How Trump Negotiated Deal To Keep Carrier American

Check it out:
Carrier was singled out by Trump repeatedly on the campaign trail due to its plan to shutter a US factory and move it to Mexico.
Carrier has now said it's reached a "compromise" and will be keeping almost 1000 jobs in Indiana. (They had until now employed 1,400 there.)
Carrier's mind seems to have been changed by Pence offering some level of subsidy to the company (a tax break or what not; terms are undisclosed) and United Technology -- Carrier's parent corporation -- realizing that their big, huge military contracts might be in jeopardy if they moved the plant out of the US.
GO GET THE WHOLE STORY.

And that, my friends, is how you work out a deal.

Muzzie morals

I checked the Muslim Girl blog to see if someone had made asinine comments on Abdul Razaq Ali Artan.
Somali-American. Your family fled the civil war, much like mine. Your story read like so many others before you, and that made it so much harder to read. You were not a bad person, Abdul Razak.
[Emphasis mine.]
Of course.

Trump: bad.

Abdul Artan (after hitting people with a car and stabbing innocents): not a bad person.
What happened after the Artan family came to the U.S.? Reports say he was born in a refugee camp, and came to the United States two years ago. And so I am asking, who has asked him about the trauma he encountered? You do not escape civil war without psychological trauma. Who welcomed the family? Who took them to counseling? Who made them feel welcome? We rally for refugees but what do we do for the refugees that are less “trendy?” We saw an outpour of support for refugees in this last year. But did we treat refugees from all countries equally? I think we all know the answer to that.
I think she's speaking to the failings of the Muslims in America in this case. Let's take it seriously. The very fact that Artan didn't seek, or wasn't granted, refuge in an Islamic country proves the naivety of her argument. She expects Muslims in America to be welcoming and nice to a black African!

Arabs think of blacks as slaves. They don't mingle with them. Period. One of the funniest videos about the true reality of Muslims went like this: a black dude goes to perform the haj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He's all emotional from the experience as he speaks to the camera. He prays near the Kaaba and then goes outside to stay in one of the tents set up by the government.

Suddenly, a guard stops him. This tent is for Arabs! Your slave-nigger tent is over there. This black guy couldn't believe it. He just prayed with all sorts of people from around the world in one mosque but outside, a kilometer away, there's racial segregation! I'm sure he felt really welcomed.

This is why we have distinct nations. Putting black muzzies next to racist, intolerant non-black muzzies just leads to the detonation of said unpleasant black muzzies. It would be better for Americans to simply not import the die-verse, bloody idiots.

I don't think Muslim Girl expected that logical conclusion to her argument.

MUSLIM BOMBERS PLANNED TO KILL KINDERGARTENERS WITH POISONED ICE CREAM BEFORE BLOWING UP SCHOOL IN GERMANY

The Muslims Are Restless

The two teen jidhadis are on trial for blowing up a Sikh temple in Essen
Letters written from one to the other while in prison revealed the plot
One bomber worked as an ice cream man and plotted to poison his goods
He also suggested crashing a van into the kindergarten or hiding a bomb
He wanted to 'rape the girls of the enemies of the Prophet Muhammad'
The gruesome plan came to light during hearings of two teenage Islamic State fanatics who blew up a Sikh temple in the industrial city of Essen during wedding celebrations.
Mohammed O, 17, one of the temple bombers who carried out the assault in April which wounded four people, planned to sell the toxic ices before blowing himself up in the midst of the children.
A second teen, Yusuf T, 17, was the leader of the so-called Temple bomber group.
The young Salafists first formed their murder gang on Whatsapp and built bombs from ingredients ordered from online retailer Amazon.

The CONTRA-BANNON? The Jeremy Corbin of the D Party who is supported for LEADER by Schumer, Bernie and the ADL??????

