It's rare when your representatives are PERSONALLY accused of doing murder

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a senior Iranian official who has represented his government on official trips to Iraq and Egypt this year.

Gertz :Brig. Gen. Mohammed Jafari, the powerful deputy head of the Iranian National Security Council and a senior member of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, is being sought in connection with a 1989 assassination in Vienna.

Jafari was part of the formal Iranian government delegation that participated in a conference this spring on Iraq in Sharm el Sheik, Egypt.

In January, a major U.S. military operation sought to capture him in Irbil, Iraq according to reports in the London Independent and the Washington Post.

The Post reported: "In January, the United States again targeted two high-ranking Iranians, including Gen. Minojahar Frouzanda, the Revolutionary Guard intelligence chief, and Mohammed Jafari, deputy head of Iran's National Security Council, U.S. officials say. They eluded capture."

Calling a Spade a Spade

My latest Malaysia Today column. Apologies for the length:

From the Anti Jihadist--Calling a Spade a Spade

In one of my past columns at Malaysia Today, I quoted one Ghazi al-Qusaibi, a former Saudi ambassador to London, and who is now a senior minister in the Saudi government. If you recall, he said:

“…flogging, stoning, and amputations are, in Muslim eyes, the core of the Islamic faith.”

Of course, as frequent Malaysia Today writer Mr. Farouk Peru would have it, this minister’s opinion on his own religion is simply the mad, misguided ravings of a lone nut case. Certainly, says Mr. Farouk, how could Mr. al-Qusaibi ever get such quaint, misguided ideas about Islam?

Very well then. Let’s consult the opinions of other well-known and respected authorities in Islam, and see what they have to say about their own religion...

Syrian attitudes towards Jews and Israel

The JTA was able to send a reporter to Syria recently, where local attitudes towards Jews and Israel seem quite odd. On the one hand, they actually respect the very few Jews left living there, ditto their religion (or so it would seem). On the other hand, their opinions on Israel are more revealingly hostile.
Residents of Aleppo, asked for directions to the Harat al-Yahud, the former Jewish quarter, pointed the way without a hint of hostility. In fact, a sign in Arabic at the entrance to the abandoned Joab Ben Zeruiah synagogue warns against dumping trash "in front of this holy place of worship."

But the attitude changes on Israel.

"Israel is one thing, and Jews are something else,” Mahmoud Sharif, an English-speaking tour guide, told JTA in Aleppo. "We respect the Jewish religion and consider it one of God's religions, but we don't accept Israel."
So he says. The impression one gets from this is that Syrians ostensibly respect Jews/Israelis and their religion, but hate the Israel. But, that all seems to have what to do with taqqiya, and the view that the Jews still left in Syria are dhimmified and cowed enough to not bother about.
Sharif suggested that the Jews left "because Syria wasn't a good country to live in, and because there were more opportunities in other countries."

As to Israel, the 31-year-old college graduate said the problem is not with its people but its government.

“Israel uses heavy weapons against children," said Sharif, who did his army service on Syria's border with the Golan Heights, which Israel captured in the Six-Day War of 1967. "They've forced Palestinians from their land. The Palestinians have a miserable life, and many [refugee] families in Syria still think of their villages. If you ask them about Palestine, they will cry."
Sob stories, sob stories and more sob stories, not to mention how the inteviewee invokes the stereotype of Israelis as child-killing savages.
"People here don't like Israel," Sharif said. "They think about this situation every day. It's our daily problem. They think Israel won't last forever."

Asked what it would take to change people's attitudes, Sharif thought for a moment.

"If Israel gave us back the Golan, it would be a good sign they really want peace," he suggested. "[But] whether the government makes peace with Israel or not, the people will not agree. And if they agree, it's because they'll be forced to agree. They hate Israel."
In that case, I'd see no reason for any decent person to have anything to do with Syria. They are indoctrinated to hatred, and until they're willing to reeducate, they're asking for isolation. This also contradicts the earlier claim that the only problem they have is with the Israeli government. It's not just them that they hate. It's the citizenry of Israel as well.

Wouldn't an Islamic London be great?

This is the title of an article written in British paper Times Out London. In it they praise the Muslim meals, the 5 prayers a day for their benefits for health, the much more environmentally friendly the Muslims would be, the equality in education or the Islamic art in London.

They praise it so much that there are people who consider this as a hoax. Others have protested fiercely against it, considering it a true praise of an Islamic London.

Anyway, that would be for you to decide...

Turkey: "no incursion into Iraq"

As epaminondas has posted before, Turkish Army has entered Iraq -although later they have denied it- allegedly to pursue PKK terrorists.

