Is Islam poised to take over?

My third piece at FrontPage Magazine is now posted. Warning -- I wrote it while I was in one of my darker moods. Reader discretion is advised.

The most important fact here is this:

"Only two major territorial setbacks for Islam can be found in its 14 centuries of existence– the Reconquista (the Christian-led reconquest) of Spain, completed in the late 15th century, and the founding of the modern state of Israel in 1947. And the Ummah — the global gang of believers — has every reason to believe that these two setbacks are only temporary."

The reason this is important is because when one goes into battle, one needs to assess the lay of the land. How does our enemy accomplish what he accomplishes, and how does our enemy lose what he loses, and how does he react when he loses?

Islam loses when they establish a foothold in an area, get settled, and then people fight back.

That's interesting to note.

Have there ever been any cases of any nation fighting back, and losing, after Islam has already settled an area? I'm not sure that there have been. I think there have been numerous occasions where Infidels have fought back and not permanently taken the land they conquered (i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, golan Heights, etc.
