As a REAL FDR, TRUMAN, HUMPHREY democrat, I have learned that to many of today's dem's schooled by people like this hate filled bag of 'estrogenic ahistoric america is evil by heritage of being begun by slave owning white men while ignoring 9 year old Aisha', regard people like me as no tonly spinels, but "spineless war criminals" was the direct quote of someone who claimed to be on Ted Kennedy's staff to me (about Joe Biden and Joe Lieberman).

Now as someone who both took part in many, and helped organize protests in 1969+ I have always found this kind of view odd to say the least. However it is iconic how how far around the bend the debate has gone, and should send a thrill of alarm through every American over non binding resolutions.

Here we have Ms. "June Scorza Terpstra", teaching academic at Loyola University, who, I have a feeling is not going to take back a word, apologize or enter some Foleyesque rehab for overwrought haters.

During a heated debate in a class I teach on social justice, several US Marines who had done tours in Iraq told me that they had "sacrificed" by “serving” in Iraq so that I could enjoy the freedom to teach in the USA. Parroting their master’s slogan about “fighting over there so we don’t have to fight over here,” these students proudly proclaimed that they terrorized and killed defenseless Iraqis. They intimated that their Arab victims are nothing more to them than collateral damage, incidental to their receipt of some money and an education.

The good news is that Mr. Arkin has suddenly become a centrist compared to this kind of idiot. The bad news is that Mr. Arkin has suddenly become a centrist compared to this kind of idiot.

I will ask again the question which assumes the worst.
What, Ms. Terpstra do you imagine went on on Saipan in 1944? On Edson's Bloody Ridge in 1942? In the Shenandoah Valley from 1862-65? During Grierson's Raid in 1862?

Storm Track Infiltration: Degree Granting Jihad U Right Here In The USA

FrontPage Magazine has an excellent article on the Al-Maghrib Institute and it’s goal of teaching Wahhabi extremism and Muslim Brotherhood activism into mosques and Muslim student groups throughout North America in at least thirteen cities. Hat tip to Michael.

The article is rather long but here are the most important highlights.

The staple of Al-Maghrib's course offerings are the double weekend seminars held at their permanent sites. In addition, the Al-Maghrib instructors are in high demand as motivational speakers at Muslim organization events all over the world. The Institute is also active amongst the 150 chapters of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) located at universities all over the US and Canada.

Did you catch that name? The Muslim Student Association. That Muslim student organization keeps coming up when attempts by Islamists are made to infiltration the colleges and curriculums of America. The MSA is one of the front groups operated by the international Muslim Brotherhood. The MSA is tasked with advancing the institutional jihad tactic of the Islamists. Al-Maghrib's Wahhabi-influenced extremism, rabid anti-Semitism and Holocaust denials, and militaristic preaching of jihad even have other Muslims expressing concern about their radicalizing preaching and programs.

But the Muslim Brotherhood influence is not the only troubling aspect to Al-Maghrib’s programs and message. In fact, all six of Al-Maghrib’s instructors have degrees from Saudi institutions controlled by the extremist Wahhabi sect.

Al-Maghrib's educational courses are accredited by the American Open University, which in turn is accredited by Al-Ahzar University in Cairo – the headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood, the oldest and largest radical Islamic organization in the world. The courses offered by Al-Mahgrib count only as course credit for the AOU's Bachelors in Islamic Studies degree, the only English language program offered by AOU.

How nice - an accredited degree in Jihadism.

Iran answers U.S. Gulf buildup with test of SSN4 anti-ship missile

NICOSIA — Iran's military tested an anti-ship missile in the Gulf as a massive U.S. naval build-up is underway.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it fired missiles designed to destroy large enemy naval vessels. The missiles were identified as the SSN4

"These missiles, with a maximum range of 350 kilometers, can strike different kinds of large warships in all of the Persian Gulf, the entire Sea of Oman and north of the Indian Ocean," IRGC deputy naval commander Rear Adm. Ali Fadavi said on Feb. 8.

The missile firing took place during an IRGC missile exercise that ended on Feb. 8. The exercise included an air and naval segment.

Fadavi termed the SSN4 a strategic anti-ship cruise missile, saying it was capable of destroying Western cruisers. He said the SSN4, with a 500-kilogram warhead, could withstand electronic counter-measures.

The SSN4 cited by the IRGC differed from that of a Soviet-origin missile deployed in the 1960s. The Soviet system was a ballistic missile with a range of 550 kilometers and a payload of 1,370 kilograms that could be fired from submarines.

Iranian officials said exercises conducted over the past three months demonstrated the military's capability to strike any target in the Gulf region. They said the surface-to-surface missiles launched during the exercises demonstrated a precision-targeting capability.

