Two Explosions in Stockholm: 1 Killed, 2 injured

UPDATE - A car exploded at the busy shopping street Drottninggatan in central Stockholm. Then there was another explosion some distance away and one man died. According to news agency TT, a man had blown himself to death. He carried six interconnected pipe bombs but only one exploded. He also had a backpack full of nails, according to newspaper Aftonbladet.
Shouted in Arabic
Police bomb technicians examined the dead man's bag by using a bomb robot. Radiographs show that it contained a large quantity of nails and an unknown substance which is suspected to be explosives.
At least four ambulances were sent to the scene. Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries, they had been in the vicinity of the explosions.
According to witnesses, the man shouted something in Arabic before the bomb detonated.
The Swedish news agency TT reports that both them and the Swedish Security Service received a video-film only ten minutes before the explosions.
In the film a man addresses to "Sweden and the Swedish people". He, among else, refers to the Swedish silence on artist Lars Vilks paintings of the muslim prophet Mohammed, the Swedish soldiers in Afghanistan, saying that "now shall your children, daughters and sisters die as our brothers and sisters and children are dying."
So, they are angry at Lars Vilk?

Well, fuck them.

Here's my response, my very own Mohammed cartoon:

(YNet News) — Two explosions in central Stockholm killed one person and injured two on Saturday, causing panic among Christmas shoppers.
Police spokeswoman Petra Sjolander said a car exploded near Drottninggatan, a busy shopping street in the center of the city. Shortly afterward, a second explosion was heard higher
up on the same street
, and a man was found injured on the ground. He was later pronounced dead.
Two other people were taken to the hospital with lighter injuries, but it was not immediately clear in which explosion they were hurt.
Rescue services spokesman Roger Sverndal said the car that exploded contained gas canisters.
Sjolander said it was unclear what caused the second explosion and if the two blasts were linked, but said a police bomb squad has been sent to the site.
Gabriel Gabiro, a former AP staffer, heard the explosion from inside a watch store across the street and saw smoke coming from the area where the man was lying. “There was a man lying on the ground with blood coming out in the area of his belly, and with his personal belongings scattered around him,” he said.   Gabiro said the blast was “quite loud” and he saw people running from the site. “It shook the store that I was in,” he said of the blast. “Then there was smoke and gun powder coming into the store. I saw some people crying, perhaps from the shock.”
Sweden – which has so far been spared of any large terrorist attacks – raised its terror threat alert level from low to elevated in October because of “a shift in activities” among Swedish-based groups that could be plotting attacks there.
The security police then said the terrorism threat in Sweden, a Scandinavian country, remained low compared to that in other European countries, and no attack was imminent.

Weasel Zippers has a transcript of the statement the Jihadist sent out before he blew himself up.

Secret U.S. cable detailed integrated missile defense plans for Gulf
LONDON -- A U.S. plan, disclosed by WikiLeaks on Nov. 28, called for a regional integrated air and missile defense network for the six Persian Gulf Arab states. The plan was outlined in a secret cable sent from the U.S. embassy in Bahrain in 2009.
"First, this involved integrating the U.S.'s own air and missile defense assets -- Navy Aegis, Army Patriots, etc.," the cable said. "Then we would offer to link each Gulf state into a Shared Early Warning Common Operating Picture, to the extent that each government was willing to participate. The U.S. would share the same picture with all, and each could add as much information as it liked, while keeping data it did not wish to share behind a secure firewall."
The State Department memorandum reported on a meeting between the Air Force chief of U.S. Central Command and Gulf Cooperation Council military representatives. In the meeting, Centcom air chief Lt. Gen. Mike Hostage urged GCC leaders to agree to a comprehensive BMD network, known as RIAMD, that would protect against Iranian attacks.
"Lt. Gen. Hostage explained that, because of the threat posed by Iran to the region, his primary goal was to work on establishing RIAMD between the U.S. and the GCC states," the cable said.
Officials have confirmed the U.S. plan. They said, however, the missile defense network has been hampered by infighting among GCC states and Saudi Arabia's refusal to cooperate in U.S.-sponsored regional efforts.
So far, the U.S. military has been deploying both the PAC-3 as well as the Theater High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, systems in the Gulf. Both have been produced by the U.S. firm Lockheed Martin and were designed for low-tier and high-tier interception.

thaad descript.jpg

Hostage was quoted as saying that the United States has not determined a location for THAAD. But he said the system was scheduled for deployment in 2010 in a GCC state.
"Gen. Hostage replied that the location was not yet certain, but yes, THAAD would be deployed within a year, and would prove to be a very capable mid-course intercept system," the cable said.

