Women's role in Islamic supremacism

The siege of the Red Mosque in Islamabad has revealed a new aspect of Islamic supremacism: the involvement of women (and girls, something which worried me also months ago) in the bullying of non-Muslims or of people whose behaviour is deemed un-Islamic.

But the thing is, why do the women defend a religion which does not respect the most basic women's rights? Some information here (including a video).

[There is something to note about Pakistan which I forgot to post some days ago and I think no one has underlined: Pakistan is expanding its nuclear program now. Don't know but with present events and after the menace of the spread of the Talibans, I do not think it is very wise].