"The entire Persian Gulf is within the guards' missile range and if foreign forces are to carry out any operations they are the ones to be most hurt," Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy commander Rear Adm. Mohammad Ebrahim Dehghani said. .

Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison called the cops on fellow Congressman Tom Tancredo for smoking a cigar

Well, well, well... Ellison just made a new friend... (H/T Neocon Express)

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) believes it is his right as a Muslim to be sworn into Congress with the Quran. But apparently, the freshman lawmaker doesn’t believe it’s Rep. Tom Tancredo’s (R-Colo.) right to smoke a cigar in his congressional office.



Ellison’s office called the Capitol Hill Police on Tancredo last Wednesday night as Tancredo was in his office smoking a cigar. The lawmakers have neighboring offices on the first floor of the Longworth House Office Building.

Tancredo was still stunned a day later. “It’s very bizarre,” said Tancredo, who has never met Ellison. “Seemed to me not a good way to say hello.”

And let’s face it. Calling the cops on a colleague takes the cake for the nerviest behavior so far among members of this year’s freshman class of Congress.

I knew that this statement wasn’t right but kept my mouth shut. By the way, this aunt had seven children. I am sure that Western lady must have been petrified with fear because of her.

When the West does something wrong, Muslims say, "Hey, what do you expect from the dirty kufaar?"

When the West does something right, Muslims say, "Don't be fooled! It's really a CONSPIRACY!"

Posting to my blog every day for the last 10 months has taught me a lot about the challenges and threats we face as a society and our shared culture.
The journey I’ve taken has helped me understand what those challenges and threats are and I've attempted to frame them in a theme – a gathering storm - that would make sense to anyone who reads it.

As my understanding has matured reading hundreds of news items and blog postings a week I’ve come to the conclusion that if we are to win this threat of Islamism to our freedom loving culture, we have to come up with simple terms that explain to the majority of simple people who just don’t ‘get it’. And I’m not talking just about the far Left that hates anything and everything about America.

I’m talking about the common everyday person who doesn’t understand the conceptofIslamism, Islamists, Islamo-fascists, the confusing arguments about what Islam is and what it isn’t coming from all sides of the debate, and who can’t seem to fathom the deliberate concealment of the Islamist threat by the main stream media at worst or through its self-censorship at best.

After 9-11, there is one threat that every freedom loving person, non-Muslim and Muslim alike, on this planet understands and even the main stream media could not deny.

JIHADISM!!

All other words and concepts are too complex, confusing, even too deep for the common everyday person to understand and who we need to recruit to the fight. Jihadism is what people fear. Jihadism is understood to be the enemy. Jihadism is what needs to be defeated. One can begin any discussion from couch potatoes to intellectuals and start from an agreement of the common enemy – jihadists or commonly called terrorists.

So how does one proceed from there convincing the unaware that violet or militant Jihad or terrorism, who they agree is the enemy, is but one small part of a greater strategy? The unaware and misinformed do understand the general goal of the Jihadists. It’s no secret. The Jihadists have told us time and time again and have made it quite clear in the media, demonstrations and in their mosques. They wish to bring about a world dominated by Islam and ruled by Shariah law.

Silencing opposition in The Netherlands

Yesterday during a debate initiated by Geert Wilder's Freedom Party (PVV) on loyalty of Dutch citizens a reference was made to the double loyalty of two soon to be Deputy Ministers.

These Deputy-Ministers are: Achmed Aboutaleb and Nebahat Albayrak. A Morroccan and a Turk. Both are Labour politicians and both delivered considerable block votes to their parties. Both are legally Dutch citizens. The Netherlands, like almost any Western country hands out citizensship in the way old ladies hand-out candy: with both hands.

I seem to remember some guys named Madison, Adams, Monroe, Hamilton working on it, and sending it off for review to a guy named Jefferson who added 10 more items. Presumably the other guy in Paris, Franklin, took a look and had some ideas. We can thus assume some people who had some pretty good experience in ruling, crisis management, government, freedoms and their protections, and individual rights came up with some thoughts.

Most of these thoughts have both signified, and served.

We've done all right.

It's not luck.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that President Bush lacks the authority to invade Iran without specific approval from Congress, a fresh challenge to the commander in chief on the eve of a symbolic vote critical of his troop buildup in Iraq.

Pelosi, D-Calif., noted that Bush consistently said he supports a diplomatic resolution to differences with Iran "and I take him at his word."

At the same time, she said, "I do believe that Congress should assert itself, though, and make it very clear that there is no previous authority for the president, any president, to go into Iran."

Completely wrong and any president should challenge this as a CONFRONTATION.

Worse is Murtha who is proposing that congress pass legislation mandating where troops go and how long they can go there.

Words and actions by both individuals are designed to USURP the executive authority of the president as mandated by the Constitution.