And WHILE the Turks help smuggle nuke parts to Iran: Iran seen developing air defenses that could block all but B-2 strikes

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. military could be blocked from launching a major air strike by Iran's developing air defense network, a report said.

The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments asserted that Iran has been investing in air defense systems that could foil a U.S. strike. The Washington-based center warned that only a handful of U.S. bombers could penetrate the integrated air defense systems of either Iran or China.

"Except for the B-2 force, of which at most 16 are capable of responding to short-notice contingency operations at any given time, [U.S.] Air Force bombers cannot penetrate the integrated air defense systems that are being fielded by China, Iran and other states with the resources to buy advanced military systems," the report, titled "Sustaining America s Strategic Advantage in Long-Range Strike," said.

Authored by former senior air force analyst Mark Gunzinger, the report envisioned that Iran would develop or acquire advanced anti-aircraft systems, including the Russian-origin S-300. The report said Russia has apparently canceled plans to proceed with a nearly $1 billion project to sell the S-300PMU1 to Teheran.

"This cancellation will not likely curb Iran s appetite for procuring advanced air defense systems," the report, released on Sept. 14, said. "Despite their setback with Iran, given the demand for these systems and Russia s stated goal of increasing its weapons exports, further proliferation is a near-certainty."

The report envisioned U.S. long-range strike aircraft would have to travel 2,700 nautical miles from Diego Garcia to reach Iran's nuclear energy reactor at Natanz. Such a distance would be much greater than in recent U.S. conflicts, including the wars against Iraq.

Gunzinger outlined a scenario in which Iran would deploy its giant missile and rocket arsenal to intimidate Gulf Cooperation Council states. He said the threat of a massive Iranian attack on cities in Gulf Arab countries could lead them to deny air base and air space rights to U.S. aircraft.

"During an Iran scenario, for example, the threat of terrorist and missile attacks, disruption of maritime commerce in the Persian Gulf, or the possibility of domestic backlash from restive Shi'ite populations could persuade U.S. regional partners to deny base access," the report said. "Should U.S. forces gain access to theater bases, a panoply of threats could endanger their operations."

At this point, the report said, Iran's missile arsenal has not threatened U.S. bases in the Gulf. But Gunzinger cited Iran's plans to upgrade its ballistic missiles, particularly the Shihab-3 intermediate-range missile.

"Over time, Iran s missile forces could evolve from a terror coercion weapon into a central element of an integrated A2/AD [anti-access/area-denial] battle network," the report said.

Meanwhile, Iran has unveiled what officials termed an indigenous radar system.

The Iranian Navy has introduced a radar system called Asr. Officials said the S-band Asr was meant to enhance early-warning alert for combat and other naval vessels.

"Asr is a radar project that uses S-band and can meet the needs of our naval fleets for early air warning," Iranian Navy commander Rear Adm. Habibollah Sayari said.

In a ceremony on Nov. 29, Sayari disclosed details of Asr. He said the radar was comprised of indigenous components, including a flat antenna. The commander said this marked Iran's first use of a flat antenna.

Officials said Iran has become increasingly proficient in developing S-band radars. S-band has been employed by weather radar, surface ship radar and communications satellites.

In 2010, the Iranian Defense Ministry said it achieved self-sufficiency in the production of radar systems. Officials said Iranian radars have reached a detection range of 3,000 kilometers.

"Iran is working on a radar system that can cover areas within a range of 3,000 kilometers," Gen. Ahmed Miqani, commander of the Khatam Anbia air base, said.3

David Yerushalmi: The Legal Battle Against Shariah

Today on Secure Freedom Radio, Frank Gaffney hosts Shariah Law expert David Yerushalmi to break down a new Pew research study that shows that the “vast majority of the Muslim world wants strict Al-Qaeda-like Shariah” to be the law of the land.

Yerushalmi also debunks the myth that the fundamental precepts of Shariah vary significantly across the Muslim world, discusses his legal action against the government takeover of the largest promoter and holder of Shariah financing (AIG), and highlights local and state activism across the United States to bar consideration of Shariah Law from our courts.

Our great NATO allies, the Turks, just KEEP ON PROVING WHO THEY ARE

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Turkey

What's it going to take?

Cables: Turkey greenlighted smuggling of nuke components to Iran

LONDON -- Israel has briefed at least one Western power on what was termed Turkish cooperation with nuclear shipments to Iran.

A senior Israeli official said Iran has been smuggling nuclear weapons-related components through Turkey with the awareness of its prime minister, Recep Erdogan.

