Ethnicity And Race Designations Required?

I admit that I had my doubts about this October 20, 2013 story, "Obamacare seeks to segregate patients, doctors by race" — until I visited my neurologist on December 9. Before that date, I last saw my neurologist on June 17, 2013.

As usual, the girl behind the front desk handed me a sheet with insurance information to verify. I did so by comparing all the numbers on the sheet with the health insurance card that I carry in my wallet, then handed the sheet back to her. She said: "You haven't completed the form. See the top right."

There were two more lines to fill in. One said "ethnicity," the other "race."

Never before has any insurance form in any doctor's office I have visited required such designations!

Having to provide the information on any insurance form makes me uneasy. What's the point?

I noticed two other changes while visiting my neurologist on December 9:

(1) Sheet after sheet to fill out so as to provide a detailed medical history of my immediate and extended family.

(2) Having to be weighed in during my visit.  Never before have I been required to step on the scale at the neurologist's office.  Not that I worry about my weigh-in; I'm well under even the remote possibility of obesity.

All in all, this December 9 visit to my neurologist took up 1.5 hours of my time; of that time, I spent about one hour face-to-face with my neurologist — although I must say that at least 30 minutes of that face-to-face time was consumed by the neurologist having to sit in front of his computer in my presence so as to complete the electronic medical records.  Previous visits to my neurologist have consumed barely 20 minutes of my time.

Three links connecting former Egyptian president Morsi with Al-Qeada

From Vlad Tepes Blog:

Link 1:

The first telephone recording between Mohamed Morsi and Muhammad Al-Zawahiri was from the presidential institution and lasted for approximately 59 seconds. In that conversation Morsi congratulated Al-Zawahiri on his release from jail and assured him that he won’t be followed or observed by any Egyptian Authorities.
In another call, lasting approximately  ”2 minutes ,56 seconds”, Morsi told Muhammad Al-Zawahiri about the Muslim Brotherhood’s support for Al-Mojahidin (Islamist fighters), a ultra radical Islamic terrorist organization and explained the necessity that Islamist fighters support the Brotherhood  in order to succeed in ruling Egypt.
A third call was recorded a month and a half  later and  discussed  a plan between the presidency institution and the Muslim Brotherhood from one side and Al-Qaeda on the other side, to create terrorists cells inside the country  to protect the Ikhwani regime.

Link 2

Al-Zawahiri also told Morsi that he must stop building churches, and the Copts must pay “Jizia”—Fees—if they want to live in peace. Al-Zawahiri also said: you should apply the experience of Pakistan and Afghanistan in Egypt, and must execute the secularists!  Morsi replied: We have taken deterrent decisions against secularists and we will put new laws that limit their media, and we have a big budget to set up new TV channels that urge jihad and al-Qaeda ideology.

Link 3

In October 2013 Albawaba News claimed to be in possession of such recordings where ousted president Morsi committed to al-Qaeda’s leader and made several promises which included avoiding the arrest of Jihadists and personal permission to open training camps for Jihad in the Sinai.
According to unspecified sources such conversations could soon become public, with dramatic consequences for Mohamed Morsi who is currently awaiting trial in a maximum security prison near Alexandria.

2013 Will Finish One Of The Ten Coldest Years In US History, With The Largest Drop In Temperature

From Real Science:

Before NASA and NOAA start tampering with the data, 2013 is one of the ten coldest years  in the US since 1895, and has had the largest year over year decline on record.
NOAA of course won’t talk about this, and will massively tamper with the data before releasing it.
The graph below is the monthly average of all daily high and low temperatures at all NOAA USHCN stations.