Hey ADL, Union of Reformed Jewish Unions, Chuck Schumer, Steve Israel, do I hear you now?
STEVE EMERSON (no less):

In Private Fundraiser, Keith Ellison Said Israel Controls US Policy

Congressman Keith Ellison’s (who also is a BDS supporter, Americans who happen to be Jewish) announcement earlier this month that he wants to be the Democratic National Committee’s next chairman drew quick support from several key lawmakers, including Jewish senators Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders.
Ellison’s backers have also defended him against claims that he may hold antisemitic views, as well as being anti-Israel. A column in Israel’s liberal daily Haaretz quotes two rabbis praising Ellison, as “the best of our constitutional democracy and the best of America” and “an extraordinary leader. Anyone who would associate him with any kind of hatred hasn’t met him and certainly hasn’t worked with him.”
But a 2010 audio of Ellison speaking at a private fundraiser obtained by the Investigative Project on Terrorism calls such praise into question. In a fairly intimate setting, Ellison lashed out at what he sees as Israel’s disproportionate influence in American foreign policy. That will change, he promised:
The United States’ foreign policy in the Middle East is governed by what is good or bad through a country of 7 million people. A region of 350 million all turns on a country of 7 million. Does that make sense? Is that logic? Right? When the Americans who trace their roots back to those 350 million get involved, everything changes. Can I say that again?

“When the Americans who trace their roots back to those 350 million get involved, everything changes.”

Do we all get it?

__________

The fundraiser for Ellison’s re-election campaign was hosted by Esam Omeish, a past president of the Muslim American Society (MAS), who was forced to resign from a Virginia state immigration panel in 2007 after an exclusive IPT videotape showed him praising Palestinians for choosing the “the jihad way … to liberate your land.” Omeish was a candidate for Virginia’s general assembly the previous year, and Ellison spoke at a fundraiser for that losing effort.
In his 2010 remarks, Ellison described Omeish as “my beloved brother” and said, “I love you and you are the best and your family is so beautiful and again, you know, you put it out there. You ran. And I hope you run again.”
Also present at the fundraiser was Nihad Awad, a co-founder and executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and a member of a Muslim Brotherhood-created Hamas support network in America known as the Palestine Committee.
Ellison’s comments about Israeli political influence do not appear to be a poor choice of words. A year earlier, as conflict raged between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, Ellison told Al Jazeera that the people who have a strong sympathy for the Israeli position dominate the conversation. It is really not politically safe to say there have been two sides to this.”
A month later, Ellison told the BBC that outreach to Hamas was not feasible for a member of Congress — not because it is a terrorist organization with an antisemitic charter demanding Israel’s destruction — but because it is too politically risky.
What I can tell you now is that the constellation of political forces in the United States at this moment would make a member of Congress who has reached out directly to Hamas spend all their time defending that decision and would not be able to deal with other critical issues that need to be focused on. So for example if I were to make a move like that I wouldn’t be able to focus my attention on the humanitarian issue. I’d have to defend myself to my colleagues why I reached out to a terrorist organization. It would absorb all of my time. I would spend a lot of time fighting off personal attack and would not be able to achieve goals that I have.