"They were with Prime Minister Erdogan's full knowledge," a French Foreign Ministry cable said. Te French cable was released by WikiLeaks and reported on a strategic dialogue with Israel in October 2009. The cable quoted a briefing by Israeli Foreign Ministry director-general Yossi Gal to the Franco-Israeli Strategic Dialogue.

The cable was authored by French Foreign Ministry official Frederic Bereyziat, who expressed skepticism over the Israeli briefing on Turkey.

Gal and other officials were said to have warned that under Erdogan Turkey was moving away from NATO and toward such adversaries as Iran and Syria.

Over the last year, Turkey has defended Iran's nuclear program. The two countries were also increasing trade, particularly in energy.

On Dec. 1, Erdogan expressed fury over the leaked U.S. cables, particularly one from 2004 in which he was said to hold secret bank accounts in Switzerland.

The cable from then-U.S. ambassador Eric Edelman stated that the education of Erdogan's children was financed by an unidentified Turkish businessman.

A 2009 cable said Erdogan's friends were profiting from Turkish trade with Iran.

"The United States is responsible for those diplomats' false claims and their smears," Erdogan said. "The United States should ensure that the diplomats are held accountable."

It was not clear how WikiLeaks acquired the French cable. The lion's share of cables and memorandums released on Nov. 28 were those from the U.S. State Department.

During the strategic dialogue, the French delegation, led by Foreign Ministry director-general Pierre Sellal, said it would require firm evidence of Turkish cooperation with Iran's nuclear program. The cable said the Israeli side responded that such evidence was being collected and would eventually be released.

The French-Israeli dialogue, which lasted nearly six hours, also included discussions on Syria. In 2009, Paris moved to restore close diplomatic relations with the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

WikiLeaks cables: Pope wanted Muslim Turkey kept out of EU

Vatican diplomats also lobbied against Venezuela's Hugo Chávez and wanted 'Christian roots' enshrined in EU constitution. The pope is responsible for the Vatican's growing hostility towards Turkey joining the EU, previously secret cables sent from the US embassy to the Holy See in Rome claim.

The cable released by WikiLeaks shows that Ratzinger was the leading voice behind the Holy See's unsuccessful drive to secure a reference to Europe's "Christian roots" in the EU constitution. The US diplomat noted that Ratzinger "clearly understands that allowing a Muslim country into the EU would further weaken his case for Europe's Christian foundations".

But by 2006 Parolin was working for Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, and his tone had distinctly chilled. "Neither the pope nor the Vatican have endorsed Turkey's EU membership per se," he told the American charge d'affaires, "rather, the Holy See has been consistently open to accession, emphasising only that Turkey needs to fulfil the EU's Copenhagen criteria to take its place in Europe."
But he did not expect the demands on religious freedom to be fulfilled: "One great fear is that Turkey could enter the EU without having made the necessary advances in religious freedom. [Parolin] insisted that EU members – and the US – continue to press the [Turkish government] on these issues … He said that short of 'open persecution', it couldn't get much worse for the Christian community in Turkey."

Doctors shocked by spread of swine flu – and its severity

I hab a code in my bdose
H1N1 virus returns, already claiming lives of 10 British adults with early signs that illness has spread to other European countries.

The 10 deaths were in younger adults under 65 and associated with H1N1 swine flu. Most had underlying conditions but "a small proportion" were healthy before being struck down by the virus, according to the Health Protection Agency (HPA). Seasonal flu normally causes severe illness and death in the elderly. The H1N1 swine flu virus targets pregnant women, younger adults, and those with chronic conditions, making it a cause of particular alarm.

All parts of the country are affected with deaths reported from each region, according to the HPA. There were nine flu outbreaks last week, eight in schools and one in an army barracks in Yorkshire.Five of the 10 adults who died for whom information was available had not received the flu vaccine, the HPA said. National figures show vaccination rates are lower than in previous years covering 66 per cent of the over-65s and 40 per cent of younger adults at risk (pregnant women and those with chronic diseases such as asthma).

Professor David Salisbury, director of immunisation at the Department of Health said: "These figures demonstrate that the effects of flu are not to be underestimated. It is not the same as getting a cold and can seriously affect your health.