Intolerable for ANY president, and blatantly unconstitutional.

Frankly, I would PREFER to see a declaration of war, and a congressional vote if not, but one should not mistake the lack of these actions for what the Constitution says about who is the Commander in Chief. Worse still, the President has brought this low state of affairs on himself by not holding people like Franks and Rumsfeld to the same level of responsibility that Lincoln held Mclellan, and Pope, and Burnside, and Halleck, and Fremont as both a military leader AND a politician (including premature emancipation), just to name a few.

Hamas/Fatah disagreements take place again

I thought it could happen:

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh Thursday in a bid to resolve the political crisis in the Palestinian Authority. Abbas will deliver to Haniyeh the letter of appointment for the establishment of the coalition government.

The Palestinian unity government deal reached in Mecca between Hamas and Fatah was thrown into question Wednesday night when Abbas canceled the Thursday speech in which he intended to present the deal to the Palestinian people.

Abbas also called off a Thursday visit to the Gaza Strip, where he was slated to deliver to Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh the letter of appointment for the establishment of the coalition government.

Palestinian sources said the crisis broke out due in part to disagreements over the Interior Ministry portfolio. According to the sources, the conflict primarily resulted from disagreement over appointments.

Haniyeh was supposed to serve his resignation Thursday immediately after Abbas' speech. Now, however, Haniyeh has delayed his resignation.

Hamas officials claimed the delay was due to technical problems, but Fatah representatives said it was because Hamas introduced conditions which contradicted the Mecca agreement.

Haniyeh won't resign. Not by a longshot. He'll keep on leading the Hamas itself in one way or another, for as long as he's in existence.

All you need is a Muslim Student association on your campus and the demands for a change in 'non-Islamic' curriculum starts to appear. This is a lesson that a Canadian university has learned. Muslim Student Associations are implanted in campuses and their aim is to radicalize Muslim students who do not understand Sharia. The larger goal being making Sharia a part of everyday life in the western world. If you look at it in any other way then you are very mistaken.

A recent decision by Western’s visual arts department has left some Muslim students torn between their love for drawing and painting and their devotion to Islam. After making accommodations for students for several years, the visual arts department added a note to the bottom of nine course descriptions effective Sept. 1, 2005, indicating “some sessions may involve drawing from the nude (female or male) as a required component of the course.” Though the note was added a year and a half ago, some students are just starting to feel its effects and voice their concerns.

And, maybe, you ought to move to America, open a business, and contribute to society. There are opportunities here in America that just don't exists in other parts of the world.

Don't get me wrong, we have plenty of anti-Semites here too, and many of them happen to be Muslims. And, most of our Mosques are Saudi-funded, but I think there is a real opportunity for growth here that I don't see anywhere else.

Suicide attack planned on Wilders

From Expatica, with thanks to Fjordman, who keeps an eye on the international reporting on Dutch affairs. Something we at KV should be doing a lot more, instead of relying on internal MSM reporting. Because this bit of news should have made headlines in the Netherlands, but didn't. Not by a long shot. One wonders why not...

MP Geert Wilders was threatened with a suicide attack last week. Two young men reportedly planned to shoot the politician down and detonate a van full of explosives next to the politician. “Many innocent people were to die in the chaos.”

This has emerged from the report Wilders filed with the Haaglanden police. A warning of the attack planned for either The Hague or Amsterdam came via the anonymous hotline for crime tips. A similar, but less detailed, death threat came in via the hotline this week. It is unusual for this hotline to be used to announce death threats.

The initial, very concrete warning spoke about an attack planned for early February. Wilders would first be shot, and then a man would drive a white delivery van into the victim and detonate the 500 to 600 kilos of explosives in the vehicle.

The person who called the hotline said that the perpetrators were not fundamentalists, but “just wanted revenge.”

Well, that's okay then. Just as long as they're not fundamentalist. Because that would be, eehm... awkward?

Anyway, this news comes hot on the heels of an interview that Wilders gave yesterday, in which he doesn't exactly mince words viz-a-vis and apropos of (small Thin Blue Line reference) the Religion of Peace(tm). See also Isaac Schrödingers post below.

According to Wilders, Islam is a violent religion. "If Mohammed lived here today, I would propose tarring and feathering and hunting him out of the country as an extremist. (...) If Muslims want to stay here, they must tear up and throw away half the Koran. They must not listen to their Imam. I have read the Koran. (...) And I know that there are enough terrible things in it. If Muslims do assimilate, they are fully-fledged citizens, not a millimetre less valuable than you or I."

Wilders believes his new PVV party - it obtained 9 Lower House seats in November - can grow into "one of the biggest parties" in parliament. "Other parties avoid the themes that threaten us in our existence. Everything we are proud of, we sell to the devil. (...) You feel that you are no longer living in your own country."

