It is good to reflect that across America there are tens of thousands of small towns and cities that are quiet and there is no violence nor desire to do the things that are being done in other locales.
We have a curfew. But there has not been anything of note. In fact, I do not think we have even had a protest.
The criminal elements of society are on the streets. The rest of us just want them to be dispatched to jail and await their trials.
The problem is that law enforcement cannot appear to be too heavy-handed since the violence began when an act of violence by a police officer caused the death of an American. Tensions are inflamed. That is for sure.
Yes, that is a good summation of the truth of our situation.