Terrorist Supporter Teaches Next Generation Diplomats

From Jawa Report:

Pro Hamas, Hezbollah etc supporter. Anti-Zionist, anti 2nd Amendment(guns were responsible for terrorism at Ft Hood not Hasan) etc, "Bassam Frangieh is teaching required course for Middle East Studies majors at Claremont McKenna College, one of America’s best conservative liberal arts college".
But Frangieh, as seen in an investigation I published in The Claremont Independent, a student news magazine of the Claremont Colleges, supports two terrorist groups, Hamas and Hezbollah. He looks to Hamas, a group designated by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization with “with great pleasure,” and signed a petition that supported Hezbollah and condemned Israel as a “Zionist killing machine.” I had numerous petitions and statements from Bassam Frangieh professionally translated from Arabic.

Watch at the 10:50 mark. A Press Conference (rare enough) on the tax cut deal no less and Obama bugs out leaving Clinton to run with it because O doesn't want to make FLOTUS mad! And Clinton agrees! Guess he really wants to get back in the White House.

I hope he doesn't have a birthday party or golf date when the Chinese or NorKs decide to push the button.

Just who the fuck is really running the show?

Or Michelle?

Just absolutely outrageous.

Our American President is pussy whipped.

Real Clear Politics:

Obama Ditches Tax Cut Presser, Bill Clinton Takes Control

Former President Bill Clinton gave a statement after his meeting with President Obama about his tax compromise with the Republicans.

However, after his statement, Clinton began to call on and take questions from the press with Obama at his side. Obama leaves promptly after a few moments and said he had to see Michelle, as he was keeping her "waiting."

"I don't want to make her mad, please go," Clinton told Obama.

My New Preferred Concealed Carry

Navy Sets World Record With Incredible, Sci-Fi Weapon
By John R. Quain

A theoretical dream for decades, the railgun is unlike any other weapon used in warfare. And it's quite real too, as the U.S. Navy has proven in a record-setting test today in Dahlgren, VA.

Rather than relying on a explosion to fire a projectile, the technology uses an electomagnetic current to accelerate a non-explosive bullet at several times the speed of sound. The conductive projectile zips along a set of electrically charged parallel rails and out of the barrel at speeds up to Mach 7.

The result: a weapon that can hit a target 100 miles or more away within minutes.

"It's an over-used term, but it really changes several games," Rear Admiral Nevin P. Carr, Jr., the chief of Naval Research, told FoxNews.com prior to the test.

For a generation raised on shoot-'em-up video games, the word "railgun" invokes sci-fi images of an impossibly destructive weapon annihilating monsters and aliens. But the railgun is nonetheless very real.

An electromagnetic railgun offers a velocity previously unattainable in a conventional weapon, speeds that are incredibly powerful on their own. In fact, since the projectile doesn't have any explosives itself, it relies upon that kinetic energy to do damage. And at 11 a.m. today, the Navy produced a 33-megajoule firing -- more than three times the previous record set by the Navy in 2008.

"It bursts radially, but it's hard to quantify," said Roger Ellis, electromagnetic railgun program manager with the Office of Naval Research. To convey a sense of just how much damage, Ellis told FoxNews.com that the big guns on the deck of a warship are measured by their muzzle energy in megajoules. A single megajoule is roughly equivalent to a 1-ton car traveling at 100 mph. Multiple that by 33 and you get a picture of what would happen when such a weapon hits a target.

Ellis says the Navy has invested about $211 million in the program since 2005, since the railgun provides many significant advantages over convention weapons. For one thing, a railgun offers 2 to 3 times the velocity of a conventional big gun, so that it can hit its target within 6 minutes. By contrast, a guided cruise missile travels at subsonic speeds, meaning that the intended target could be gone by the time it reaches its destination.

Furthermore, current U.S. Navy guns can only reach targets about 13 miles away. The railgun being tested today could reach an enemy 100 miles away. And with current GPS guidance systems it could do so with pinpoint accuracy. The Navy hopes to eventually extend the range beyond 200 miles.

"We're also eliminating explosives from the ship, which brings significant safety benefits and logistical benefits," Ellis said. In other words, there is less danger of an unintended explosion onboard, particularly should such a vessel come under attack.

Indeed, a railgun could be used to inflict just such harm on another vessel.

Admiral Carr, who calls the railgun a "disruptive technology," said that not only would a railgun-equipped ship have to carry few if any large explosive warheads, but it could use its enemies own warheads against them. He envisions being able to aim a railgun directly at a magazine on an enemy ship and "let his explosives be your explosives."

There's also a cost and logistical benefit associated with railguns. For example, a single Tomahawk cruise missile costs roughly $600,000. A non-explosive guided railgun projectile could cost much less. And a ship could carry many more, reducing the logistical problems of delivering more weapons to a ship in battle. For these reasons, Admiral Carr sees the railgun as even changing the strategic and tactical assumptions of warfare in the future.

