Glad to do so. I disagree with Bush on many things and his stand against Islam has fallen far short of the needed mark. But he has at least helped to spare us another 9/11 on his watch, and for that we owe him thanks. It came very close to having happened on Al Gore's watch, and difficult as it is to imagine things being worse, I think the Goracle might have managed it.

As you probably know I don't/didn't support the Right wing either [due to trade with Islamic nations, etc],

also cutting funds that would do more actually to save children/even prevent economic incentives for abortion, on those issues I have been very vocal in disagreement,

However, That being said [in case any aren't aware, I don't vote democrat either, not in favor of either],

Bush, I will say, not only made a bold and courageous statement in regards to the evil of Islamism in his departure speech of which I will always respect him for,

he, DID, do a LOT, for women's rights overseas, and I'd like to take a moment here and mention it,

because its not something that even the Right wing speaks on much.

Bush, did in fact, start a major wide campaign to address and confront the abuses towards women in Afghanistan, not only that,

but Bush did more than Clinton and others, including other Republicans, to stop the Trafficking of Persons, Women and Children in particular.

In fact, during all the whoopla over Obama, Bush was Still working with all he could to do as much as possible, through the State Department and through the work of Rice, to pass legislation that would make it possible for Women, to sue traffickers/those who have trafficked or prostituted them/raped them, and so forth, years later,

of course many in the Senate/House did all they could to see that those bills did not pass,

but Bush tried. Non-stop too, especially in addressing/confronting the trafficking and SLAVERY going on in Sudan,

while I do believe Bush made an awful choice in trade agreements with Oman, as a woman's rights advocate,

hats off to you President Bush, for all you did/or tried to do on behalf of so many women in a world where even the majority of feminists,

are silent. And not near enough, has been said about it.

Read more, about all that Bush and his administration have done to End Violence Against women on this link,

she's kept track of every single piece of legislation, not all she agrees with, but most of it that she does, and she, like me, is an independent leftist who Hasn't sold out on Women's or Human Rights or Animal Rights.

http://www.greenconsciousness.org/weblog/

She has numerous legislative archives on all that Bush did for women, incuding, working on legislation that prosecutes pornographers who work too in the Trafficking of women/children.

Thought it should be said,
