According to the Border Patrol reporting (chart above) if you combine fiscal years 2013 and 2014 more than 85,000 “recorded apprehensions” of Unaccompanied Alien Children.    Yet according to EOIR only 41,592 apprehension reports were received for Unaccompanied alien Children over the same time period (chart below)

That’s a difference of 43,000 UAC’s over two years.

What gives ?

It gets better.   Additionally from the article:

…” [...]  EOIR has recorded 20,814 receipts marked as juvenile in fiscal year 2014 as of June 30, but Border Patrol recorded 57,525 apprehensions of unaccompanied alien children during the same time frame.

This means immigration courts have receipts for fewer than four out of every ten unaccompanied alien children apprehended by Border Patrol this fiscal year.

Mattingly said EOIR stands behind the numbers of receipts it has recorded, but would not speak about the difference between the number of juvenile receipts and CBP’s apprehension data”… (link)

That’s a difference of 37,000 UAC’s this year alone.

The NRO article goes on to discuss the discrepancy as a matter of bureaucratic bungling exposing how inept the immigration processing, and/or processers, is/are.    But NRO never stops to ask the question – what if the discrepancy is simply because of FALSE DATA?

Because that false claim, or false data, is exactly what our research indicates.

This entire “crisis” of unaccompanied alien children (UAC’s) is purely trumped up by the White House, and sold by a duplicitous media, to advance a demand for comprehensive immigration reform.

But who would be fudging the numbers to give a false impression of a crisis?