On his thoughts about Israel:

The only criticism he has of the country is that "I find Israel sometimes listens to Europe too much. It should have intervened in Lebanon much earlier. I am more inclined to consider that Israel does not go far enough than that it goes too far."

Many are encouraging a ”Gathering of Eagles” (symbolic of our freedom) at the Viet Nam Memorial Wall on March 17, 2007, as a signal that a segment of America does not agree with the “anti-war/anti-America” rally on the same day. As noted above, the anti-war/anti-America crowd is publishing intention to use the Viet Nam Memorial as a backdrop to their rally………..this cannot happen……..it cannot go unchallenged.

Based on the input received, here is what is suggested as a means to identify those of us attending/visiting the Viet Nam Memorial wall and other Memorials on March 17, 2007 opposing the anti-war distortions.

We want to send a different message than the “anti-war/anti-America” surrender crowd, so we should be clearly set apart from them.

Wear a Red Armband on the right arm (Red often symbolizes/represents courage, revolution, hardiness, blood, and/or valor) . If red is not your color, choose another, but wear an “armband”.

On the armband each person should print something, e.g. WWII, Korea, Nam, Iraq, spouse, widow, POW, Vet, Legion, patriot, citizen, etc., or other respectful phrase one wants to help us identify one another.

We need to remember all American’s are invited to support our effort which is intended as a defender of hallowed ground and intended as a non-violent competition between those that would sell out America and those of us who support freedom and keeping the fight with the enemy on distant shores.

At this time we have visitors/supporters coming from North, South, East, and West to include Hawaii….. “Rolling Thunder” will also visit Washington, D.C on March 17 in support of “Gathering of Eagles”.

Many of us will be wearing favorite caps, shirts, jackets, jungle fatigues, desert dress, medals, etc. to include the Red Armband or another color if desired……….it will be a grand reunion, a time of new friendships, which will also, God willing, rekindle a new light of American patriotism which would filter down the mall toward the Capitol of the United States…..maybe even the main stream media (MSM)

…..obviously more detail is needed which will come as we draw nearer…look at the web sites, live blog in the near future.

We know some of the, who, what, when, why, where, …….it’s up to each of us to supply the “how”.

Car bomb in Iran 'kills 11 people'

(BBC) Eleven people have been killed in a bomb blast near a bus in city of Zahedan in south-eastern Iran, the official Irna news agency has reported.

The bomb, hidden in a car, targeted members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, the agency said, although it is unclear if all the dead belonged to the guard.

Peters' article is worth a read but he is as far off the rails as the excellent Stephen Schwartz (who not so bizarrely, once you know his personal history, waxes gentle over the guy who gently came back to persia in 1979) with regard to Shia Islam.

Is there a cultural gap between the Arabs and the Persians, and the Mesopotamians? Sure.

But it doesn't explain all history there, Ali, or Husayn. Or why a racist, genocidal clearly uncontrollable antisemitism has infected the descendants of a man who FREED the jews from the first disapora, and who now govern a nascent nuclear power, whose deterrability is at best, QUESTIONABLE

But here is where Peters in most wrong... his attempt to inoculate his own opinion from rejection..

Many will reflexively reject this interpretation of Shi'ism and Sunni Islam as two separate faiths with profoundly different inheritances. Blog Bedouins and "scholars" alike will feel threatened. Al-Sadr fled Iraq for Iran

It appears he doesn't trust Allah with his life when it comes to dealing with Big Satan.

(AP) Anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr fled Iraq for Iran ahead of a security crackdown in Baghdad and the arrival of 21,500 U.S. troops sent by President Bush to quell sectarian violence, a senior U.S. official said Tuesday.

Al-Sadr left his Baghdad stronghold some weeks ago, the official said, and is believed to be in Tehran, where he has family. The official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss U.S. monitoring activities, said fractures in al-Sadr's political and militia operations may be part of the reason for his departure. The move is not believed to be permanent, the official said.

Word of al-Sadr's departure coincides with an announcement that Iraq will close its borders with Iran and Syria for 72 hours as part of the drive to end the violence that has threatened to divide the capital along sectarian lines. [...]

Muslim Terrorists Planning Mass-Murder At America's Schools

For all you parents and grandparents who still don’t think controlling our borders and knowing who is in our country is important, you might want to check out Mass Slaughter in Our Public Schools: - The Terrorists' Chilling Plan. Reporting on an anti-terrorism conference he’d recently attended, Chuck Remsberg, Senior PoliceOne Contributor, had this to say:

“….according to two trainers at an anti-terrorism conference on the East Coast, preparations for attacks on American schools that will bring rivers of bloodand staggering body counts are well under way in Islamic terrorist camps.