The problem that this poses to US -and to West in general- is that both Turkish and Kurds are important US allies. Turkey is facing a very unstable situation specially as a result of the tension between laicists-kemalists and islamists -now in Government-. Kurds are an important US-ally in Iraq and an important enemy for Iranian mullahs, but in an important number they are also supporters of PKK, an organisation considered by US as a terrorist one.

This moves comes as Sarkozy has declared that he will not oppose to EU-Turkey talks about Turkish integration in EU -after his rejectment during all the electoral campaign, which has caused the natural criticism- and when Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I wants Turkish Muslims to have the same rights the Muslims have both in Europe and in Turkey.

It's amazing how boring it is, when the obvious is confirmed..we ARE the main enemy

The Blotter (ABS NEWS):Document- Iran Caught Red-Handed Shipping Arms to Taliban

NATO officials say they have caught Iran red-handed, shipping heavy arms, C4 explosives and advanced roadside bombs to the Taliban for use against NATO forces, in what the officials say is a dramatic escalation of Iran's proxy war against the United States and Great Britain.

"It is inconceivable that it is anyone other than the Iranian government that's doing it," said former White House counterterrorism official Richard Clarke, an ABC News consultant.

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates stopped short earlier this week of blaming Iran, saying the U.S. did not have evidence "of the involvement of the Iranian government in support of the Taliban."

But an analysis by a senior coalition official, obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com, concludes there is clear evidence of Iran's involvement.

DUH, no really?

Silly me, I thought the experts were correct when they kept insisting the salafi freaks and Khomeinist freaks would never work together, you know sort of like Osama and the mullahs, or the seculars like Saddam and the Zawalhiris of the world. Impossible !

Here's some Turkish delight

COLOR THIS, WHAT IS NATO?

Stratfor this AM:

TURKEY: Turkey has no plans to send troops into Northern Iraq to confront Kurdish militants, though military action remains an option for the future, a Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman said. Recent buildups of Turkish troops and tanks near the Iraqi border have sparked concerns that Turkey might launch operations against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members in the Iraq's Kurdish north, though the Turkish army has said the buildup is intended to combat PKK members in Turkey.

AP Noon:

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Several thousand Turkish troops crossed into northern Iraq early Wednesday to chase Kurdish guerrillas who operate from bases there, Turkish security officials told The Associated Press.

Two senior security officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media, said the raid was limited in scope and that it did not constitute the kind of large incursion that Turkish leaders have been discussing in recent weeks.

"It is not a major offensive and the number of troops is not in the tens of thousands," one of the officials told the AP by telephone. The official is based in southeast Turkey, where the military has been battling separatist Kurdish rebels since they took up arms in 1984.

The U.S. military said it could not confirm the reports but was "very concerned."

The last major Turkish incursion into northern Iraq was in 1997, when about 50,000 troops were sent to the region.

Our Pal for Peace Abb-ass

The question which keeps intruding lately is, are we led by fools or the disingenuous?

U.S. subsidizing repression of Palestinian dissidents

Gertz:Last week, Bush administration officials pledged to Congress that U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority would not help terrorists in attacks against Israel. Well, the officials were right. The problem is that U.S. aid is being used by the PA to terrorize its own population.
On May 26, the PA Preventive Security Apparatus, under the direct control of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, announced that it had arrested numerous Palestinians.
Their crime: collaboration with Israel.
Don't be fooled by the charge.
The PA has often used the term "collaboration" when it arrests dissidents, reformists and ordinary people who happened to cross a Fatah thug.
PSA said this group of collaborators, equipped with computers for communications, were recruiting Palestinian youngsters to impede the Palestinian uprising against Israel.
In other words, Abbas, who the administration insists has been preaching peace, arrests Palestinians when they actually work for peace.

Bernie Shaw Lament -"I don't want to hear an anchor's personal opinion about anything. Just report the news."

Stating that Fox has degraded his alma mater's previous hegemony over what worldwide 24 hour news reporting is:

Asked what he now thinks of CNN, Shaw told WTTW-Channel 11's John Callaway: "I try not to. I'm very, very disappointed with the way the news management at my favorite network has gone. CNN has fine women and men working there. Lou Dobbs, one of the leaders there.

"Unfortunately, Fox News is the ratings leader . . . on the cable side of the business, and what Fox puts on the air is not news."

What Fox does, he said, is "commentary, personal analysis."

Calling himself "very straitlaced [and] very old-fashioned," Shaw said: "When anchors are reporting the news, they should report the news and allow the viewers at home to decide what they think about issues.

"I don't want to hear an anchor's personal opinion about anything. Just report the news.

