All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Ledeen Says Bin Laden Dead
Hat tip LGF:
According to Iranians I trust, Osama bin Laden finally departed this world in mid-December. The al Qaeda leader died of kidney failure and was buried in Iran, where he had spent most of his time since the destruction of al Qaeda in Afghanistan.
The Iranians who reported this note that this year’s message in conjunction with the Muslim Haj came from his number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri, for the first time.
May he rest in the Religion of Peace.
Osama really made a name for himself during his short, sad stay here on Earth. With a troubled upbringing and his gawky effeminate manner, things must have been tough.
Oh, and by the way, reports say his mother had been a prostitute.
Man, he must have a rough time of it.

His Mum's a prostitute and he has a gawky effeminate manner. Lol.
Things is it's pretty unlikely we'll every get absolute confirmation on his status. Maybe he's dead. But somehow I doubt it...
Will the demise of OBL make a difference in this conflict? Assuming he's gone, that is.
DB,
Of course, these reports about his Mum are unconfirmed at this time. But, if they are true, it is very tragic, isn't it?
Can you imagine how he felt?
AOW,
No, I don't think Bin Laden's death will make any difference at all.
I am skeptical about his death-- its been falsely reported several times before. Of course, it could be true (the fact that he hasn't released a video in a long time ,ight indicate this).
However, I think you made a good point-- even if its true, it might not make much of a difference. Psychologically its a boost-- but there are others that will replace him (al Zawahiri, etc). I think the media and others have made a big deal of the fact that we (the US) hadn't apprehended him-- a lot of this is propaganda. (When Saddam was finally captured, it really didn't change things...)
Yeah Krishna, you're right that it didn't change things when we caught Saddam. However, if we would have killed him, and put his head on a spike, I think it would have had some positive effect in Iraq.
The Jihadis will be defeated when we strike fear into them. Those are the rules they play by.
We need to look at them as they are. They are warriors. What bugs warriors? Being humiliated. Being called gay, having one's mother insulted, having their girlfriend taken away from them, etc.
That's how you beat warriors.
I was rather hoping Bin Laden met a more violent death, with lots of 7.62 rounds riddling his body. If he's really dead, that is.
What, Iran is sheltering al Qaeda? I'm stunned...Haven't the Iranians been keeping up with the Democrat/Left party line? "Shia and Sunni don't ever play together".
Let's see what those crazy Iranians are up to nowadays...
- Iran shelters top al Qaeda leadership (which may or may not have included bin Laden)
- is developing weapons of mass destruction
- refuses to negotiate on said WMDs
- has a government led by a homicidal maniac
- supports jihadi terrorism and terrorist groups
- has made 'Death to America' and 'Death to Israel' not just catchy slogans, but official Iranian government policy (if these aren't defacto declarations of war, I don't know what is)
- is directly responsible for the deaths of American in mulitple terrorist attacks over a span of decades (Marine Barracks 1983, and Khobar Towers 1996 are just the first two that come to mind that Iran funded, or was otherwise directly involved in)
- is also guilty for sponsoring attacks on civilians in countries allied with the US (especially Israel)
- is attempting to destabilize the American project in Iraq
Is all this enough casus belli? Or are the folks in Washington sticking their collective heads in the sand, hoping all this goes away?
I'm not convinved Bin Laden is dead, but I'm certain, after having seen the official photo of his mother that she's a prostitute, and that he made her do it. Where did the author of that post find such a photo? Why, he must be magnificent! Let's hope that no Muslims see the photo and the caption or there might well be rioting all across Mali and Indonesia. Oh horror, Pastorius, just think of the psychological damage it could do.
By the way, I read somewhere that the Turkish ambassador to Denmark's mother was a prostitute as well. And worse, there are pictures to prove it. Yes, there are many pictures, all of them of the prostitute mothers of famous Muslims. No wonder they want to blow up themselves, turning their mothers onto the mean streets the way they do.
I wonder if Sami al-Arian's mother was a prostitute? I read somewhere that Ibrahim Hooper is actually a half-naked woman. I wonder if it's true that he's a prostitue as well. Time will tell.
Uh, Dag, regarding Sami al-Arian, yes, that's definately a she. I heard it directly from the mouth of his pimp in prison.
Anti-Jihadist,
I heard some idiot "moderate" Republicans on the radio last night, debating whether we are being "prepared for war with Iran." All three of these ever so "moderate" people agreed there is no way we should attack Iran.
If these are our leaders, we are doomed.