Just after the 2009 Gaza war, Ellison was among 22 House members to vote “present” rather than take a stand on a nonbinding House resolution “recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza, reaffirming the United States’ strong support for Israel, and supporting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.” Ellison claimed he was “torn” on the resolution, because it “barely mentions the human suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.”
Ellison long has demanded that Israel open its borders to Gaza, arguing that economic aid and development would help ease tensions and resulting violence. In 2010, he authored a letter signed by 53 House colleagues, which called on President Obama to pressure Israel into opening the border.
Ellison described the blockade as “collective punishment” on Gaza residents.
He re-upped the argument in a 2014 Washington Post oped, which was written during new conflict between Israel and Hamas. Hamas terrorists provoked that war by kidnapping and murdering three teenagers and by launching thousands of rockets at Israeli civilian areas.
But Ellison argued that peace would come with economic relief in Gaza and said that an end to the blockade should be part of any ceasefire.
“The status quo for ordinary Gazans is a continuation of no jobs and no freedom,” he wrote. “This is not an attractive future. Gazans want and deserve the dignity of economic opportunity and freedom to move.”
The restrictions on imports to Gaza were aimed at curbing the flow of materials sent to Hamas to build rockets, bombs and other tools for terrorism. Israel allows humanitarian aid into the territory. But Hamas continues to divert millions of dollars in aid and supplies that could be used to improve daily life in order to dig more attack tunnels and restock its terrorist arsenal.
While Ellison has said that “Hamas must give up its rockets and other weapons” to achieve peace, he was one of only eight House members to vote against increasing funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense program. Even though the system successfully intercepted dozens of Hamas rockets during the war, especially those aimed at population centers, Ellison said the proposal was objectionable because “the US government needs to be prioritizing a ceasefire between the two sides.”
These statements and countless others should concern DNC officials. Any chairperson’s job will include efforts to preserve and maintain the party’s support from American Jews. Exit polling indicates an estimated 71 percent of Jewish voters supported Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.
Jewish leaders either don’t know the extent of Ellison’s relationship with Islamist groups like CAIR or of his consistent criticism of Israeli actions, especially in response to Hamas terror — or they do not care. Jonathan Greenblatt, the Anti-Defamation League’s chief executive, issued a statement last week saying that Ellison “is a man of good character” and “an important ally in the fight against anti-Semitism and for civil rights.”
As we have shown, he’s also a man who believes that Jewish interests disproportionately influence American foreign policy.
During last summer’s national convention, Ellison and other delegates supporting Sanders wanted the Democratic Party platform to delete a description of Jerusalem as Israel’s “undivided capital,” and wanted to gut language opposing the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement targeting the Jewish sState.
Those efforts failed, but would have more support in an Ellison-run DNC.
Support for Terror
In addition to seeing Israel as controlling US government policy, Ellison has supported prominent Islamists targeted for their direct support for Palestinian terrorist organizations.
During a 2008 radio interview, Ellison praised Sami Al-Arian. Years earlier, evidence admitted into a Federal court showed that Al-Arian served on the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Shura council — in essence, its board of directors. Despite this fact, Ellison said he wished “that Dr. Al-Arian and his family have peace, have justice, and are able to secure a greater quality of justice for their case,” saying that there were “some things about his case that I think raise legitimate questions.”
Similarly, Ellison expressed frustration at the 2007 terrorist financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, and five of its former officials. The charity, shut down by the Treasury Department in 2001, funneled millions of dollars to Hamas through a network of Palestinian charities that the terrorist group controlled.
But after a trial ended with a hung jury on most counts, Ellison blasted the case as “persecution” during remarks at a CAIR fundraising banquet in Anaheim, California. CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the case, in part due to internal Palestine Committee documents showing that CAIR was part of the Muslim Brotherhood’s US network from the moment of its 1994 inception.
