Oh FFS! Do these people not read the constitution or hire someone who knows how to read? The right to bear arms is NOT a constitutional right, it is a GOD GIVEN right that the government is not allowed to infringe on in any way, shape or form! You dimwit moron with turd for brain! Learn what the constitution is before you run for president. It is a limit on what you in government can do with people's God given rights, not what rights people have. F off!

That sound you hear is a politician afraid of the governed.

I've just signed this petition. Oliver must be a 100% on the Clinton camp, but it would be great to be able to put a lot of pressure on him.

Some will sign, most will not. But that's OK. People get the governments that they deserve.

Yes, it is a God-given right to seek self preservation against the wicked, those with malice and intent to take life.

The Constitution is damn near perfect. Those who would diddle with it are inhumane.

* I am writing about the death of the young teacher in Pakistan (for my media org). Brutally beaten and tortured, doused and incinerated. A hand trained to wield a gun would have provided a different outcome. The right to bear arms can provide righteous outcomes. I especially believe that women need firearms training and the psychological conditioning to not hesitate to fire the shot in a life-threatening scenario. My brother put it best. "Empty the weapon, Tammy. Fire it until they quit twitching."

Not sure the outcome would have been different, she would have had the chance to go down fighting, yes.

If the whole society is corrupt, one gun can not and does not make a difference. There is no comparison between the Islamic culture of Pakistan and the Judeo-Christian culture of the US. I would never advocate letting people arm themselves in Muslim societies. Doesn't matter if they're men or women.

That might sound harsh but more often than not, people in those societies use power to target the innocent, rather than defend themselves.

As for the US constitution, it is only "perfect" (or was, it has changed somewhat with amendments) is because it is unique in the sense that it does not GIVE people any rights, it only states what the government is allowed to do.
