Watch American Carol This Weekend

It starts playing in theaters this Friday, October 3rd. I think it's going to be a hit and it'll make it easier to talk about Islam's relentless encroachment to our friends, because movies are good for that.

The movie is comedy about a filmmaker who looks a lot like Michael Moore, He's visited by three ghosts who show him the true meaning of America. That's a photo of two of the ghosts.

Check out the official website for the movie.

This looks hysterical. Also think of the opportunities for bonding out by the popcorn machine. Worth a try. Haven't been able to find any sane people in Massachusetts any other way.

I've been enjoying the commercials this week. The movie looks pretty funny.

Since 9/11, there have been a few movies that have gotten the Conservative point-of-view out;

Team America (which really spoofed both the Liberal and Conservative viewpoint)

Batman Begins

300

United 93

The Dark Knight

But this movie is the first overtly conservative and pro-America movie to come our in awhile.

May it thump the competition with huge returns!

Yes! Let's HELP it thump the competition. Invite your friends to join you this weekend to start the movie off with a bang. Really high numbers the first weekend encourages others to see it who might not have otherwise.

Taking the time to go see this film is an enjoyable way to help the cause.

Citizen Warrior,

I have been wanting to see this movie for a long time.
I'm the one who first told you guys about it. I alerted you guys in the comment section of another post, and than Pastorius wrote about it.

I really hope the David Zucker doesn't cave to the Islam-o-Fascists.
It will be a big disappointment if he does.

Damien,

I knew someone else mentioned that movie, but I couldn't find the post. It took me awhile to find the Pastorius post on it.

What do you mean you hope Zucker doesn't cave in to the Islamo-Fascists?

Citizen Warrior,

If you look at Pastorius' post agian, you'll notice that he thank me for showing it to him.

I can tell by some of the trailers that I saw, that there are some scenes in this film that might offend Muslims, especially Jihadists. I haven't seen the film yet, but watch the trailers again and Look at how they are treating the terrorist. Also I read in a preview somewhere that there is a scene where terrorists are sneaking into the country and the border guards are not allowed to search them. Right after they cross the border one of the Jihadists says, "Thank Allah for ACLU."

I'll try to find the preview if you're interested.

Citizen Warrior,

I want to see too, but I don't know if I will be able to see it this today. Maybe I'll go see it soon. After you see, you can let us know what you think of it, if want.

I just saw an article in FrontPage magazine about the movie. It said, in part:

Producer David Zucker did the audience a favor by not making a conservative film with jokes but a comedy that happens to be conservative. Suicide bombers as a whole are made the object of scorn. One of the terror leaders remarks, “It is getting harder and harder to find suicide bombers, and all the really good ones are gone.” Muslim sexual morĂ©s also take a grazing hit. The al-Qaeda recruiting video, done in the style of 1950s and ‘60s educational film strips, is not to be missed. By far the funniest moment is the screening of Rosie O’Connell’s documentary about radical Christians, which makes reference to an Episcopalian suicide bomber.

As in his other films, the jokes come fast and furious and rarely miss their mark. The musical number taking on radical professors is “funny because it’s true.” Zucker is not afraid to break the fourth wall with appropriate moderation. In its one scene depicting the Munich agreement, An American Carol more effectively mocks Hitler than The Producers after two hours’ buildup. And the closing sequence at the naval docks is the equal of The Naked Gun.
