Party leader for the Swedish Social Democrats is marching with hizbollah flags

It´s pure madness these days, who could have imagined this 15 years ago?
Sweden has developed into a quasi fascist state busy committing suicide.

From Ted Ekeroth and Gudmundson

Mona Sahlin, leader of the Social Democratic Party in Sweden, participated today in a rally where Hizbollah flags waved in the air and an Israeli flag was set to flames. Other participants in the demonstration were Jan Eliasson, former social democratic Minister of Foreign Affairs and former President of the United Nations General Assembly, and Wanja Lundby Wedin, chair of the Swedish Trade Union Confederation.

The rally was organised by the Network Gaza Solidarity, in which members of the extreme left work together with immigrant organisations. The demo started at Sergels Torg, in downtown Stockholm, and then paraded to the Israeli embassy where the flagburning took place.

Svenska Dagbladet captured the Hizbollah presence:

In the news article in the paper, though, nohing is mentioned about the Social democrats rallying together with Hizbollah-sympathizers.

Dagens Nyheter
documented the flag burning:

Dagens Nyheter quotes Mona Sahlin, who "feels great anger". "What happens in Gaza is terrible. We must protest with full force."

No comments seem to have been given about the Hizbollah banner or flag burning.

In Norrköping it is said that another representative, Lars Stjernkvist, who is a former party secretary for the Social democrats, also demonstrated under the Hizbollah flag.

The Social democrats is the largest political party in Sweden. Since the loss of power in the elections in 2006 the party chose Mona Sahlin as their new leader. The former party leader Göran Persson took heavy criticism for leaning more towards Israel while prime minister. His successor Mona Sahlin, on the other hand, has created a coalition with the radical Left Party and the Green Party, which both heavily slams Israel.

Update:

Erik Svansbo
, blogger in Norrköping, has pictures from the demo there, where former Social democratic party secretary Lars Stjernkvist participated under the Hizbollah banner.

Svansbo writes: "I confronted Stjernkvist with the fact that he was in a rally with Hizbollah. There was nothing strange with that, he said."

Svansbo also noted a sign with swastikas at the demo.

Update 2:

Sydsvenska Dagbladet has pictures from the rally in Malmö where another party heavyweighter, MP Luciano Astudillo (who also is considered to be one of the Social democrat's up and coming, high in rank within party leader Mona Sahlin's gang), gave a speech. Next to him stands a guy with a picture of the leader of Hizbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, on his sweater...

Sydsvenska Dagbladet
also describes the demo in Göteborg, under the headline "Protesters burned Israeli flags": "In connection with the rally on Gustaf Adolf Square white cloth with Israeli symbols were burned, and young men dressed in black kicked around with the soot remains."

Update 3:

This private photo shows that at least one portrait of Hassan Nasrallah, the Hizbollah leader, was carried in the Stockholm demonstration, right beneath the speaker's corner at Sergels Torg.

Update 4:

The Facebook group for Network Gaza Solidarity features films from the demonstration in Stockholm. In one movie a Hamas flag waves just in front of the speaker Dror Feiler.

In Dagens Nyheter Feiler is quoted saying "We are happy that the Social democrats are with us today in this demonstration. I hope they do not forget this when they are in the government the next time."

Update 5:

You could see swastikas in the Stockholm protest, too, says blogger Björnbrum.

Update 6:

The Malmö rally, where the Social democrat MP Luciano Astudillo gave a speech, saw at least three large Hizbollah flags, according to a video in the Facebook group for the Network Gaza Solidarity.

(Usually I blog in Swedish, but this story is part of a global context of antisemitism, islamism and leftism that needs to be commented in a language that the world can read.) av gudmundson kl 15:47

Good post. Also worth noting that on the double swastika (hakenkreuz) picture, the inner parts of the symbol also have stars of david drawn on them.

Rolf,
Does any of this surprise you? Are you shocked, or did you see this coming?

Pastorius,

Nazism is Socialism, the degenerated Marxist ideologies.

I don´t know any longer what is surprising, it is horrifying, and the left is getting more confident now, coming out of the closets for what they really are.

I was at the demonstration Saturday in Copenhagen and I could never imagine ten years ago that it could be possible what happened with the counter demo, heiling and shouting Jews should be exterminated, the video now, today, will be presented in the Danish parliament by DPP MP Søren Espersen, who spoke at the demonstration, the Socialist party has demanded ´answers´ from the gov to what they are doing for peace in Gaza, they will have to answer for themselves and how they can allow this to happen in the streets of copenhagen.

The Danish people are outraged, the two Israelis who were shot in Odense by a palestinian has woken up the average Danish ´Smith`, Red Cross is being blasted, getting almost no donations, each place in the medias and the blogosphere with free debate Danes are Pro-Israel, ordinary people that is. The medias are getting flack, newspaper sales are plummeting.

Except for the fringe leftist redfascists the Danes are proud of our country and history.

Sweden is fucked, and we joke about closing down the bridge, with icy sarcasm.

Sweden was never ´vaccinated´ against the Nazis as were the Danes, it explains to a large degree that they do not recognize it.

I dread for the future, it was the first time in my life i had taken precautions and had armed myself, and in my own country, it was eerie.

There is much going on and things I could never reveal online, I am positive of my country and my people, we would rather die than be slaves, we are vikings and wont go down without a fight.

Rolf,
In America, the numbers break down exactly as it says in the sidebar here at IBA:

Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans back Israel's decision to take military action against the Palestinians, but only half as many Democrats (31%) agree. --- Rasmussen

That's about how sane or insane we can expect our country to be.

Considering the Democrats are now in complete control, I think you can expect the pendulum to swing towards insanity in the United States. Which, I would imagine, will only make things worse in Europe.

:)

I promise you we will fight for freedom.

And our numbers are even higher in favor of Israel - 65% in a poll, the real number I believe is even higher.

Pastorius said...

The next couple of months will reveal whether America is going to descend into chaos, or continue to thrive. If Obama turns on Israel, then the Jew-hatred will rot our collective brain and soul.

As you can see from the numbers we are right on the cusp.

Hej pa dig rolf

I am sorry but I cannot share your optimism.

I used to contribute to FOMI Nu,
(Forum Mot Islamisering), I even had moderator rights, until I was Banned because of my hard line stand against Islam.

I now see that FOMI Nu is shut down, have you any info as to why?

Any way I am not att all surprised to the development in Sweden just now.

Why I say this is after more than two years being at FOMI Nu I witnessed how all the hardliners there where gotten rid off.

I am sorry to hear that FOMI has been closed, but not surprised, the Swedes are too political correct and indoctrinated, 70 years of social democratic 'thinking' has left their brains numb with inherent inaptitude for even their own survival.

In Denmark the picture is different altogether, we do not yet have a 'thought police', freedom of expression is still free and I have never yet heard of any Danish blogs which has been shot down, it would create an uproar, it is unthinkable in writing moment, and our blogs serves the Swedes, Snaphanen is the blog with the largest number of Swedish readers.