9/11 Families FINALLY Win Right to Sue Saudi Arabia

They've been trying for years now:
Families of the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks today celebrated a federal court’s ruling that allows relatives of people who died in the 9/11 terror attacks to sue Saudi Arabia.
Most of the hijackers who attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001 were from Saudi Arabia, and the complaint states that much of the funding for the al-Qaeda terrorists came from Saudi Arabia.
An attempt to Saudi Arabia in 2002 was blocked by a federal court ruling that said the kingdom had sovereign immunity. That ruling was reversed Thursday by a three-judge federal panel.
“I’m ecstatic…. For 12 years we’ve been fighting to expose the people who financed those bastards,” said William Doyle, the father of Joseph Doyle, 25, a Cantor-Fitzgerald employee who was killed in the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
“Christmas has come early to the 9/11 families. We’re going to have our day in court,” he told ABCNews.com.
The ruling struck down an earlier decision that found Saudi Arabia immune from lawsuits. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said it’s in the “interests of justice” to allow them to proceed.
Families who lost loved ones in the Sept. 11 attacks and insurers who lost billions of dollars covering damaged businesses have alleged Saudi Arabia bankrolled al-Qaeda, knowing the money would be used for terrorism.
The lawsuit, filed a decade ago by the Philadelphia firm Cozen O’Connor, accuses the Saudi government and members of the royal family of serving on charities that financed al-Qaeda operations.

Israel Green Lights Construction of Massive 100-Foot Tall Jesus Statue To Be Built In Muslim-Dominated Nazareth

From Fox News:
As Christians from across the globe flock to the Holy Land in time for Christmas prayers and ceremonies, some in the community in Nazareth are seeking to reaffirm the historical importance of their town by erecting a statue of Jesus that would tower more than 100 feet above the city.
The idea for the statue comes from Bishara Shlayan, a Christian merchant seaman who lives in Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus.
Shlayan has seen the demographics of Nazareth change considerably in recent years, with the Christian community becoming a minority while the Muslim population has grown to 70 percent of the 80,000 residents of the northern Israeli town.
“Slowly, but surely, the Christian identity in Nazareth is beginning to disappear,” said Shlayan, noting that signs in the main square declare that “There is no power but Allah.”
The plan is for the statue of Jesus to be sit atop Mount Precipice, also known as the Mount of the Leap of the Lord, the promontory where according to Luke 4:29-30, a mob attempted to drive Jesus off the hilltop only for him to pass through them without injury.
Shlayan is raising money for the project, but recently got what may be even more important backing: Israel’s Tourism Minister Uzi Landau gave him the green light, saying, “Start it, and we will bless it.”
“I don’t believe in statues, but it is a symbol of love and peace,” Shlayan told The Jerusalem Post. “People who are against it, it comes from jealousy.”
The statue is inspired by the iconic Christ the Redeemer figure that dominates the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, but would be even taller, said Shlayan.

One opinion is to be tolerated, one isn't

Evil Preaches Tolerance Until It Is Dominant, Then Seeks to Silence Good
In 1987, Andre Sarano took a photograph of Christ on the cross in a jar of urine. It won the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art’s “Awards in the Visual Arts” competition, which was sponsored in part by taxpayers.
Outraged Christians were told they didn’t have to see it. They did not have to go to the museum. Their money, of course, had to fund the National Endowment for the Arts, but they themselves just needed to ignore it. Christians needed to show tolerance to for the diversity of others’ thoughts.
Robert Maplethorpe spent many years touring the United States with artwork depicting, among other things, people drinking urine, bondage and sadomasochism, and a picture of himself with a whip inserted in that part of his body Phil Robertson does not find very attractive.
Conservatives offended by this were instructed to be tolerant, not go to the exhibit, and just turn the other cheek.
In 1996, Chris Ofili created a painting of the Virgin Mary. He pornographic images and elephant dung. Rudy Giuliani, then Mayor of New York City, tried to yank funding for the Brooklyn Museum because of the painting. Giuliani was pilloried in the press for doing so. Tolerance was demanded. Christians did not have to go to the museum if they wanted.
And now we’ve reach a new level.
Phil Robertson is an evangelical Christian. He called sin illogical, stated his preference for women, and lumped gays in with other sinners such as drunks and terrorists. It is that last one that has really caused all the problems. Nevermind that Phil Robertson said Christians are to love everyone and not judge anyone. Nevermind he made it clear he was not condemning anyone. He just stated his belief.
He did not make anyone convert. He did not attack anyone. He did not harass anyone. He answered a question. But the kids at GLAAD, now dominant, have gone from demanding tolerance for all to silencing good people.
Christians were once told they did not have to look or listen. The militant gay rights movement and the secular left will not abide by their own prescription. Those who dissent or think differently must be silenced.
The members of GLAAD, which also took it upon itself to tell America what Christians really should think and believe, could simply not watch Duck Dynasty. But the hysteric whiners can’t leave it at that. They cannot leave well enough alone. They must punish and destroy.
Evil must, when it is able, silence good because good serves as an ever present and ongoing witness against evil.

