To the right is Hungarian AF insignia, gee that looks just like ours huh? This is a joke, now ....Iranian Foreign Ministry now saying it WAS a Hungarian plane, devoted to UN AID !! And it happened on Sept 30th. Otherwise no problem

One line report ....stay tuned for this one
Iranian news agency reports ...Reuters picks up
Is it an F-18? Reaper or other UAV (how could they force down a UAV)?
Imagination?
Election changer?

UPDATE FROM IRAN COMING
US REPORTS ALL PLANES ACCOUNTED FOR 9:22 AM EASTERN

THANKS TO ANON:
US plane 'forced to land in Iran'

A US plane has been forced to land in Iran after violating Iranian territory, the Iranian semi-official Fars news agency has reported.

It said the Falcon aircraft entered Iranian airspace from Turkey, flying at low altitude to avoid radar.

The agency said the plane was detected by Iranian fighter jets, which forced it to land at an undisclosed airport.

Passengers included five senior American generals and three civilians, the report said.

The agency said the group was interrogated at the airport and then allowed to leave after it was realised they had entered unintentionally.

More details to follow.

Sounds like claims of an indigenously designed and built jet fighter..we'll see

PENTAGON 9:40 AM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon denied on Tuesday an Iranian news report that a U.S. military aircraft had violated Iranian territory and had been forced to land in Iran, saying all American planes were accounted for.

"All aircraft in the region are accounted for and we have no reports of any aircraft landing in Iran," Lt. Col. Patrick Ryder told reporters.

"I haven't heard anything like that," said Pentagon Bryan Whitman.

The Iran news agency reported earlier that a U.S. warplane had violated Iranian territory and had been forced to land in Iran.

That sort of thing is happening a lot today, isn't it? Maybe Corsi can catch a ride home with these guys.

Five senior American generals? On one plane? Over Iranian air space? Under the radar? Accidentally? WTF...

As a former Air Force officer, I was able to look at the report on the Iranian News Agency (FARS) web site and reach the conclusion that the Iranians are trying to perpetrate a hoax. I outline it all in a post this morning.

BBC changes it's tune and extends it's wordsmith to several brief paragraphs. . .

Iran 'forces down foreign plane'

A foreign aircraft has been forced to land in Iran after violating Iranian airspace, Iranian news agencies say.

The semi-official Fars said the plane was a US Falcon carrying military officials, while state TV said it was European with no Americans on board.

The Pentagon denied any of its planes had been involved in such an incident and that none had landed in Iran.

Iranian TV said those on board were freed a day later and the aircraft allowed to continue its journey.

The reports did not say when the incident took place.

The Fars report said the aircraft, en route to Afghanistan, entered Iranian airspace from Turkey, flying at low altitude to avoid radar.

It said the plane was intercepted by Iranian fighter jets and forced to land at an unspecified airport.

The reports said its occupants were released after it became clear they had entered the country unintentionally.

I think as of right now I am inclined to agree that this is a not just a hoax, it's a farce.

Why bother with this, becomes the quesiton?

And now FOX is reporting the Iranians claim whoops, we made a mistake, it wasn't American it was Hungarian.

Why bother with this indeed. Do they just have too much time on their hands over there or what?

Just listening to Doug Hagman from Northeast Intelligence Network on the Chris Baker show out of Minneapolis and they were discussing something about US troops who were set to deploy to Iraq being kept here in case they are needed to cope with "civil unrest". Various scenarios discussed. Anyone got anything substantial on this?

That radio station linked by RRA just reported the plane in the Iranian report was brought down "last month" with no passengers on board.

WTH?

And Corsi's friend Farah just told FOX that Corsi hasn't been deported but is hoping to make his regular flight out of Kenya if the Kenyan officials can find some of his documentation they "lost".

It's just bein' a WTH kind of day.

Anybody here know for sure if Iran currently has missle capacity to hit anything outside of Iran? It's being debated on another blog and there seems to be no consensus on what and how far.

In terms of a physical attack on top of the psychological and financial warfare going on, it's problematic whether they could get past the security in the Wall Street area with anything like a truck bomb or "suitcase bomb" if they even exist.

On the other hand, downtown Manhattan at 8:45 on a weekday morning is an awesome spectacle of humanity in motion, arriving from all directions on all sorts of conveyances: subway lines, buses, ferries, cars, and rivers of foot traffic on the streets. One way we got lucky on 9/11 is that they hit the area up high and gave people a chance to escape. Something comparable at ground level could wipe out tens of thousands, including the financial nerve center of the world. Go for Wall St. first, then start in with the suicide bombers at the shopping malls.

But they'd have to get very lucky this time. Not to say that it's impossible, but having seen the level of police presence for one of Ahmadhimmijerker's visits it will not be easy.

But it sure as hell would be effective.

Don't suppose it's worth hoping for anything from this debate tonight...