"But CNN continues to ape many of the on-air mannerisms of the Fox News Network, and I don't like that," he said.

It's amazing. The size of his blind spot is amazing. He's a great anchor. He's a great reporter, but he is mising the essential reality of human-ness on this one.

The Six Day war, another birthday for the arab fantasy machine

While Israel celebrates 40 years of a reunited Jerusalem and what many still see as a miraculous victory that reversed Nasser's threat to "push the Jews into the sea", the Palestinians are celebrating 40 years of "occupation" slogans.
This rhetoric has provided them with a political victory that has significantly offset the defeat of the Arab armies on the battlefield.
And by erasing everything that came before the 1967 war, including the years of warfare, terror following the violent Arab rejection of the 1947 UN partition resolution, Israel's enemies have managed to rewrite history.
This "victory" on the battlefront of narratives and public relations that fuels the various boycott campaigns that are being conducted, particularly by British trade unions.
The obsessive anti-Israel and often anti-semitic leaders of this movement would have no doubt found other reasons to wave war against Israel, even if there were no occupation. But the distorted images of myths have also convinced uninformed journalists, academics, diplomats, etc. that Israel is to blame.
And this is where the real damage is done.

On the plus side of the ledger

Iranian nuke official said to be in safe house protected by U.S. intelligence

Iranian defense official Ali Reza Asghari, involved in Iran’s nuclear program, defected to the United States after disappearing in Turkey in December, according to an Iranian political refugee.
Amir Farshad Ebrahimi, a self-professed close friend of Asghari, told Turkey’s Hurriyet newspaper that Asghari was the deputy defense minister responsible for weapon purchases and production.
“He also continued to work outside" the ministry, Ebrahimi said. “For example, he was the head of marketing at Pars Electric, a secret state-owned company affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards. He ran all nuclear transactions on his own. For example, if radioactive material had to be purchased overseas, Asghari would sign the contract.

He also knew the locations of all nuclear facilities and reactors.”

Truth A Mighty Sword Makes

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. - John 8:31

Brilliant! A virtual online Infidel library "promoting Islam-critical books in cyberspace". A monumental task perhaps. But well worth the effort, if we are to become victorious against the spread of Islam worldwide.

The pen is mightier than the sword, as is TRUTH! Combine the two and a powerful weapon is at our disposal.

H/T Foe Hammer’s Anvil

Creating the Online Infidel Library
Wolfgang Bruno - 5/25/2007

Fatima Houda-Pepin, raised a Muslim and active in the struggle against the use of sharia in Canada, warns that the public should make an effort to get to know those in the Muslim community who are lobbying for application of Shari‘a: “One of the strengths of Islamists is that they know you very well. They know our history, they know our culture, they know our justice system.” The reason why so many Westerners reacted with defeatism and despair over the Muhammad cartoons affair is because we are mentally on the defensive. We are reacting more than acting, waiting passively for the next Islamic move. We haven’t even named the enemy yet. The attacks of 9/11, the London and Madrid bombings were reduced to the work of “evildoers who had hijacked a great religion,” not Islam itself. Muslims have been carefully studying our weak points for decades, to find ways to exploit them. Meanwhile, we have largely been ignoring them, first because we didn’t take them seriously, and later because we would not want to get involved in a global clash with the Islamic world. Get real: This is a world war, at least a cold one. War has already been declared upon us, and it is irrelevant whether Westerners and infidels like this or not. We need to recognize this and start fighting back, before we lose this fight without ever having admitted that we were in it.
Now is the perfect time to launch an ideological counter-offensive, using the Internet. Internet censorship is still less effective in most Muslim countries than in China, and there is now a critical mass of ordinary Westerners who understand that Islam constitutes a mortal threat to their freedom. Many of them could be mobilized, if somebody leads them and shows them how. The key to winning this struggle is not to engage the silent majority in the Islamic world, but to mobilize the silent majority in the West and in the infidel world, and perhaps the minority of ex-Muslims within the Islamic world.
I have advocated the idea of creating an organized network to promote Islam-critical books in cyberspace. Maybe a dozen or more blogs and websites could form the global backbone of this network, the cyberspace version of Radio Free Europe. This to make it more difficult for hackers to block the efforts, and to disseminate the books as much as possible. The websites should preferably be based in the USA, since it has the strongest protection of freedom of speech, or at least outside of the jurisdiction of the Eurabian Union. Start with those who are already in the business, for instance Jihad Watch, Faith Freedom International, Little Green Footballs, Michelle Malkin and others. These “backbone” websites should receive financial compensation for this task. Anybody, anywhere should be able to download the books or republish them at their own websites. This would bypass media censorship and create an Online Infidel Library. It would mirror the online library Google is trying to create now, but with books about Islam only. The information would spread around the planet faster than CAIR can say “Islamophobia”. The genie would be out of the bottle, and no amount of intimidation, hacker attacks or “hate speech” lawsuits could return it to the bottle.

