The original 12 authors of the "The Freedom Manifesto" now have bounties on their heads. I also signed it here and am proud to be a part of supporting their courageous efforts. Until we all have bounties on our heads and are willing to take the risks associated with fighting for freedom will we have the required unity to truely win this war.

I know not everyone is comfortable putting their names onto this petition supporting the Manifesto but I really feel it is time for people to stand up and be counted.

The pro-freedom demonstrations are now starting in the west and the US colleges are finally beginning to examine the cartoon controversy.

Now is the time to act.

The Freedom Manifesto petition is aiming for 100,000 signatures and are averaging about 100 new signatures per day. Please sign up today.

Not being willing to subjugate to any form of totalitarianism is not racist or fanatical.

I would argue that totalitarianism IS fanatical.

Like crying wolf, the standard racist accusation has lost its soul. A little creativity may be in order.

Hmm, I guess I am going to do something for people to read what I write ;)

And to this "anonymus": racist=who hate a race.
a) Muslims are not a race, but the people who believe in a religion, the Islam.
b) We do not hate Muslims, but there are some Muslims who hate you and me because of Freedom. If you do not see that then you are really blind.
c) I do not know how a manifesto against people who wants to impose on you and me a manner of thinking and a way to believe in God and in eternity, can be something against freedom.

I have been taking a break recently and had missed your post, as well as many others. Your post came just as I started up again. Again, so sorry!

I really like your summary posts of the news from Europe! They really help me stay on top of things on that side of the world.

What about posting the Freedom Manifesto Petition periodically to further help the cause? With the frequency of posts on this blog, it is easy for it to get lost. Maybe we can take turns. :)

My meaning is this.....

On September 11, 2001 thousands of people lost their lives in a brutal assault on the American people and the American form of government. We mourn the loss of these innocent lives and insist that those who perpetrated these acts be held accountable. We have also lost lives before and after 9/11.

I have been in the military for some time now and I have seen what bullets can do. It is a very nasty business sometimes and I wish we didn't have to put our people in harms way.

So when someone says, before talking about freedom, know what it really means....

I must say that I have and will continue to answer the call not because someone asked me to, but because I want to because Freedom is very near and dear to me.

For anyone to have tasted it and lose it, is a tragedy. For someone to have never had the opportunity to enjoy freedom, does not know what it really is.

You see, I know what the cost of freedom is....I live and breathe it everyday.

To say I am over my head, with these forums, may be true. I don't make a living with a pen or a keyboard. I do it with other things.

I do, however, appreciate the people that do.

So please do not take my silence or lack of words as a way of engaging in a seemingly mystical non-sequitur way.

I agree with everything you said in that comment.

When you first came here it sounded like you were admonishing us.

And, honestly, as much as I support our efforts in the war, I don't take very kindly to being told that I don't know what freedom is.

I don't put my life on the line like you do, but believe me there are people who would like to kill me, and the others at this site, just as surely as there are people who would like to kill you.

So, I think we know a little bit about the preciousness of freedom too.

So, I take it you weren't telling me that I don't understand.

At least I hope not.

And, by the way, I don't know of any racists at this site.

No, I wasn't saying you or anyone didn't understand. I was asking that person to not preach about freedom to me. I deal with people everyday that don't agree with the US Mil. You don't have to agree, just show some support. It means a lot to us.

Sometimes I come off a little brittle. Don't mean too.

We are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe.