· The intended attackers have bluntly warned us they're going to do it.

· They're already begun testing school-related targets here.

· They've given us a catastrophic model to train against, which we've largely ignored and from which they have learned more deadly tactics.

We don't know for sure what they will do. No one knows the future. But by definition, a successful attack is one we are not ready for," declared one of the instructors, Lt. Col. Dave Grossman. Our schools fit that description to a "T"-as in Terrorism and Threat.

Should we be surprised? Not when Al-Qaeda has publicly asserted the "right" to kill 2,000,000 American children, Rassa explained, and has warned that "operations are in stages of preparation" now. Rassa played videotapes confiscated in Afghanistan, showing al-Qaeda terrorists practicing the takeover of a school. The trainees issue commands in English, rehearse separating youngsters into manageable groups and meeting any resistance with violence. Some "hostages" are taken to the rooftop, dangled over the edge, then "shot."

"Any place that has given [Islamic terrorists] trouble, they've come after the kids," Grossman said. Muslim religious literature, according to Rassa, states clearly that the killing of children not only is "permitted" in Islam but is "approved" by Mohammed, so long as the perpetrators "are striving for the general good" as interpreted by that religion.

He cited actual recent instances in Indonesia where girls on their way to school have been beheaded and in other countries where children have been shot, mutilated, raped or burned alive.

In this country this year ['06], Rassa said, there have been several school bus-related incidents involving Middle Eastern males that raise suspicion of terrorist activity. These include the surprise boarding of a school bus in Florida by two men in trench coats, who may have been on a canvassing mission, and the attempt in New York State by an Arab male to obtain a job as a school bus driver using fraudulent Social Security documents. The latter gave an address in Detroit, home to a large colony of fundamentalist Muslims.

Rassa stated that floor plans for half a dozen schools in Virginia, Texas and New Jersey have been recovered from terrorist hands in Iraq.

Teen shooter in Salt Lake was Bosnian Muslim

When I first saw the name in the AP coverage of the gunman at a Salt Lake City shopping mall, which is Sulejman Talovic, I certainly had to wonder about the first name. Now, thanks to the Salt Lake Tribune I was shocked to find out, that it looks like the killer was:

The 18-year-old man who shot and killed at least five people Monday night at Trolley Square has been identified as Sulejmen Talovic, a Bosnian refugee who lived in Salt Lake City.

Little additional information was released about Talovic.

The Bosnian community, which numbers about 3,000 in Utah, planned a news conference later this afternoon.

Talovic parked his car in the west parking lot and walked into the mall, encountering two people, whom he shot. Then he walked further into the mall and shot a woman, said Police Chief Chris Burbank.

He then walked to a gift shop and shot five people. He shot several other people before he was gunned down by an off-duty Ogden police officer assisted by four Salt Lake City police officers, Burbank said.

He had a backpack that carried numerous rounds of ammunition as well as a .38-caliber handgun, said the chief.

Police have no motive in the killing.

Perhaps they might want to check into his religious educational background?

“What I would say — and meant to say — is that their service hasn’t been honored,” Mr. Obama told reporters in Nashua, N.H., “because our civilian strategy has not honored their courage and bravery, and we have put them in a situation in which it is hard for them to succeed.”

A New Hampshire reporter asked Mr. Obama whether he regretted the remark, made at a rally on Sunday that “we ended up launching a war that should have never been authorized and should have never been waged, and to which we now have spent $400 billion and have seen over 3,000 lives of the bravest young Americans wasted.”

“Even as I said it,” Mr. Obama said Monday, “I realized I had misspoken.”

Storm Track Intimidation: Muslim Women Confront Quebec Town

The storm of controversy raised by a small village in Quebec (which recently announced a “code of life,” that lays out societal norms for Herouxville, 165 kilometers northeast of Montreal ) has a new aspect it to it.

Muslims are validating the need for it.

The declaration, passed by the town council last month, says a person’s face should not be covered, except at Halloween, and that children should sing Christmas songs in December. It warns would-be immigrants that women can vote, drive and dance if they choose. It says adults can drink alcohol and children cannot bring weapons, religiously symbolic or not, to school despite a Supreme Court of Canada ruling that has already upheld that right for Sikh Canadians.

And of course, the first protesters out of the box were religious minorities. One such minority has sensitivities were ruffled are – surprise, surprise – Muslims.

Clad in traditional Islamic head scarves, a delegation of Muslim women paid a visit Sunday to the Quebec town that passed a controversial code aimed at potential immigrants…….

Although the list has no legal weight, it clearly targets religious minorities, said May Haidar, one of the women who made the journey to the community of 1,300 on Sunday afternoon. “We’re disappointed by this `code of life,”’ Haidar said. “It’s apparent there is a misconception and a wrong view of Muslim women, so we want to open a dialogue to let them know us and, of course, we want to know them.”

