I doubt most of you are too surprised by the many stories about Israel and Saudi Arabia cooperatingagainst Iran. But this has to be a new twist: The United States has warned Israel and Saudi Arabia that it will protect Iran against any attack taken without its approval.
Israeli personnel in recent days were in Saudi Arabia to inspect bases that could be used as a staging ground to launch attacks against Iran, according to informed Egyptian intelligence officials.According to Investor’s Business Daily based upon an Israeli television report, Senior White House Advisor Valerie Jarett has been operating behind the curtains of a scripted theatrical deal-making charade.
The officials said Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and other Arab and Persian Gulf countries have been discussing the next steps toward possible strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
The officials said the U.S. passed strong messages to Israel and the Saudis that the Americans maintain and control radar capabilities around the skies of Iran and that no strike should be launched without the permission of the Obama administration.
As the story goes, Iranian-born Jarrett has traveled to a number of Persian Gulf states over the past year to negotiate a “one-year-in-the-making” agreement with Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization. “Anonymous Israeli officials” claim that the talks produced U.S. concessions to Tehran as “confidence-building measures”.
The White House denies the report. But then, just how confidence-building is that? Maybe consider ObamaCare for example.