The Navy still has a distance to go, however, before the railgun test becomes a working onboard weapon. Technically, Ellis says they've already overcome several hurdles. The guns themselves generate a terrific amount of heat -- enough to melt the rails inside the barrel -- and power -- enough to force the rails apart, destroying the gun and the barrel in the process.

The projectile is no cannon ball, either. At speeds well above the sound barrier, aerodynamics and special materials must be considered so that it isn't destroyed coming out of the barrel or by heat as it travels at such terrific speeds.

Then there's question of electrical requirements. Up until recently, those requirements simply weren't practical. However, the naval researchers believe they can solve that issue using newer Navy ships and capacitors to build up the charge necessary to blast a railgun projectile out at supersonic speeds. Ellis says they hope to be able to shoot 6 to 12 rounds per minute, "but we're not there yet."

So when will the railgun become a working weapon? Both Ellis and Carr expect fully functional railguns on the decks of U.S. Navy ships in the 2025 time frame.

Spanish town becomes first to ban face-covering veils

Lleida approves municipal ban on burqas, niqabs because they 'attack equality between men and women and are against women's dignity'.

A northern Spanish town brought into force Thursday a ban on Islamic face-covering veils in municipal buildings, the first such decree in the country. The town of Lleida, population 120,000, approved in July a municipal ban on body-covering burqas or face-covering niqab garments at about 130 locations, ranging from civic centres to swimming pools.

The law, implemented Thursday, was the first of its kind in Spain, where face-covering Islamic garments are seldom seen despite a sharp rise in immigration from Muslim countries over the past decade.

"I believe the burqa and the hijab, as well as similar garments that completely cover the face are an attack against equality between men and women, they are an attack against women's dignity," Lleida mayor Angel Ros said.

"I believe also that equality is something which our society has fought several years for and there can be no reason, not religious, not cultural, that attacks this basic principle," he said in an interview.

The law prohibits the "use of the veil and other clothes and accessories which cover the face and prevent identification in buildings and installations of the town hall." Repeat offenders face fines of 600 euros ($795).

Does This Count As An Act of (Psychological) Terrorism?

During the day I frequently listen to our local conservative talk-radion station WTKK in Boston. Today two of the talk-show hosts reported an incident that occurred during a remote broadcast yesterday, which I consider to have been an act of deliberate "psychological terrorism", or at least blatant intimidation. I don't have a written account I can post, but here is what listeners were told.

On Thursday, 12/09/10, WTKK did a remote broadcast from a large shopping mall south of Boston for the benefit of a US military personnel support organization called Fisher House. This was announced in advance on the station. The remote was set up in an open area of the mall, and right next to the visit-Santa set-up.

According to the talk-show hosts, about 5:30 in the afternoon an man in Islamic garb plus a large heavy overcoat (it was extremely cold in NE yesterday) approached the remote set-up, "glared" at the personalities manning the table, then proceeded to perform his evening Muslim prayers (sans prayer rug, apparently) in a very loud voice in the middle of the mall's open area. Both the talk-show hosts who reported the incident said that they felt intimidated and wondered if this person represented either a threat or was someone enacting a "dry run". He was not carrying any shopping bags and appeared to have entered that area of the mall for the express purpose of staring down the people at the remote set-up and performing his prayers at that location.

Though I assume there was security present in the mall, apparently no one attempted to interfere with or even monitor this individual (though of course we can't know who was watching on the mall tv monitors). When he completed his prayer, he left. I don't know if they legally could have done anything about it anyway, but my impression is that this was a deliberate act of intimidation and perhaps even provocation, and that his intent (besides his delusion of bringing down the wrath of Allah) was essentially psychological terrorism. The people who were there aren't quite sure what to think.

What do you think?

Wreckovery -- How They Take That Greatest Depression Frown and Turn It Upside Down

Here's today's press release from The Department of Labor.

It shows you how they take 169,000 increase in REAL PEOPLE becoming unemployed and turn it into 17,000 less PHONY PEOPLE becoming unemployed.

Guess that's how they justify fucking around with extending U.C. benefits.

Remember, this only counts people collecting U.C. and looking for work. So even this isn't the true picture.

And further, remember that we are supposedly in a season when many temporary jobs are filled and unemployment should therefore drop.

But we're doing so much better you bet.

"Off With Their Heads!"

British peasants -- er -- students are in an ugly mood.

London Protesters Attack Prince Charles' Car
Thursday, 09 Dec 2010

Angry protesters in London have attacked a car containing Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. An Associated Press photographer saw demonstrators kick the car in Regent Street, in the heart of London's shopping district. The car then sped off.