First of all, the “code’ does not make specific reference to any religion or ethnic groups. It’s a common sense declaration of the values of the community. Second of all, why would nay group call attention to itself protesting a negative? Doesn’t that group have something to be concerned about? By saying it opposes a decent set of Western values prove that the group itself endorses that which the “code” tries to prevent? What kind of “dialogue” do these Muslim women want to have? That they support their oppression which the “code’ clearly is against?

Iraqi Insurgents using Austrian Sniper Rifles from Iran

Austrian sniper rifles that were exported to Iran have been discovered in the hands of Iraqi terrorists, The Daily Telegraph has learned. More than 100 of the.50 calibre weapons, capable of penetrating body armour, have been discovered by American troops during raids. The Steyr HS50 is a long range, high precision rifle. The guns were part of a shipment of 800 rifles that the Austrian company, Steyr-Mannlicher, exported legally to Iran last year. The sale was condemned in Washington and London because officials were worried that the weapons would be used by insurgents against British and American troops. Within 45 days of the first HS50 Steyr Mannlicher rifles arriving in Iran, an American officer in an armoured vehicle was shot dead by an Iraqi insurgent using the weapon.

Over the last six months American forces have found small caches of the £10,000 rifles but in the last 24 hours a raid in Baghdad brought the total to more than 100, US defence sources reported. The find is the latest in a series of discoveries that indicate that Teheran is providing support to Iraq's Shia insurgents. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, yesterday denied that Iran had supplied weapons to Iraqi insurgents. But on Sunday US officials in Baghdad displayed a range of weapons they claimed had originated in Iran. They said 170 American and British soldiers had been killed by such weapons. The discovery of the sniper rifles will further encourage those in Washington who want to see Iran's uranium-enriching facilities destroyed before a nuclear weapon is produced. The Foreign Office expressed "serious concerns" over the sale of the rifles last year and Britain protested to the Austrian government. A Foreign Office spokesman said last night: "Although we did make our worries known the sale unfortunately went ahead and now the potential that these weapons could fall into the wrong hands appears to have happened."The rifle can pierce all body armour from up to a mile and penetrate armoured Humvee troop carriers. It is highly accurate and fires a round called an armour piercing incendiary, a bullet that the Iranians manufacture. The National Iranian Police Organisation bought the rifles allegedly to use them against drug smugglers in an £8 million order placed with Steyr in 2005. The company was given permission to export them by the Austrian government, which is not a Nato member.

Iran will be able to develop enough weapons-grade material for a nuclear bomb and there is little that can be done to prevent it, an internal European Union document has concluded.

In an admission of the international community’s failure to hold back Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the document – compiled by the staff of Javier Solana, EU foreign policy chief – says the atomic programme has been delayed only by technical limitations rather than diplomatic pressure. “Attempts to engage the Iranian administration in a negotiating process have not so far succeeded,” it states.

The downbeat conclusions of the “reflection paper” – seen by the Financial Times – are certain to be seized on by advocates of military action, who fear that Iran will be able to produce enough fissile material for a bomb over the next two to three years. Tehran insists its purposes are purely peaceful.

“At some stage we must expect that Iran will acquire the capacity to enrich uranium on the scale required for a weapons programme,” says the paper, dated February 7 and circulated to the EU’s 27 national governments ahead of a foreign ministers meeting yesterday.

“In practice . . . the Iranians have pursued their programme at their own pace, the limiting factor being technical difficulties rather than resolutions by the UN or the International Atomic Energy Agency.

“The problems with Iran will not be resolved through economic sanctions alone.”

Reform At Will (Not)

“Reform”. For those who are not into the dhimmi mindset, for those who do not believe terrorism is “resistance against Western imperialism”, for those who recognize that we are the ones who are up against an imperialistic ideology, called Islam, that word is the last glimmer of hope for true lovers of peace, the only alternative to World War III. If Islam could be reformed to be like other religions, whether personal or national or having dreams of worldwide acceptance but through the power of the deity or of intellectual persuasion rather than through human military efforts, then the need to confront it on the worldwide battlefield would be spared from us. But hope is one thing; every hope needs to be evaluated by a study of its feasibility.

Is religious reform at will possible, and if so, how long could it take? Time is of the essence here, because, as Fjordman emphasizes, it will not do us much good to witness the reform of Islam after the demographic jihad has brought our states down on their knees before the god of the Koran. In an attempt to answer these questions, I compare religions and reformations in them; not all the comparisons may be applicable to Islam, yet the workings of the religious mind share some common points that can shed light on the issue.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Chimpanzees may have had their own "Stone Age," with evidence showing they were using stone tools to crack nuts 4,300 years ago, researchers reported on Monday.