"Darwin's Theory Is Wrong", Says Queer Studies/Evolutionary Ecologist, Joan Roughgarden

What are you laughing at, Pastorius?

The Bible argues that homosexuality is wrong, because it's a sin. But Darwin has a different reason. Darwin would not say homosexuality is wrong, so much as it's just an evolutionary dead end. An aberration in life. A Cul de Sac, a line segment going the wrong way up the backdoor without a paddle, so to speak.

From the LA Weekly:
Darwin, whose theory of evolution says that all life originated from a common ancestor, made the other frequently cited argument against homosexuality. The reason the tree of life is so varied is because reproduction is an inexact process. Mutations arise that either help or hinder existence. Helpful ones create new lineages; harmful ones die off. “Survival of the fittest” is an abridged way of saying organisms with mutations that increase the species’ chances of reproduction do better than ones that don’t.
But mutation alone doesn’t explain all the variety in nature. To address that, Darwin developed his idea of sexual selection. Sexual selection is meant to explain how things like a peacock’s ornamental tail — obviously a hindrance to survival (have you ever tried running away from a predator with a kite tied to your ass?) — exist. Darwin figured, simply, that peahens (female peacocks) must like the tail. In fact, Darwin supposes, the male with the biggest tail attracts the most females.
So, in Darwin’s theory of evolution, mutations that are not in the service of survival — as are speed, camouflage and opposable thumbs — must be in the service of attracting mates with which to propagate the species.
Which puts homosexuality, which is clearly not a reproduction-enhancing mutation, at odds with Darwinism. Which, in turn, has made strange bedfellows out of sworn enemies: Evolutionary scientists and Christian-right literalists both agree, for different reasons, that homosexuality is unnatural.
Now, while the rest of the country is grappling with the issue of gay marriage, Stanford Evolutionary Ecologist Joan Roughgarden is trying to untangle Darwin’s mess by publishingEvolution’s Rainbow: Diversity, Gender and Sexuality in Nature and People. Roughgarden’s thesis begins with the idea that since homosexuality is not a reproductive strategy, according to Darwin it’s an aberration that should die off.
But instead of deciding that homosexuality is wrong from an evolutionary standpoint, Roughgarden arrived at another conclusion: Darwin’s theory of sexual selection must be wrong. Traveling this path and others, her book marks the first time that a scientist has presented a cogent challenge to one of Darwin’s sacred cows.
Now, that is fucking funny, isn't it?

Go read the LA Weekly interview with the genius Stanford Professor of, what the fuck is it? Oh yeah, Professor of Evolutionary Ecology and Gender-Queer Biogenetics Critical Theory.

And while you're at it, ponder the fact that this presumably Lesbian Professor's name is ROUGHGARDEN.

That's an awesome, awesome name for a dyke, isn't it?

Camille Paglia: Duck Dynasty uproar ‘utterly fascist, utterly Stalinist’