“And the worst of it was not that these people’s lives were disrupted, their reputations were tarnished,” Ellison said. “The worst of it was that [300] other organizations were tossed in to the mix of it all as they were listed as unindicted co-conspirators. No evidence to be found that they had done anything. So here is what we have today. Three hundred reputable civil rights organizations, including CAIR, put on a list they never should have been put on in a case where they had been thoroughly exonerated. It’s time to call an end to wasting taxpayer money in this manner. There have been other prosecutions for Muslim charities and we’ve come up with nothing at all when it comes to convictions in these cases. It’s time for us to call a stop to this selective prosecution. It’s time to say that our justice system and our prosecutors and our police officers are here to investigate crime for the sake of public safety, not to pursue a political agenda.”
The Holy Land defendants were retried in 2008, with jurors convicting the defendants on all counts. Ellison did not comment.
In 2009, Ellison made the pilgrimage to Mecca known as the Hajj. His travels were financed by the Muslim American Society (MAS), which insiders have acknowledged is the Muslim Brotherhood’s overt arm in the United States.
Little Tolerance For Dissenting Views
When it comes to Muslims who may not share the Islamist ideology of MAS, CAIR and others, Ellison is quick-tempered and hostile.
He walked out of a 2009 Capitol Hill panel discussion with Zuhdi Jasser, founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, after falsely accusing Jasser of giving “people license for bigotry,” and “to engage in nothing less than Muslim-hating.”
Jasser’s “sin” was to criticize the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and advocate for “a separation between mosque and state.”
Similarly, Ellison dramatically lashed out during a 2011 House hearing on Islamic radicalization. Even though the panel included a Muslim father of an American who became a terrorist, Ellison fought back tears talking about a Muslim first responder killed at the World Trade Center on 9/11.
Simply holding the hearing was tantamount to assigning blame for a terrorist’s “violent actions to the entire community,” he said. “You assign collective blame to the entire group.”
Ellison has spoken at at least a dozen CAIR fundraising events since 2006, records show. In addition, the IPT has learned that Ellison privately consults with CAIR for talking points and suggestions about pending actions and hearings before the House.
It’s little wonder that, in 2014, CAIR honored Ellison with its “Muslim of the Year” award.
Jasser recently devoted his weekly podcast to Ellison’s DNC candidacy. “A DNC run by a Congressman Ellison, I think, will become very dangerous,” Jasser said. That’s in part due to Ellison’s support for Saudi Arabia, despite that country’s strict Wahhabi ideology and its prominent role financing the spread of a radical interpretation of Islam globally. Ellison is also a frequent fundraiser for CAIR, and is supportive of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation — an umbrella group for 57 majority-Muslim nations that support global blasphemy laws outlawing criticism of religion.
Ellison “racializes” Islam, Jasser said, as part of a broader reliance on identity politics. “Islam is not a race. It’s an idea. An idea, by the way, that includes ideas loathe to the Democratic Party” such as severe restrictions on women and the death penalty for homosexuality. But by making criticism of Islam, or of those who want to apply it political, critics can be dismissed as bigots.
Jasser recounted his 2009 debate with Ellison and the 2011 radicalization hearing in which Ellison engaged in “character assassination of us as witnesses. And the fact that we were Muslim did not seem to matter to him.”
That is one point on which Jasser and Ellison agree. Two weeks after the hearing, Ellison spoke at a University of Michigan-Dearborn event sponsored by the school’s Muslim Students Association (MSA) chapter. Like CAIR, MAS and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the MSA was founded by Muslim Brotherhood members in the United States. The MSA’s internal records show that the Brotherhood acknowledges the connection.
Ellison dismissed Jasser and Abdirizak Bihi, the uncle of a radicalized Somali American from the Minneapolis area who died after joining the al-Shabaab terrorist group by saying, “some Muslim guys who, you know, who basically are angry at their community to go say a bunch of anecdotal things about … how good they are and how bad we are.”
Ellison’s record is clear. He raises money for some of the country’s most deceptive Islamist groups and works with them to advance their causes. He singles out Israel for criticism and believes that the Jewish State enjoys disproportionate control over American foreign policy.
And he wants to lead one of America’s two major political parties.