Charles' office, Clarence House, confirmed that "their royal highnesses' car was attacked by protesters on the way to their engagement at the London Palladium this evening, but their royal highnesses are unharmed."

The couple arrived looking composed at the theater, where they were attending a Royal Variety Performance.

Protesters angry at a huge tuition fee hike are fighting with police and smashing windows in London, after legislators in the House of Commons approved a plan to triple university fees to 9,000 pounds ($14,000) a year.

Thousands of students staged a peaceful protest but a minority turned violent, hurling sticks and rocks at riot police, smashing store windows and setting on fire a giant Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square.

UK: 2,000-Year-Old Holy Thorn Tree of Glastonbury is Cut Down, Linked Back to Origins of Christianity…

(Daily Mail)- Standing proudly on the side of an English hill, its religious roots go back 2,000 years. But a single night of vandalism has left an ancient site of pilgrimage in splinters.

The Holy Thorn Tree of Glastonbury has been chopped down in what is being seen by some as a deliberately anti-Christian act.

A feature of the skyline surrounding the Somerset town, the tree has been visited by thousands retracing the steps said to have been taken by Joseph of Arimathea, who some say was Jesus’ great uncle.

According to legend, Saint Joseph travelled to the spot after Christ was crucified, taking with him the Holy Grail of Arthurian folklore.

…Yesterday residents of Glastonbury wept as they surveyed the damage done to the tree on Wednesday night. Katherine Gorbing, curator of the town’s abbey, said: ‘The mindless vandals who have hacked down this tree have struck at the heart of Christianity.

‘It is the most significant of all the trees planted here and can be linked back to the origins of Christianity.

I will be following this through the investigation, if it turns out to be misunderstanders of ropma I beleive they will try to bury that news.

Wannabe Bomber of Maryland Recruiting Center Married to Massachusetts Dhimmi

WHDH News in Boston is reporting that "Antonio Martinez" a.k.a. Muhammad Hussain, is married to one Naimah Ismail, a "student and employee" at Pine Manor College in upscale Chestnut Hill, MA. Clueless and dhimmified fellow students are already gushing about the very "sweet" Ms. Ismail-Martinez-Hussain -- whose husband describes her as supportive of his jihadist aims -- and whining about how her "personal life" is being "subjugated all over the news". Want to bet these same nitwits are cheering on WikiLeaks' founder Assange's little "free inquiry" project?

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- A man accused of plotting to bomb an army recruiting center in Maryland has ties to Massachusetts. The FBI arrested Antonio Martinez, 21, Wednesday after a two month undercover investigation.

His Facebook page says he's married to a woman who describes herself as a student and employee at Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill. Pine Manor College officials said they would not comment on student Naimah Ismail.

("Naimah Ismail." There's your first clue, Sherlock. Is Ms. Ismail-Martinez-Hussain a dhimmi or a cohort?)

“I don’t think she really truly believed she knew what she was getting into and I really feel sorry for the girl. She’s really sweet,” said one student.

Ismail’s husband is accused of plotting to bomb an army recruiting center in Maryland with a fake bomb supplied by an FBI undercover agent.

“The evidence to date indicates that he was acting alone and with his arrest today we have eliminated the threat,” said Richard McFeely of the FBI.

Students at Pine Manor College received an e-mail to not talk about Ismail or her situation.

“I’m not surprised. Obviously they are just trying to protect the integrity of the school,” said Lucindy Paul-Saint, a former student.

“You know, this is a poor girl’s personal life and it’s being subjugated all over the news. It’s really unfair and I’m not allowed to talk about it,” said one student.

Yet, at the same time there is enough concern that faculty members said officials at the college are, and should be, looking closely at the student and the man she married.

“I think they should be concerned about it. And everybody should be,” said Sid Abdullah, a faculty member. “There’s some connection. There’s some link here.”

There is no word on how long the two have been married. According to court documents, Martinez, a Muslim convert, was upset that U.S. Forces were killing "Muslim brothers and sisters" overseas. He was arrested Wednesday.

According to an FBI affidavit, Martinez said: "My wife understands…I told her I want to fight jihad…She said she doesn't want to stop me."

FBI officials said it appeared that Martinez was acting alone. Authorities said Facebook postings helped tip off the FBI about Martinez. There have been a string of failed terror plots: an alleged plane bomb attempt last Christmas, the Times Square car bomb attempt and a failed attack at a Christmas tree lighting in Oregon. The White House was aware of the sting operation and federal authorities said the public was not in danger at any point. Martinez now faces life in prison.

