Suppose they had prayed for the Dallas Cowboys?
Would that be bad?
Are people somewhere afraid Perry will take the cross and invade the holy land?
Are they afraid he is liable to force people to convert?
Are they afraid he is going to mention God if elected pres?
I just don't get it. Seriously.
The guy BELIEVES. It makes him FEEL BETTER. It gives him HOPE. It guides his moral being.
IT IS ALSO PERSONAL.
So what's the deal?
No one was scared Lieberman would outlaw pork if elected.
But more importantly, is there anyone who believes the USA does not need people praying for it right now?
Or is praying a bad thing by nature?

TV and MSM anti-Christ media can be expected to get upset about all things truly Christian, but has no problem with fake Christians like Obama. Yes, they are afraid they have been wrong, and Jesus Christ truly is God's son. This would put them in a precarious position on judgment day. Even though they think they have it figured out that there is no God, they have this little doubt in their heart which rises up every time they are exposed to real Christians.
Epaminondas,
For many people its not so much the praying that's upsetting people, but the fact that he's sponsoring an event, as governor that endorses Christianity over other religions. Also, people are upset by the nature of some of the people who are attending the event.
I don't always agree with Americans United For the Seperation of Church And State, but they do have some valid concerns here.

Than again, some atheists, have criticized the event by pointing out how little good they think all the praying will actually do.