Just roll over and die already, Germany.

Muslim Brotherhood Operative Caught in German Intelligence Services

From ABC News:
Germany's domestic intelligence service says an employee suspected of trying to pass along sensitive material to Islamic extremists had only been working for the agency for a short time.
The agency, known as the BfV, told The Associated Press the 51-year-old German man started "not long ago" and had "been inconspicuous during the application process, training and at work."
The agency wouldn't provide further details, but Germany's Der Spiegel magazine reported Wednesday the former banker joined the agency in April and was tasked to watch Islamic extremists himself. The magazine reported that he attempted to provide information in an extremist chat room online, but his chat partner turned out to be a BfV agent himself and caught him.
Spiegel reports the man was a recent convert to Islam.
Germany caught him fast.

Meanwhile, we still haven't caught the Muslim Brotherhood operative in our government:

London: Police hold major anti-terror exercise at Canary Wharf shopping centre as fears rise of Christmas jihadi attack

The west entrance to the London Underground station was closed during the exercise.
It comes 24 hours after it was revealed that anti-terror patrols were to start in London as police attempt to deter and disrupt extremist activity.
Uniformed and undercover officers, along with dog teams and boat units, will become more visible in a tactic police say is proven to undermine terrorists and criminal gangs.
Just one of the minor inconveniences we put up with for the pleasure of living with all these Moderate Muslims who are our friends and neighbors.

Today's (first?) real fake news story, and from where else?

NYT:

How Stable Are Democracies? ‘Warning Signs Are Flashing Red’

Go read it but here is the gist - an investigation of how contemporary European nations were struggling to construct new, multicultural national identities (against the will of the people), found  a populist backlash was rising. But was that just a new kind of politics, or a symptom of something deeper?

The study cries 'the PEOPLE are the problem'.

Failure to accept foreign cultures as part of forming a new potential VOTING plurality, when rulers decree massive, percentage wise immigration, is, to these investigators, indicative of a threat to democracy.

In fact, it DOES, but not in the way they think. Then these guys use Venezuela as an example, couching Chavez as a military (right wing???) interloper and then blaming him for that most horrid of things, POPULISM. You know, when the troglodytes and untermenschen dare to imagine rather than accept their roles. THE MONEY LINE:
“It’s not just about what Trump will do to the E.P.A.,” he said, referring to the Environmental Protection Agency. “It really is that Trump may try to undermine liberal democracy in the United States.”
Missing from this analysis (clearly from the left) is that the systems are FAILING BECAUSE they no longer represent the people EXISTING IN THE DEMOCRACIES. The underlying assumption here is that all people from all places have the RIGHT to be in your place with your rights and change the way you live day to day, and if you resist this ideology, you are against open democracies (or do I dare say an OPEN SOCIETY?)

Democracy fails when the governing people form an insular technocratic class acting in a manner in which they feel the populace just doesn't know what's best for them. In other words when they no longer represent the people. It's that simple.

Reaction to that very failure is NOT a warning sign for democracies, it is a sign of vibrant health. These FOOLISH people mistake stability for democracy. They are not the same. A REAL democracy is continually redefining itself, is ready to do so, has plenty of thinkers AT THE BASE, and is unafraid of change.

RULERS FEAR CHANGE.

Democracies are always inherently UNSTABLE. Democracies are always potentially revolutionary societies. That's the whole trick of self govt.

Be ready to change. Don't become a mob. Secure individual rights.

OF THOSE LEGALLY PRESENT, AND INVITED IN.

If this was easy TRAINED DOGS COULD DO IT.

When you hear the word POPULISM, it is intended to DENIGRATE this process of REFORMING the elected representatives, who have become self-loving, privileged, and arrogant in their self assurance of rightness.

As far as the expression that democracy is the best system, or NOT, I give you the Islamist former 'president' of Pakistan, Zia ul Haq, who asked Barbara Walters (1980's) on TV, in  a profile interview all Americans could see:

'Barbara, what makes you think democracy is either the best, or final system of government for mankind?'
We all NOW know the danger (to us) he was speaking of, don't we?

And it wasn't populism, or people of democracies being insistent their rights and expectations of representation, and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL IN THEIR NATION, remains intact .. WAS IT?

The NYT has demonstrated it does not publish news unless it is warped into this kind of presentation, anything else is truly exceptional. You know ... always have a grain of truth at the heart of the dizinformaziya, just as the SUCCESSFUL KGB did.

