Redistribute Air Conditioning?

Is this another possible application of "the right thing to do," Obama's justification for his recent order that ceases the deportation of certain illegal immigrants?

From this page in the New York Times, dated June 21, 2012:
Should Air-Conditioning Go Global, or Be Rationed Away?

Temperatures in New York City have pushed toward 100 degrees this week, and air-conditioners strained the power grid (thanks in part to stores with their doors open). Meanwhile the demand for coolant gases, especially in rapidly developing countries like India, threatens to accelerate global warming.

Is it a good goal for everyone in the world to have access to air-conditioning — like clean water or the Internet? Or is it an unsustainable luxury, which air-conditioned societies should be giving up or rationing?
More HERE, including the following:
...[T]here's little we can say until we end our own society's dependence on lavish cooling. Doing that would be a good start, but addressing energy-hungry technologies one at a time won't achieve the greenhouse-gas cuts of as much as 80 percent that science says are necessary to prevent catastrophic warming. Only a per-person ceiling on overall emissions can accomplish that.

Politics In America Today

A few posts down, Pastorius called our attention to this video:

Another excerpt from CEO Steve Wynn HERE at Business Insider, dated July 18, 2011:
[Obama] keeps making speeches about redistribution and maybe we ought to do something to businesses that don't invest, their holding too much money. We haven't heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists. Everybody's afraid of the government and there's no need soft peddling it, it's the truth. It is the truth. And that's true of Democratic businessman and Republican businessman, and I am a Democratic businessman and I support Harry Reid. I support Democrats and Republicans. And I'm telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President of the United States. And until he's gone, everybody's going to be sitting on their thumbs.
Read the rest HERE.

Certainly, Obama is not to blame for all our economic woes, nor can he fix our ailing economy. That said, Obama is on record as having proposed the following:

Read the transcript HERE.

Sure, the above occurred in 2001. But has Barack Hussein Obama changed his basic political and economic philosophy? I submit that he has not! Most recently, his speeches consistently demonize the wealthy, and yesterday he issued this executive order as he blatantly bypasses Congress, which will not pass his jobs bill. He has also voiced support of Occupy Wall Street, a movement that defines itself as follows:
a horizontally organized resistance movement employing the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to restore democracy in America.
Can the American electorate see what's happening?

"Red October" 2011

From this source:

In 1917 Russia’s “Red October” shook the world.
In 2011, the US left plans to create their own “Red October” – the first shots of a major nationwide campaign to create chaos and a fear across America.

Communist Party USA leader Joe Sims writes in the latest People’s World:
Energized by President Obama’s bold call for passage of the American Jobs Act, civil rights and labor groups are calling for a national march in Washington, D.C., on October 15 to support it. The following day Obama will deliver remarks at the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial…
Yesterday, the Marxist who comments at my web site said the following in his comments, in reference to Roseanne Barr's call to behead the bankers:
Here I thought we should just pull them out of their cars and beat them with tire irons.

Either gets their attention.
The Left's mask is coming off. They know that Obama has empowered them.

The Path To Wealth Redistribution

From this post at Conservative Hideout 2.0:
Although [the debt failsafe trigger - see THIS] appears to be saying that if the governments spends too much money and drives our nation into bankruptcy, the language is key- entitlements are exempt, welfare is exempt, any ‘low-income programs’ are exempt, anything that might ‘exacerbate an economic downturn are exempt(like ‘investments’ in ‘green energy’ or any other favored liberal project), and most importantly, the spending reduction will include reduction ‘on spending through the tax code.’

So what sort of spending occurs through the tax code that may be cut out if politicians spend too much money on programs that make our nation less wealthy and prosperous and free?

The formal name for ‘spending through the tax code’ are tax expenditures, and these are basically ‘spending’ through the use of the tax code. The sorts of things that the government considers ‘spending through the tax code’ are tax credits, deductions, exclusions, exemptions, deferrals, and preferential rates.

Examples of ‘tax expenditures’ include the mortgage tax deduction, the ‘Bush’ tax cuts, the ‘Obama’ tax cuts, having pensions be tax exempt, dividend taxes, exclusion of taxes your employer pays on health care, tax credits for children, the elimination of the ‘marriage penalty, and many more. A full list of ‘tax expenditures’ can be found in this document.

What Obama is calling for and Democratic legislators are supporting and liberal bloggers are rallying behind is a provision that will automatically raise taxes on families, employers, home owners, retirees, and many more, in order to transfer wealth to low income earners and other politically favorable groups who will be exempt from such a devastating automatic tax increase.
Are WE THE PEOPLE going to stand for Obama's setting us on this road, from which there will be no turning back?

The Essence of Marxism

"Why do you have a right to your money?"

The above quotations is 28 seconds in during the confrontation between a Tea Partier and a union member:

The blackface of tyranny

From Erik Rush:
First of all, then we have to say the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama.

– Rev. Al Sharpton, March 21, 2010

Regarding Al Sharpton's above remark (made immediately after the passage of the health-care "reform" bill by the House of Representatives): First of all, then I have to say that the fact that Al Sharpton has secured sufficient credibility to be considered for consultation by respected national news venues is disgusting and shameful. In addition to epitomizing "the n-word," this is a man whose claim to fame is having attempted to frame police officers for a brutal felony in order to foment racial tension and advance his agenda of personal aggrandizement.

Let's get that straight right now … then we can go on to the fact that Obama's presidential win was a slim one, and that he was widely and deceptively sold to American voters as a centrist, rather than a socialist or a Marxist. The American public overwhelmingly want nothing to do with either.

I remember 30 years ago, when I would occasionally find myself at a private gathering, a coffee shop, or on a college campus, listening to some raggedy black nationalist ramble on about how people like them, given the opportunity, would change the U.S. into a "Marxist paradise."

Inwardly, I laughed, of course. "Like that'll ever happen," I thought.

Suffice it to say that I was wrong. You heard it here.

Because that's exactly what's taking place, though the radicals in question are not exclusively black.

Go read the whole thing.

I would only add that I think IT IS SHAMEFUL OF THE WHITE-DOMINATED MEDIA that Al Sharpton and his ilk are considered to have sufficient credibility that they are consulted by respected national news venues.

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Wright and their fellow black nationalists do not represent the educated black public, the people that I meet in the productive business and social worlds.

They only represent maladjusted Victimists.

And such people are contributing almost nothing, so their opinion means the equivalent of what they contribute.

We need to stop being fooled by the Victimists of the world.