NOTE: The following list of books is based solely on my own subjective views. The authors have not been consulted about whether they would agree to publish their books on the Internet, and it is quite possible that some of them might object to this. However, it is likely that several of them would agree to this, provided that they get adequate financial compensation for this. The number of suggested titles could easily be doubled, but any such Online Infidel Library would probably include some of the books I have listed here. I have read most of these books myself, but include some by reputation or recommendations from people I trust:
Read Wolfgang Bruno's entire article here.

Also Foehammer has compiled his own library.

I love books. It is through careful reading and a growing library in my own home that I have come to better understand the nature of Islam and the War on Terror. Below you will find many selections hand-picked by myself, as well as definitions and a few greatly expounded-upon explanations wrapped-in-opinion, all neatly categorized. I update this section regularly. I hope it proves beneficial to you.
Final thought....

Germany Is Losing Its Brains

At a faster pace than immigration? That's friggin' amazing:

Figures released by Germany’s Federal Statistics Office showed that the
number of Germans emigrating rose to 155,290 last year [...]. Leading economists
and employers say the trend is alarming. [...] OECD figures show that Germany is
near the top of a league of industrial nations experiencing a brain drain which
for the first time since the 1950s now exceeds the number of immigrants.
[...]

Yesterday, the country’s woes were underscored by a report which
disclosed that areas of unemployment-wracked eastern Germany were populated by a
“male-dominated underclass susceptible to far right ideology” because of a
dramatic 25 per cent exodus of young women aged 18 to 29.

More than 18,000 Germans moved to Switzerland last year. The US was
the second most popular destination with 13,245, followed by Austria with
9,309.

Gee, why do you think smart Germans are abandoning Germany?

The Return Of The European Walled Fortress Township?

Despite all the pessimistic prognostications which emanate from people like Mark Steyn, I have never believed Western civilization was just going to roll over and let the Muslims take over. However, it does seem obvious to me that many of our governments will never lift a finger to fight.

If they don't, then it will be up to the citizens.

Believe me, if European citizens are willing to kick each other's asses over Soccer allegiances, they will be willing to outright kill for their homes and neighborhoods.

I am afraid the future of parts of Europe is a returned to something like the old idea of the walled city. Left without any protection from the military or the police, some citizens will band together into small paramilitary forces and begin to take control of their neighborhoods by force. They will likely set up roadblocks and guard stations in order to ensure that unwanted intruders are kept out.

In fact, it looks like we're already seeing the beginning of the organization of neighborhood militias in parts of Britain. Ronbo Soldier has the story (if you follow the story back to its source, it comes from the British daily the Gazette & Herald):

The anarchy created by the current British government has led to the
creation of unarmed militia units by the British National Party (BNP) to patrol the streets of troubled cities.
These new paramilitary formations do not yet carry weapons, the British gun control laws being some of the most severe in the Western World, but if the urban anarchy and the run away crime situation continues to be ignored by British politicians then it is only question of time before these militia units find arms to impose law and order.

In time these newly created militia units may provide more than
simply law and order functions on the streets of urban Britain: This could be
the beginning of a British Revolution against an Establishment that seems hell
bent on the surrender of the country to Socialism and Islam.

This writer cannot help but think of the creation of "Minutemen"
militia in Massachusetts in period leading up to the first shots of the American Revolution being fired at Lexington.

It is a fact that the British have a history of rebellion against
ruling Establishments the British People feel have abandoned their constitution,
as the career of Oliver Cromwell and his New Model Army serve so well to
illustrate. Perhaps in the near future a new Cromwell will overthrow both
Monarchy and Parliament to create a British Republic. If so, the blueprint of
revolution has long been drafted by Britain's most famous former
colony.

Think of Paris. It is basically a circular city, which is ringed by what the French call "suburbs." The Suburbs are the French equivalent of ghettoes. It is in these ghettoes that the Muslims live. The youth (read Muslim) rioting has never stopped in Paris. It began in earnest in November of 2005, eventually fell off the radar of the media, but has continued unabated ever since.

On an average night in Paris, 100 cars are torched.

The casualty rate of the French police force is over four times the casualty rate of the American armed force in Iraq.