Wikileaks Exposes Lie That Iraq War was About Oil

Making A Killing: The Iraq War Is Shell On EarthHow disappointing it must be to liberals not to find anything damaging to America among the hundreds of thousands of documents released into the wild by the world's most megalomaniacal anarchist, Julian Assange.

Islamists raise fears of violent 'clash of cultures' in Europe

From Eye on the World:

"It's a mathematical certainty there will be a successful attack ... at some point," expert warns.
LONDON (MSNBC) — It is a Sunday night in London's East End and the self-styled "most hated man in Britain" is holding court, reveling in his vision of a Taliban victory over America and a world under Islamic Shariah law.

The crowd of about 250 listens intently as Anjem Choudary issues a call to arms in the pristine surroundings of the newly refurbished art deco conference center, built to host weddings and business meetings.

"There are many battlefields," he says calmly into a microphone. "There's a battlefield outside 10 Downing Street [home to Britain's prime minister] and in the mountains of the Tora Bora [in Afghanistan]."

Berlin Islamic cultural center hit by firebomb

BERLIN (AP) — An Islamic cultural center in Berlin was attacked early Thursday with a Molotov cocktail, the sixth arson attack on Muslim institutions in the German capital this year, police said.

British Islamists lose their Parliamentary foothold

By Andrew Gilligan at The Telegraph:
Two weeks ago I reported how Islamists had established a bridgehead in Parliament. A group called Engage (or iEngage) got itself appointed as the secretariat of a new all-party parliamentary group on Islamophobia. Islamophobia is rapidly emerging as the Islamists’ favoured new front – they have taken to conflating themselves with the entire Muslim community and damning any attacks on their tiny minority reading of Islam as an “Islamophobic” assault on the whole faith.

Engage is at the heart of this process, an organisation which specialises in defending fundamentalist bodies such as the East London Mosque and the Islamic Forum of Europe and attacking all criticism of them as “Islamophobic.”

It attacked the BBC’s recent Panorama documentary on racist Muslim schools – showing that some children are being taught anti-Semitism and Sharia punishments – as a “witch-hunt.” Typically, it launched its attack before even seeing the programme. It attacked me for writing about the East London Mosque’s hosting of the terrorist preacher, Anwar al-Awlaki, in 2009 – advertised with a poster showing New York under bombardment. It peddled the straightforward lie told by the mosque that no-one had realised Awlaki was a bad egg at that stage.

It wrote to the Home Secretary to protest against the ban on the extremist preacher, Zakir Naik, who has stated that “every Muslim should be a terrorist.” It attacked the Independent columnist, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, one of the country’s major voices of moderate Islam, for her opposition to the niqab and the burka.

Today, I am delighted to say, Engage has been dropped as the secretariat to the all-party group. I understand that a number of parliamentarians on the group threatened to resign once they were made aware of its true views and links. Congratulations to the Harry’s Place blog, Conservative Home and the former MP Paul Goodman for drawing attention to the issue, and keeping up the pressure.

As we have seen with the East London Mosque, Islamists have in the past won access to power by being dishonest about their objectionable views. Today’s news is the latest evidence that now that their tactics are being exposed, and the truth about them is being told, they are being consistently pushed back.

Hamas TV: "Kill Christians and Jews To The Last One"

Hamas is the elected government of Gaza, and this is the official State-sponsored Television of Gaza.

Never in history has a nation's media been so malevolently focused on encouraging the murder of entire peoples; NOT EVEN IN NAZI GERMANY.

The Nazis murdered Jews behind the facades of their Potemkin culture.

But Hamas, they come right out into the open, and declare their intentions. The question is, will we be stupid enough to allow them, and people like them, to gain more power, so that they can carry out their evil intents?

Helen Thomas: Evil Joooo ADL Chief Abe Foxman is “Intimidating” Me, “I’m Going to Report Him to President Obama”

From Weasel Zippers:

(DFP)- Defending her controversial comments in Dearborn, journalist Helen Thomas said on a radio show aired Tuesday that a prominent Jewish group was intimidating her. And she maintained her belief that Zionists are controlling U.S. foreign policy.

“I just think that people should be enlightened as to who is in charge of the opinion in this country,” Thomas, 90, told the Marion, Ohio, radio station, WMRN-AM. “I mean, they’ve gotten the First Amendment.”
In response, ADL Director Abe Foxman told the Free Press today that the group has a right to criticize Thomas, whose bigoted comments are “doing body blows to her image."

…”I’m going to tell the Anti-Defamation League to back off,” Thomas said on the radio show. “They think they have the right of intimidation.”