They said their findings suggest that the common ancestor of chimpanzees and humans started using tools more than 7 million years ago, when the two species started to evolve separately.

"It's not clear whether we hominins invented this kind of stone technology, or whether both humans and the great apes inherited it from a common forebear," said archeologist Julio Mercader of the University of Calgary in Alberta, who led the study. [...]

Fake Muslim outrage over Israeli excavations takes a new twist: Egyptian MP: Nothing will work with Israel except nuclear bomb.

(AP) Israeli excavations near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem sparked angry reactions on Monday from Egyptian parliament members, including one who said only a nuclear bomb could stop Israel.

The excavations, which aim to salvage artefacts before construction of a pedestrian bridge leading to the complex also sacred to Jews, have angered many Muslims who fear the work will harm the foundations of al-Aqsa mosque. Israel says the holy places will not be harmed.

"That cursed Israel is trying to destroy al-Aqsa mosque," Mohammed el-Katatny of President Hosni Mubarak's National Democratic Party (NDP) told a heated parliament session held to discuss the Israeli digging.

"Nothing will work with Israel except for a nuclear bomb that wipes it out of existence," he said.

Egypt was the first Arab state to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979, but many Egyptians still regard Israel as an enemy because of its continued conflict with Palestinians.

Several Egyptian lawmakers at Monday's session called on the government to abolish all agreements with Israel, but the house has little say in national security issues or foreign policy, ultimately dictated by Mubarak who has rejected similar calls in the past.

"The war with Israel is still ongoing whether we like it or not," NDP lawmaker Khalifa Radwan said.

Mohamed Amer, another ruling party member, said: "What this [Israeli] gang is doing makes me demand that we trample over all the agreements we signed."

Israeli authorities said on Monday they would reconsider the planned construction work near the mosque in response to Muslim protests but would continue to search for ancient artifacts in the area.

REPORT: NORTH KOREA TENTATIVELY AGREES TO DISARM

BEIJING (AP) -- The U.S. envoy to talks on North Korea's nuclear program said Tuesday that negotiators reached a tentative agreement on initial steps for the communist nation's disarmament.

Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said the agreement outlined specific commitments for North Korea and would set up working groups to implement those goals to begin meeting in about a month. He declined to give other details.

"I'm encouraged by this that we were able to take a step forward on the denuclearization issue," Hill said.

Siraj Wahhaj was identified by the US Attorney's office as a co-conspirator of the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing. Wahhaj has openly called for the US Government to be replaced with a Muslim Caliphate - something in keeping with CAIR's long term objectives. It should also be noted that Muslim Student Associations across the United States and Canada have been sponsoring paintball outings to prepare Muslim students for combat against us. That's right – paramilitary training taking place on our very soil.

Some mosques organize trips to such fields throughout the year.

Based upon my research, it is a virtual certainty that the MANPADS used to bring down these US helicopters in recent days are Iranian-supplied. The weapons Iran has provided are either Chinese-made QW-1 or Iran's own copy-cat Mithaq-1, both of which are comparable to the US-made Stinger MANPADS. Hazardous materials teams and other first responders were dispatched to the NorthTown Mall at approximately 3:30 p.m. yesterday after noxious fumes of unknown origin sickened nearly 40 people inside. Victims complained about eye, nose and throat irritation, and were treated at two local hospitals. Officials are uncertain of the nature or origin of the chemical irritant at this time. Officials closed the mall to shoppers following the evacuation and an investigation of the incident is continuing.

Background and justification

Whereas Religion is defined as an institution dedicated to improving social conscience and promoting individual and societal spiritual growth in a way that is harmless to others not participating in or practicing the same;

Whereas the United States of America was founded on the ideals of individual rights, including the individual right to practice the religion of choice, or no religion, and that there would be no compulsion to religion, nor state sanctioned religion, nor a “religious test” for participation in the body politic;

Whereas Islam includes a complete political and social structure, encompassed by the religious law, Sharia, that supersedes any civil law and that Islam mandates that no secular or democratic institutions are to be superior to Islamic law;

Whereas Islam preaches that it and it alone is the true religion and that Islam will dominate the world and supplant all other religions and democratic institutions;

Whereas Saudi Arabia, the spiritual home of Islam does not permit the practice of any other religion on its soil and even “moderate” Muslims states such as Turkey actively suppress other religions;

Whereas Islam includes as its basic tenant the spread of the faith by any and all means necessary, including violent conquest of non-believers, and demands of its followers that they implement violent jihad (war) against those un-willing to convert or submit to Islam, including by deception and subversion of existing institutions;

Whereas on 9/11/2001 19 Muslim high-jackers acting in the name of Islam killed 3,000 Americans, and numerous other acts of terrorism have been directed at American people around the world;

Whereas representatives of Islam around the world including Osama Bin Laden (architect of 9/11), the president of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, HAMAS, Hezbolla, and other Islamic groups have declared jihad (war) on America, and regularly declare that America will cease to exist;

Whereas there is no organized Islamic opposition to violent proponents of Islam;

Therefore: Islam is not a religion but a political ideology more akin to Fascism and totally in opposition to the ideals of freedom as described in the United States Constitution.