If this kind of rioting keeps up and the government of France refuses to do anything about it, do you think the French citizens will simply cede Paris to the barbarians. I hardly think so. I think they will, instead, build a wall around Paris, and a wall around the freeways leading in and out of Paris, and they will make sure the barbarians stay outside the gates.

This is a bleak fucking future. I would hate to see such a situation in Europe, but the only way we are going to avoid such a scenario is for our governments to take control now.

Do you think they will?

Save Darfur?

My church has become aware of the Darfur problem. We discuss the situation in church and in Bible Studies, and we take up collections to help the people of Darfur. Nice, huh?

Never is it mentioned that the Sudanese genocide has been going on for twenty-four years, not just the four years that the media has been covering it. Never is it mentioned that over 2 million black Christians and animists have been killed in Sudan. Never is it mentioned that the Arab government of Sudan is using the Arab Janjaweed militias to systematically kill and rape millions of black people. Never is it mentioned that when the Arab Muslim establisment ran out of Christians and animists to kill they set to work killing the black Sufi Muslims, and that it was only when the government began killing Muslims that the media began covering the situation in earnest.

No my Church would never mention these facts, because it would mean condemning Islam explicitly for its evil melding of religion and politics.

Jeez Pastorius, why don't you just go to a different church? Well, you know what? I've been to other churches and I don't know of any that discuss such issues openly and honestly.

Michael Ledeen has a blogpost up where he explains how easy it would, in fact, be to take care of the situation in the Sudan:

Darfur is a catastrophe that could and should be solved in an hour or
so. The killers largely operate from helicopters and small fixed wing aircraft.
We could destroy them all in an hour or so. But that would be "wrong," because
it would violate the current hymnal.

Go tell the victims. Explain why sanctions are better, because it
makes the Western politicians feel pious. Even though black Africans are being
slaughtered.

And while you're at it, tell the starving people of Zimbabwe why
their killer and oppressor, Robert Mugabe, is left untouched by the entire
outside world. Explain why St Nelson Mandela doesn't give a damn, while you're
at it.

The Middle East is tough. These African horrors are relatively easy
to fix. But nobody does a damn thing except talk about sanctions...and then
largely fail to enact and/or enforce them.
When did Western leaders become
vulgar Marxists? These evils do not have economic causes and are unlikely to be
defeated by economic means (remember the Iraqi sanctions?). They have political
causes and can be defeated by superior fire power.

Somebody? Anybody?

The Islamic Bomb - Er, I Mean Prom ...

Gee, sorry about that little slip of the tongue, but one has to wonder how long before the Islamic bomb goes off in the United States, when Muslim culture is so accepted that this is the scene in the good old American Midwest:

More than 100 Muslim teen girls let their hair down Saturday night. Both
literally and figuratively. Muslim girls who wear the headscarf in public slid
them off as they walked into the first Minnesota Muslim prom exclusively for
girls and women. With no men there, they didn't have to cover up and were free
to let loose and dance.[...]

The event was called PROM, an acronym which stands for Party foR Only Muslimahs (Pastorius note: very clever acronym - Sheesh), or Muslim girls, and was held in accordance with Islamic culture and values.

Many Muslim girls don't go to their high school prom for cultural reasons: They aren't allowed to dance with the opposite sex, and prom dresses can be too revealing for some Muslim girls to wear in public.

As an alternative, the event, held at the University of Minnesota's Coffman Memorial Union, allowed participants to dance, wear what they wanted and not feel like they missed out on a staple of the high school experience.

In most Muslim societies in this world, the Muslimah is not allowed to choose whether or not to get an education, or whom to marry. When are married off, they are considered the property (the word used in the Koran is chattel) of their husband.

If we don't put a stop to this kind of behavior in our Muslim communities here in the United States, then we will end up with female slavery in our midst. Of course, most people will ignore it out of political correctness, as they do in Britain.

(Actually, in Britain, they not only ignore it, they actually fund it in the form of polygamy. Polygamists are allowed to collect welfare checks for each of their wives.)

American Muslim culture is grooming those young girls to be slaves. And, we allow this?!?

Is CAIR Finally In Legal Trouble?

From this source, on June 4, 2007:

Federal prosecutors have named three prominent Islamic organizations in America as participants in an alleged criminal conspiracy to support a Palestinian Arab terrorist group, Hamas.

Prosecutors applied the label of "unindicted co-conspirator" to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, and the North American Islamic Trust in connection with a trial planned in Texas next month for five officials of a defunct charity, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.

While the foundation was charged in the case, which was filed in 2004, none of the other groups was. However, the co-conspirator designation could be a blow to the credibility of the national Islamic organizations, which often work hand-in-hand with government officials engaged in outreach to the Muslim community.