From the Daily Caller:
The suspension of Phil Robertson from A&E’s Duck Dynasty is outrageous in a nation that values freedom, according to social critic and openly gay, dissident feminist Camille Paglia.
“I speak with authority here, because I was openly gay before the ‘Stonewall rebellion,’ when it cost you something to be so. And I personally feel as a libertarian that people have the right to free thought and free speech,”
Paglia, a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, said on Laura Ingraham’s radio show Thursday.
“In a democratic country, people have the right to be homophobic as well as they have the right to support homosexuality — as I one hundred percent do. If people are basing their views against gays on the Bible, again they have a right of religious freedom there,” she added.
“To express yourself in a magazine in an interview — this is the level of punitive PC, utterly fascist, utterly Stalinist, OK, that my liberal colleagues in the Democratic Party and on college campuses have supported and promoted over the last several decades,” Paglia said.
“This is the whole legacy of free speech 1960’s that have been lost by my own party.” Paglia went on to point out that while she is an atheist she respects religion and has been frustrated by the intolerance of gay activists. “I think that this intolerance by gay activists toward the full spectrum of human beliefs is a sign of immaturity, juvenility,” Paglia said.
“This is not the mark of a true intellectual life. This is why there is no cultural life now in the U.S. Why nothing is of interest coming from the major media in terms of cultural criticism. Why the graduates of the Ivy League with their A, A, A+ grades are complete cultural illiterates, etc. is because they are not being educated in any way to give respect to opposing view points.”
“There is a dialogue going on human civilization, for heaven sakes. It’s not just this monologue coming from fanatics who have displaced the religious beliefs of their parents into a political movement,” she added. “And that is what happened to feminism, and that is what happened to gay activism, a fanaticism.”

Whenever you think you are being paranoid, you are not being paranoid ENOUGH

Government Using NSA to Change Amount in Bank Accounts, Warns Panel

A White House review panel report into the activities of the NSA suggested that the government was using the spy agency to launch cyber attacks against financial institutions and change the amounts held in bank accounts.
Page 221 of the panel’s report states;
(1) Governments should not use surveillance to steal industry secrets to advantage their domestic industry;
(2) Governments should not use their offensive cyber capabilities to change the amounts held in financial accounts or otherwise manipulate the financial systems.
“Top financial experts say that the NSA and other intelligence agencies are using information gained from spying to profit from this inside information. And the NSA wants to ramp up its spying on Wall Street … to “protect” it. “Whose money, exactly, is the NSA “protecting” … and how are they protecting it?” asks Washington’s Blog, “What about the money of people that the U.S. government considers undesirables?”
The government’s ability to use the NSA to directly amend bank accounts increases the risk of Americans being subjected to a Cyprus-style “bail-in” where a tax on savings deposits is directly levied in the name of austerity.
Earlier this year, Chase Bank customers attempted to withdraw their cash from ATMs only to be shocked at seeing their balance reduced to zero by a mystery system “glitch”.
Now this is from Infowars, BUT, the report quotes are the govts own report.
I usually feel Infowars IS too paranoid, but with the news about Target being compromised by actions INSIDE their point of sale card readers and AT LEAST 45.7 million cards being exposed … you have to wonder if some NSA rogue, … well, if you’ve seen Officespace, you know where this goes.

White House To Allow Americans To Purchase Health Plans Not Allowed Under the Obamacare Law

President Barack Obama

Again, Barack Obama thinks he can pass a law, and then ignore it; dictating his own law from day to day, without any responsibility to the legal process or American Constitution.

From the WSJ:
WASHINGTON (WSJ) —The Obama administration said Thursday it would allow millions of Americans whose insurance policies had been canceled to purchase bare-bones plans next year, in another eleventh-hour tweak to the law likely to cause consternation among insurance carriers.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told a group of six senators in a letter viewed by The Wall Street Journal that people whose policies had been canceled because of new requirements under the health law would be allowed to purchase ‘catastrophic’ plans.
Those plans had previously been restricted to people under the age of 30 or individuals who qualified for a set of specific hardship exemptions. Catastrophic plans typically cover three primary-care visits a year and some preventive benefits, but they have few of the other benefits of the law and only cover large medical costs after a high deductible.
Carriers that are offering them for the coming year have already cleared the plans with state regulators and set prices, but they did so in the expectation that few people over the age of 30 would be purchasing them.
Oh, and by the way, HERE:

QUICK.. Someone get me a violin

AFL-CIO’s Richard Trumka getting ‘grief’ from members over Obamacare

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said he was “getting grief” from union members regarding his support for the Affordable Care Act, akaObamacare. The calls have not changed his opposition to repeal, he added, saying the program merely needs to be “tweaked.”

(PASTORIUS CUTTING IN - Here's you go, Epa!)