In this case an academic study by those who think 'It really is that Trump may try to undermine liberal democracy in the United States.' was used as that grain, and then imagined that the loss of faith that the rights and freedoms of the people in democracies was being respected by their rulers, as a criterion that democracy itself was failing.

NO, the LEADERS have failed in that very measure.

The result is fake news.

White House Warns Against Blaming Islam After Ohio State Jihad Attack

From Breitbart:
THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION IS WARNING AMERICANS NOT TO CAST BLAME ON MUSLIMS AFTER A STUDENT AT OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY LAUNCHED AN ATTACK ON INNOCENT CIVILIANS THAT WAS LIKELY INSPIRED BY ISLAMIC STATE TERRORISTS.
“Our response to this situation matters,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest explained to reporters during the press briefing.
“If we respond to this situation by casting aspersions on millions of people that adhere to a particular religion or if we increase our suspicion of people who practice a particular religion, we are more likely going to contribute to acts of violence than we are to prevent them.”
Earnest said that although there was evidence that the attacker might have been inspired by extremism, his motives were still under investigation.
Law enforcement investigators have pinpointed the attacker as “likely inspired by ISIS” according to a CNN report release after the White House press briefing.
The attacker posted a message on Facebook that law enforcement officials have released to the public. “By Allah, we will not let you sleep unless you give peace to the Muslims. You will not celebrate or enjoy any holiday,” he wrote before the attack. “Btw, every single Muslim who disapproves of my actions is a sleeper cell, waiting for a signal. I am warning you Oh America.”
On Tuesday, the ISIS news agency Amaq claimed the attacker was “a soldier of God,” according to the New Yorker, and might have been inspired by the Islamic State’s terrorist manual.

Romney after meeting with Trump: 'America's best days are ahead of us'

From The Hill:
Mitt Romney praised Donald Trump as the man who can steer the U.S. toward a better future, but did not comment on reports that he is being considered for secretary of State, after the two had dinner Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters in New York City after dining with Trump Tuesday night, Romney, the 2012 presidential nominee, said the two discussed world affairs during their "enlightening" conversations, but he did not say whether he was offered or discussed the Cabinet position.
For the majority of his remarks, Romney commended the President-elect's growing Cabinet and transition efforts. "I have to tell you, I've been impressed with what I've seen in the transition.
The people he's selected as members of his Cabinet are solid, effective, capable people," Romney said, naming off several of Trump's selections.
"I think you're going to see America continue to lead the world in this century, and what I've seen through these discussions I've had with President-elect Trump, as well as what we've seen in his speech the night of his victory, as well as people he's selected as part of his transition, all of those combined give me increasing hope that President-elect Trump is the very man that can lead us to that better future," Romney said.
He added: "I happen to think America's best days are ahead of us."

THE LEFT LOVES NATIONALISM, When It Is Instituted By A Socialist Revolutionary

George Kerevan, an MP from the Scottish National Party, (whose platform includes Gay Marriage, Socialized Housing, Progressive Taxation, and Nuclear disarmament) remembers the positives about Fidel Castro.

From the Spectator:
The truth is that we can’t build a better society unless we build it on consent, which means democracy. Yet, there are great positive lessons to be learned from Castro’s Cuba. He managed to link national identity and national independence with a progressive, socialist project. The result, with all its deformations, was a society that delivered more than the other Latin states, and for most people.
Combing National Independence with a Progressive, Socialist project, huh?

In the old days, we called that National Socialism.

And the most famous National Socialist party was the National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly referred to in English as the Nazi Party.

Hmm. Let's give it a try, huh?

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued thousands of duplicate green cards to immigrants, including many that include incorrect information and allow these individuals to stay longer than permitted in the United States, according to a new government oversight report that warns the Department of Homeland Security is incapable of tracking immigrants who may pose a security risk to the United States.

USCIS, which handles immigration cases and the distribution of green cards, was found to have produced at least 19,000 green cards during the past three years that were duplicates or contained incorrect information, according to a new report by the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general.