A court filing by the government last week listed the three prominent groups among about 300 individuals or entities named as co-conspirators. The document gave scant details, but prosecutors described CAIR as a present or past member of "the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee and/or its organizations." The government listed the Islamic Society of North America and the North American Islamic Trust as "entities who are and/or were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood."

[...]

Spokesmen for CAIR did not respond to messages seeking comment yesterday. Efforts to contact the North American Islamic Trust were unsuccessful.

The identification of the alleged co-conspirators could aid prosecutors when the Holy Land Foundation and five of its officials, Shukri Abu-Baker, Mohammad El-Mezain, Ghassan Elashi, Mufid Abdulqader, and Abdulraham Odeh, go to trial on July 16 in Dallas. Statements by and about co-conspirators are exempt from rules barring hearsay.

[...]

CAIR, in particular, has faced persistent claims that it is soft on terrorism. Critics note that several former CAIR officials have been convicted or deported after being charged with fraud, embargo violations, or aiding terrorist training. Spokesmen for the group have also raised eyebrows for offering generic denunciations of terrorism but refusing to condemn by name specific Islamic terrorist groups such as Hamas or Hezbollah.

In addition, one of the Holy Land Foundation defendants, Ghassan Elashi, founded CAIR's Texas chapter. CAIR's Washington office was also set up in 1994 with $5,000 in seed money from the foundation, according to congressional testimony by a researcher into Islamic extremism, Steven Emerson.

Last year, Senator Boxer of California, a Democrat, withdrew an award she gave to an official at a local CAIR chapter. She said she had concerns about statements by some CAIR officials and about claims of financial links to terrorism....

Uh,...'what does god need a starship for?'

The Gulf between western liberal democratic ideas and that espoused by the ascendant forms of Islam, is unbridgeable. Except perhaps by force of arms, on their terms. These groups never miss and opportunity to miss an opportunity to demonstrate it is a religion of peace. The reasons for this are all to obvious.

Islamic Groups Named in Hamas Funding Case

The secretary-general of the Islamic Society of North America, Muneer Fareed, said his group was surprised to be named in the Texas case. "I can tell you categorically that the current administration of ISNA, as well as its stakeholders, they have no connection to my knowledge with any Holy Land foundations," he said.

Mr. Fareed denied his group has any ties to Hamas, though he said it is difficult to police all 300 mosques under his umbrella. "We might have a kid whose dad was president of Hamas for all I know," he said. "How do you verify these things?"

Reagan Airport - Washington D.C.

Are we feeling secure yet?

AjukDD comments over at UP Pompeii:

I had a trip to the UK this weekend, and when I arrived in the UK my passport was checked by a woman in a hijab.

Then when I left the UK I was caught by the new only one bag rule, so that you can not even take a bag with magazines like I had, so it made doing the other chores like geting phone in one place, removing belts and watch and money a real ordeal.

When taking out my toothpaste and other toiletries, I put my stuff down next to a Muslim security helper and a non-Muslim female of the indigenous type, she was making small talk to this chap.

Something along the lines of where did you come from and how long have you been in the UK, answer Pakistan and 1.5 years, she replied your English is very good for that time and your accent is very English. No way was he a recent arrival! But I was like what the hell, he gets a job in Heathrow security albeit at a low level of handing out plastic bags for toiletries after one and a half years of being in the UK. Promotion does happen you know.

So whern I got to the scanning area, I did a quick count or the possible religious identity of the security staff, in my opinion 70% were likely to be Muslims.

Next bit was a check of the staff doing the scanning of luggage, about 40% were likely to be Muslims. At which point I started to find the whole thing a huge and pathetic joke.

Feel safe travelling on a plane, no way!!!!

The Day We Drag The Bodies Through The Streets

Is this Iraq's destiny?

PERHAPS no fact is more revealing about Iraq’s history than this: The Iraqis have a word that means to utterly defeat and humiliate someone by dragging his corpse through the streets.

The word is “sahel,” and it helps explain much of what I have seen in three and a half years of covering the war.

Caught in the middle of the civil war are the Americans. To Iraq’s factions, they are the weakest of all the armed groups in one crucial respect: their will is ebbing and their time here is limited. That leaves Iraqis more motivated than ever to cling to their weapons, preparing for what many see as an inevitable plunge into the abyss.

The belief of the Shiites that they must consolidate power through force of arms is tethered to ever-present suspicions of an impending betrayal by the Americans. Though the Americans have helped institute the representative system of government that the Shiites now dominate, they have failed to eliminate memories of how the first President Bush allowed Saddam Hussein to slaughter rebelling Shiites in 1991. Shiite leaders are all too aware, as well, of America’s hostility toward Iran, the seat of Shiite power, and of its close alliances with Sunni Arab nations, especially Saudi Arabia.

