."...
I'm going to admit to over-the-top cynicism.

In my view, BHO is campaigning for 2012.

"”The schoolgirl’s dress must be in line with Islamic tenets…it must not be transparent or sticking to the body in a way that will highlight her organs…there should not be any resemblance to the boy’s dress as our prophet (peace be upon him) had cursed men who imitate women and women who imitate men.”
  5. Spain: Conference on "Islamic feminism". "There are currents within Islamic feminism. Moderate and radical, but they all flatly refused to talk about the veil, hijab-(and banning) because, they say, “is an excuse to distract from other substantive issues.” Some carry it always, some never, some “sometimes, because it is a symbol of submission,” argues Marie Laure. But most Muslims believe that Islamic feminism is “a threat” to their traditions and religion. This will make us win local councils and from there with the great powers of Catalan autonomy, Islam will begin to be implemented" (Abdelwahab Houzi, Salafist Imam, Lérida, Catalonia).