Be it resolved that the following Amendment to the Constitution be adopted:

Amendment 28
Article I

The social/political/ideological system known around the world as Islam is not recognized in the United States as a religion.

The practice of Islam is therefore not protected under the 1st Amendment as to freedom of religion and speech.

Article II
As representatives of Islam around the world have declared war, and committed acts of war, against the United States and its democratic allies around the world, Islam is hereby declared an enemy of the United States and its practice within the United States is now prohibited.

Article III
Immediately upon passage of this Amendment all Mosques, schools and Muslim places of worship and religious training are to be closed, converted to other uses, or destroyed. Proceeds from sales of such properties may be distributed to congregations of said places but full disclosure of all proceeds shall be made to an appropriate agency as determined by Congress. No compensation is to be offered by Federal or State agencies for losses on such properties however Federal funding is to be available for the demolishing of said structures if other disposition cannot be made.

The preaching of Islam in Mosques, Schools, and other venues is prohibited. The subject of Islam may be taught in a post high school academic environment provided that instruction include discussion of Islam’s history of violence, conquest, and its current war on democratic values.

The preaching or advocating of Islamic ideals of world domination, destruction of America and democratic institutions, jihad against Judaism, Christianity and other religions, and advocating the implementation of Sharia law shall in all cases be punishable by fines, imprisonment, deportation, and death as proscribed by Congress. Violent expressions of these and other Muslim goals, or the material support of those both in the United States and around the world who seek to advance these Islamic goals shall be punishable by death.

Muslims will be denied the opportunity to immigrate to the United States.

Article IV
Nothing in this amendment shall be construed as authorizing the discrimination against, of violence upon, nor repudiation of the individual rights of those Americans professing to be Muslim. The individual right of conscience is sacrosanct and the practice of Islam within the privacy of home and self is strictly protected to the extent that such individuals do not violate the prohibitions described in Article III.


This is what we did to German Nazism, and it is what we did to Japanese Shintoism in the aftermath of WWII.

The fact that we have not done this to Islam in Iraq and Afghanistan proves that we are not yet serious about fighting this war.

Everything written in this proposed admendment is right, and just, and according to the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution of the United States of America. It follows like rain falls from storm clouds.

I can not wait until we get this serious. God speed the day to us, no matter what that means. Bring it on.

Fuck It - We Ain't Giving Up The Ghost

Cambridge University can't find the backbone to stand behind a student who criticizes Islam (thanks to Religion of Pieces):


A CAMBRIDGE University student is at the centre of a race-hate probe after printing anti-Islamic material in a magazine.

The 19-year-old second year student at Clare College was in hiding today (Friday, 09 February) after printing the racist cartoon and other vile material.

The article is said to be so inflammatory the undergraduate has been taken to a secret location for his own safety.

Today (Friday, 09 February), senior college officials were locked in urgent talks about how the material came to be published and what action to take against the student at the centre of the scandal.

A university spokesman said police had been made aware of the incident.

A spokesman f o r Cambridgeshire Police said: "This is a matter for the university authorities to deal with."

He added that an investigation was not yet in progress.

The student magazine, Clareification, printed a cropped copy of the cartoon of the prophet Mohammed next to a photo of the president of the Union of Clare Students.

The cartoon was captioned with the president's name and vice versa.

There was also comment suggesting one was a "violent paedophile" and the other was "a prophet of God, great leader and an example to us all."

The cartoon was the same one which caused riots across the world when it was printed in a Danish newspaper.

For his own safety and that of others, the student, who is British, has been taken out of his current accommodation and put in a secure place.

The paper had been renamed Crucification for a special edition on religious satire.

The front page included headlines stating: "Ayatollah rethinks stance on misunderstood Rushdie".

On page six, pictures were shown of Muslims holding placards reading: "Behead those who insult Islam" and "Freedom go to Hell."

Enraged students have bombarded the Union of Clare Students with complaints and vice-president of the university's Islamic society described it as "hugely offensive" and "crude unabashed prejudice."

In a rare move, Clare College fellows have called a Court of Discipline which will sit in judgment on the youth responsible for sparking what is being regarded as one the most embarrassing incidents for the university in years.


God save us from these fucking pussies. God help us. God, help us, please, our people have given up the ghost.