“Everyone — the Sunni, the Shia — is playing the waiting game,” an Iraqi leader told me over dinner at his home in the Green Zone. “They’re waiting out the Americans. Everyone is using time against you.”

Much seemed different in April 2003, when the Americans pulled down the statue of Saddam Hussein in Firdos Square and allowed Iraqis to drag it through the streets. It looked like an act of sahel at the time, but the Americans failed to establish total control, as Iraqi history says a conqueror must.

Looking back on all I have seen of this war, it now seems that the Iraqis have been driving all along for the decisive victory, the act of sahel, the day the bodies will be dragged through the streets.”

Islamic groups in US named in Hamas funding case

An important development in the investigation of Hamas funders has come to light. And yep, you guessed it, CAIR is among those cited in the report:

[...]

The inclusion of the Islamic groups on the list of alleged conspirators could give ammunition to critics of the organizations.
Since CAIR is probably the worst of these groups, that's why it's a good thing that they've been fingered as one of the Hamas' collaborators. It's time to shut them down and to prosecute them, and it's to be hoped that this'll lead to a major trial in which they're told to stand before the court.

An Open Letter to an Anti-Semite

Charlotte Kates is the pro-terrorist law student at Rutgers Univ. who organized the pro-Palestinian conference and defends suicide bombers.

The following letter was written to the President of Rutgers State University by an Israeli citizen after reading Kates' published comments on the Israeli/Palestinian situation.

Dear Ms. Kates,

I think you are a remarkable woman. You are neither an Arab nor a Jew, you do not study the Middle East, or any associated subject, and correct me if I am wrong, but you have never visited this region. Therefore, I am somewhat astounded at your expertise and to your comments on Israel being an "Apartheid" state.

I have lived in Israel for many years, and I would be delighted to take you on a little virtual tour of our country. Let me first give you a couple of minor points. Israel occupies 0.1% of the landmass of the Middle East and it is the only Jewish state, not only in this region, but in the world, and surrounded by 22 Arab states

Let us begin your virtual tour!

Don't Do It, Europe!

Maybe if I pretend I'm dead, the Muslims will leave me alone.
The Council of Europe has decided that European citizens must adapt their lives to the various cultures of immigrants, not the other way around. From Up Pompeii:

Article 5
The Parties undertake to promote the conditions necessary for persons belonging to national minorities to maintain and develop their
culture, and to preserve the essential elements of their identity, namely their
religion, language, traditions and cultural heritage.

2. Without prejudice to measures taken in pursuance of their general
integration policy, the Parties shall refrain from policies or
practices aimed at assimilation of persons belonging to national minorities
against their will and shall protect these persons from any action aimed at such
assimilation.

Article 6
The Parties shall encourage a spirit of tolerance and
inter cultural dialogue and take effective measures to promote mutual respect
and understanding and co-operation among all persons living on their territory,
irrespective of those persons' ethnic, cultural, linguistic or religious
identity, in particular in the fields of education, culture and the
media.

2. The Parties undertake to take appropriate measures to protect
persons who may be subject to threats or acts of discrimination, hostility
or violence as a result of their ethnic, cultural, linguistic or religious
identity.

Europe is just handing the keys to Western Civilization right over to Muslims. And, what's amazing (this series of multicultural articles was signed in 1995) is they started doing it before the Muslims even asked them to.

Infidel Babe Of The Week

It would probably be hard for the Islamofascists to believe, considering they clothe their babes in the death shroud of the burqa, but here in the West our babes like to lay on tile floors while wearing skimpy bikinis.

They'll just never understand.

Anyway, this chick's name is Maria Gracia Cucinotta. That is the perfect name for her, isn't it?

Stand With Israel Rally: June 10

From this source:
Come to Washington DC on June 10, and join us in a rally to support Israel's right to peace, security and defensible borders!

Israel's opponents are on the move: On June 10, 2007, to mark the 40th anniversary of Israel's 1967 war of survival, the extremist groups "United for Peace and Justice" and "Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation" will hold what even the liberal magazine Tikkun called a rally for the "dissolution of the State of Israel." The "United for Peace and Justice" coalition includes such radical organizations as the Socialist Party USA, the Young Communists League, Communist Party USA, and the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

Israel's supporters depend on you: We will gather on the North side of Constitution Avenue, just west of the Capitol Reflecting Pool. We are organizing this literally one week before the event, with almost no resources or time. This Counter-Rally truly is the product of a few citizens who are deeply outraged that Israel's opponents might have demonstrated in our nation's capitol without any patriotic opposing voices who will tell truth to counter these lies.
We must stand up to lies and distortions.