Trumka made the comments in response to a question from Politico reporter Mike Allen during a breakfast event hosted by the news website. Allen wanted to know if Trumka, who has been an enthusiastic backer of the law since it passed, was getting angry responses from rank-and-file members.President Obama's new law has been causing serious problems for union-run multiemployer health insurance plans, known as Taft-Hartley plans."Am I getting grief about that? Sure, I am getting grief about that. Do I want to see Obamacare scrapped? Absolutely not, because it is a good start," Trumka said.

Naked DC:
Yesterday, when faced with the footie pajama nightmare that is the latest Obamacare ad, we made this prediction:
This kid is probably just a douchebag who went to a liberal arts college, got a graduate degree in a useless field, put in some time teaching poetry to underprivileged urban youth in a third world country and now dreams of the day when he’ll be asked to host a breakout session at Aspen Ideas.
So not only are we wildly attractive, undeniably witty and unfailingly humble, but we’re smart as sh*t, too. America, meet Ethan Krupp, OFA social content writer, University of Wisconsin-Madison comms school graduate and Pajamacare poster boy.
Via The Washington Times, lest you think we spent actual time digging this up.
You can see all of the lovely photographs gleaned from his personal social media sites here. Rest assured they will substantiate all of your original impressions of Ethan. Or, at least our original impression of Ethan.
UPDATE: Not only does he live in Chicago, which means there’s a horrible-yet-awesome chance we’ll run into him stumbling out of a Clark Street bar after he’s spent countless hours in the Wrigley Field bleachers drinking light beer with his – no doubt – bleach blonde girlfriend decked out in LuluLemon and VS Pink Cubs attire, but it seems he was an absolute blast at college.
We also looked him up in some New Trier alumni directories (apparently, we have a few friends in common as we are both hipster assholes), and his address is listed in a tony North Shore town  (ed. - we’re not interested in facilitating any stalking, you weirdos, so we keep redacting that further), and, courtesy of Google StreetView, we have another revelation: the minivan in the driveway on the home that he probably can’t afford on his own  seems to confirm what many suspected all along. Our fair spokesperson for government health care just might live with his parents.

Obama Administration Talking "Cost of Repeal" - Is This The Beginning of an Avalanche?

From Ace of Spades:
This seems like a pretty significant backpedal. They've also gone to the expense of crunching the numbers (assuming they can be believed anymore than previous estimates) on the costs and interruptions associated with repealing the law at this late date. Not just nationally, but they've done this on a state-by-state basis as well. It appears a lot of time went into this new talking point.
They're also admitting that the law has significant problems:
"Moving forward, the President and Democrats in Congress are committed to improving the health care law and fixing it when the need arises. Every day more uninsured Americans are signing up for plans as the website gets faster and more people with insurance are benefiting from the law."
I'm not sure if they're seeing disastrous internal polling or if this is a shot at the increasingly-weak knees of several red state Democrat Senators up for reelection next year, but either way, this is not exactly a position of strength.

If You Support Freedom and Gays – You’ll Join A&E Boycott

I pretty much agree with everything Andrew Marcus says here.
Posted by Andrew Marcus:
Unless you’ve been consumed by reading the fine print on Obamacare, you’re already well aware of the Duck Dynasty controversy surrounding comments their patriarch made about homosexuals and black people.
First the homosexuals:
“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
Now regarding blacks:
I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash. We’re going across the field…. They’re singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’—not a word!… Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues.
It’s not hard to understand why people would be offended by these two statements. Many people from across the political spectrum, myself included, do not believe homosexuality is a sin. And most people accept that the segregated south was a horrible place for blacks to exist, even if they appeared happy with their sub-human status.
That being said, I’m joining the #BoycottA&E movement. Why would I do such a thing after expressing my disagreement with the quoted comments? The answer two-fold.
First is because the people running A&E are a bunch of cowards. Here they had a priceless opportunity to engage in what would’ve been a very honest and more importantly a compelling clash of ideas on one of todays top TV shows. Imagine if they had confronted this on air, on the show. Nobody would’ve been able to take their eyes off of it.
Unfortunately A&E and American popular culture’s response to anything counter to the popular narrative is to silence the source of the undesired speech. I for one am sick of living in such a cowardly nation of people so afraid of words. I’m offended as an American patriot and as a content producer!
Second, the #BoycottA&E movement actually signifies something larger. It represents the latest in a series of signs of terminal decay in left’s outrage machine. Prior there was the Chick-Fil-A buycott and then the recent #EatFast buycott in support of entry level fast food workers who SEIU is in the process of exploiting. Buycotts are so much better then boycotts but in this case I’m joining anyway.
Yes, the left’s outrage machine is dying but it wasn’t a murder committed by outside forces. Nope, this is a suicide and it’s been in the making for a long time. Every time the machine was silent while Alec Baldwin went on angry anti-gay tirades, even silent as he was hired by MSNBC after publicly demeaning someone as a “toxic little queen”, they were slitting the wrists of their own credibility on the subject.
The same is true for the race flavor of the outrage machine. Every time they sat silent as conservative blacks were called uncle Toms and tokens by white liberals, they have been tightening the noose around the neck of their own movement.
Good riddance, and #BoycottA&E.