“They already got my job. They want to get my honorary degrees. I mean, who are these people? What’s the matter, they can’t take freedom of speech?”

She added: “I’m getting tired of this intimidation. I’m going to report him (ADL director Abe Foxman) to President Obama and all the proper authorities. He better stop intimidating me. He has to shut up everyone in the country who is against Israeli tyranny. That’s his job. That’s what he is paid for.

Iran placing ballistic missiles in Venezuela that can reach the US.

If any of you in the US still think Iran is only a threat to Israel and the Gulf countries, and therefore wonder why you should be at all concerned about it, perhaps this will change your mind: Iran is placing medium-range missiles that can reach the United States in Venezuela.

According to Die Welt, Venezuela has agreed to allow Iran to establish a military base manned by Iranian missile officers, soldiers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Venezuelan missile officers. In addition, Iran has given permission for the missiles to be used in case of an "emergency".

In return, the agreement states that Venezuela can use these facilities for "national needs" – radically increasing the threat to neighbors like Colombia. The German daily claims that according to the agreement, Iranian Shahab 3 (range 1300-1500 km), Scud-B (285-330 km) and Scud-C (300, 500 and 700 km) will be deployed in the proposed base. It says that Iran also pledged to help Venezuela in rocket technology expertise, including intensive training of officers.

And for those of you making the obvious comparison to the 1962 Cuban missile crisis....

Back in the 1962, thanks to the stern stance adopted by the then Kennedy administration, the crisis was defused.Nowadays, however, we do not see the same firmness from the present administration. On the contrary, we see a lax attitude, both in language and in deeds, that results in extending hands when our adversaries have no intention of shaking hands with us.

Iran is soon going to have a nuclear weapon, and there are no signs that UN sanctions will in any way deter the Ayatollah's regime from completing its nuclear program.

Russian navy jets disrupted US-Japanese military exercise

Japan and the US were forced to scramble fighter planes to intercept Russian navy jets apparently attempting to gather intelligence during a joint military exercise.

Russian navy jets disrupted US-Japanese military exercise
In what Japan said was an unprecedented show of force two 'submarine hunter' Ilyushin-38 jets from Russia's Pacific Fleet circled the biggest joint US-Japanese military exercise in history for several hours in an apparent attempt to gather intelligence.
The incursion was deemed so serious that the exercise was temporarily halted and F-15 fighter jets scrambled to intercept the Russian planes.
Although it is not unusual for foreign planes to try to spy on other countries' war games, Japanese media interpreted the move as Russia's latest warning shot in a festering territorial dispute between Moscow and Tokyo.

It's Wiki war of the HACKERS.. and this needless damaging to free peoples SIDETRACK MUST be crushed

The attackers, no matter what they THINK they are defending, and what they think they are attacking are not fighting for truth, they are espousing the idea that NO SECRET is valid and all national aspirational, and religious outcomes are equal. That all arguments are equal, that all manners of secret keeping are bad, that all must be laid bare so that no negotiation is possible, no NATO is possible, no aggregation to free Kuwait in 1990 is possible, no contact with unions behind the Iron Curtain is possible.

THIS ARROGANCE OF ASSUMED VIRTUE, has now lead these cretins of convenient credibility to attack those commercial ventures who have withdrawn support from wikileaks.

This mean they must all be found, to the last juvenile moron, and PUT AWAY FOR SO LONG A PERIOD EACH AND EVERY ONE, that every other temptation to act in this manner is instantly put away.

Hackers Strike Back to Support WikiLeaks

A growing list of organizations and individuals that have tangled with WikiLeaks and its detained founder, Julian Assange, have suffered online attacks, in what appears to be an effort by hackers bent on exacting revenge for the document-leaking website. The attacks stepped up Wednesday, a day after Mr. Assange was arrested and denied bail in London in connection with sexual-misconduct accusations in Sweden. A range of organizations, including MasterCard Inc., Visa Inc., and the Swedish prosecutor's office, reported technical difficulties with their websites that appear to stem from so-called denial of service attacks, in which computers flood a server to prevent it from displaying a Web page.

The attacks in recent days have hit eBay Inc.'s PayPal as well as MasterCard, both of which have pulled services from WikiLeaks in recent days. Also affected: Swiss bank PostFinance. The unit of Swiss Post recently closed Mr. Assange's account, saying he provided a false address in Geneva, failing to meet the bank's requirement of Swiss residency for account holders.

These at best misguided vandals of mass mess are acting for world where no change is possible save by secret open attack of military finality,