We will not have a microphone or a speakers' platform, but we CAN show our support with our signs, flags, patriotic songs and our own strong voices as individual citizens exercising our right to assemble. We are bringing signs and flags for you to hold, sponsored by Stand with Us. Feel free to make your own sign, but please use the messages listed below.

Date: Sunday, June 10

Place: Begin assembling on the North side of Constitution Avenue, apart from the opponents' demonstration, at 1:00 PM. Our exact location may change. Please check here before the rally, and look for our American and Israeli flags on June 10.

Time:
The Counter-Rally: The Stand with Israel Counter-Rally begins at 2:00 PM and lasts until 4:00 PM
The March: The March from the Capitol to the Ellipse begins at 4:00 PM. We plan to march with our signs and flags parallel to, but apart from, the main demonstration.

What to bring: Bring food, water, a hat, and sunscreen

Transportation: Don't drive--there is limited public parking on Capitol Hill. Take the metro to either Union Station on the red line or
Capitol South on the orange/blue lines.

And if all that is not enough ....Iran can save 75% of the effort to refine U-235 because...

Nuclear fuel from Bushehr reactor could rapidly produce weapons-grade uranium

LONDON — The operation of Iran's first nuclear reactor could rapidly advance the Islamic regime's campaign for nuclear weapons.
Western analysts said the Bushehr nuclear reactor could produce nuclear fuel that could be quickly transformed into weapons-grade uranium. They said the 1,000-megawatt reactor could enrich uranium to a point where the weapons processing would be accessible.
Nuclear fuel requires an enrichment of 3.5 percent while weapons-grade Uranium 235 requires an enrichment of 90 percent. "If they do deliver this fuel — 3.5-percent-enriched uranium 235 — for a nuclear weapon, you need 90-percent-enriched uranium," said British nuclear consultant Frank Barnaby said.

"If you've got 3.5-percent-enriched uranium, that's a long way towards the 90 percent. "About 75 percent of the energy required to go to 90 percent is used to go to 3.5 percent," Barnaby added. "To go from 3.5 percent to 90 percent is a relatively small step."

The United States has concluded that the delivery of Russian nuclear fuel could advance Iran's uranium enrichment program. Iran has told the International Atomic Energy Agency that it has achieved an enrichment level of 4.8 percent.
"Probably, countries are wondering whether if the Russians deliver this 3.5-percent-enriched fuel, Iranians would be able to take it and just complete the enrichment to 90 percent," said Barnaby, a consultant for the Oxford Research Group. "That is a possibility. It's a very long shot."
Frankly I have concluded that the Russian see Iranian nuclear weapons as being advantageous to them. No doubt the physical buffer of the 5 new stans make them inured to the inevitable fallout. Who knows, perhaps they view the dead there as an advantage as well? After all, the stans are populated by muslims the Russians suppressed for centruies..

Belarus hails 'strategic' ties with Iran

MOSCOW — Belarus plans to develop Iran's Jofeir oil field near the border with Iraq.

The former Soviet republic issued the announcement on May 21 during the visit by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Ahmadinejad met his Belarus counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko.

Officials said the field could produce as many as 30,000 barrels of oil per day.

Lukashenko said Minsk's relations with Iran have reached the "strategic level."

Belarus has supplied missile and other military technology to Teheran.

Brits warned Iran forming European network for strategic attacks

Why worry about BM-25's and Shahab's when the IRGC and Hizballah can just fly into Heathrow and CDG?

LONDON — Iran is establishing a sleeper network to attack strategic facilities throughout Europe. The British Parliament was told that Teheran has been preparing to strike critical sites should the United States attack Iran's nuclear plants.
A leading analyst said Iran has drawn up European targets, including nuclear power stations. "We have serious signals that something is under preparation in Europe," said Claude Moniquet, president of the European Strategic Intelligence and Security Center.
"Iranian intelligence is working extremely hard to prepare its people and to prepare actions." In a briefing to Parliament on May 22, Moniquet said his private Brussels-based institute has acquired information that Iran was forming a sleeper network across Europe.
Teheran is also deploying intelligence agents to help designate targets.
Moniquet said Iranian sleepers could be ordered to attack people on the streets of London.
He said the methods used would be similar to attacks on British soldiers in southern Iraq. Parliamentarians at the meeting said some of Moniquet's assertions were echoed in previous briefings by British intelligence. They did not elaborate.
"We are already involved in military operations with Iran," parliamentarian Patrick Mercer said.