Every version of Islam is bad

The UK Spectator wrote about the trial of the two jihadists who murdered Lee Rigby in Woolwich. But while they do have some good points to raise, it becomes problematic when the writer says that:
...the murder of Drummer Rigby had everything to do with Islam: a nasty, bigoted, backward version of Islam to be sure, but a version of Islam nonetheless.
That's basically implying that "true" Islam isn't backwards, when in fact it is, and the two savages proved it themselves when they quoted from the Koran during the trial. But, this head-in-the-sand act is something we've come to expect from most mainstream news companies.

The jihadists deserve to get a death penalty, but this being a European country, I doubt they'll ever get what they really need to be given.

Dyke Dynasty, Featuring Rachel Maddow

Yeah, the "Arts and Entertainment" network fired the head Duck Hunter for saying he prefers vagina over a man's butthole. But don't worry, they've ALREADY found a replacement:

From I Own The World:

In an interview with Sensible Shoes Magazine, Rachel said the following -
“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a dyke—would be more desirable than a man’s penis That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on! You know what I’m saying? But hey, it’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

Judge orders Obama foreign aid order released

Michelle keeps my balls in a locked tampon drawer

From Politico:

Rejecting one of the Obama White House's most aggressive attempts to preserve executive branch secrecy, a federal judge Tuesday ordered the disclosure of a government-wide foreign-aid directive President Barack Obama signed in 2010 but refused to make public.
The Justice Department asserted that the Presidential Policy Directive on Global Development was covered by executive privilege, even though it is unclassified and reflected standing guidance to agencies rather than advice given to the president.
Acting on a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit brought by the Center for Effective Government, U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Huvelle concluded that the presidential order is not properly within the bounds of the so-called "presidential communications privilege." The judge went further, calling "troubling" the sweeping nature of the government's argument's in the case.
"This is not a case involving 'a quintessential and nondelegable Presidential power' — such as appointment and removal of Executive Branch officials...where separation of powers concerns are at their highest. Instead, the development and enactment of foreign development policy can be and is “exercised or performed without the President’s direct involvement," Huvelle wrote in her opinion (posted here.)
Huvelle noted that she ordered the document delivered to her under seal last month and said she disagreed with the government's contention that the order is "'revelatory of the President's deliberations' such that its public disclosure would undermine future decision-making." She also found that "'the President's ability to communicate his [final] decisions privately' ... is not implicated, since the [order] was distributed far beyond the President’s close advisers and its substance was widely discussed by the President in the media."
"Here there is no evidence that the [directive] was intended to be, or has been treated as, a confidential presidential communication," wrote Huvelle, a Clinton appointee.
The Obama Administration argued that the distribution of the document was restricted to those with a "need to know," but the judge dismissed that contention as "amorphous."
"The government has not, even after plaintiff raised the issue...defined what 'need to know' means," Huvelle wrote.
The judge also suggested the administration had lost sight of the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act and transparency itself.
"The government appears to adopt the cavalier attitude that the President should be permitted to convey orders throughout the Executive Branch without public oversight ... to engage in what is in effect governance by 'secret law,'" Huvelle said.
The White House referred a request for comment on the ruling to the Justice Department, which did not immediately respond to a query about the case.
