So Begins The European Street Revolt Against Islam

I have been predicting for a long time that, because the governments of Europe are AWOL on protecting their citizens, eventually the citizens would begin to take matters into their own hands. Within the past few years we have seen incidents of mosques being torched and Muslims being beaten, but I consider those to be the work of hooligans and thus, not a real expression of mainstream European outrage.

It is hard to deny, however, that this incident upon a British airliner is not the work of mainstream Brits:

British holidaymakers staged an unprecedented mutiny - refusing to allow their flight to take off until two men they feared were terrorists were forcibly removed.

The extraordinary scenes happened after some of the 150 passengers on a Malaga-Manchester flight overheard two men of Asian appearance apparently talking Arabic.

Passengers told cabin crew they feared for their safety and demanded police action. Some stormed off the Monarch Airlines Airbus A320 minutes before it was due to leave the Costa del Sol at 3am. Others waiting for Flight ZB 613 in the departure lounge refused to board it.

The incident fuels the row over airport security following the arrest of more than 20 people allegedly planning the suicide-bombing of transatlantic jets from the UK to America. It comes amid growing demands for passenger-profiling and selective security checks.

It also raised fears that more travellers will take the law into their own hands - effectively conducting their own 'passenger profiles'.

Websites used by pilots and cabin crew were yesterday reporting further incidents. In one, two British women with young children on another flight from Spain complained about flying with a bearded Muslim even though he had been security-checked twice before boarding.

The trouble in Malaga flared last Wednesday as two British citizens in their 20s waited in the departure lounge to board the pre-dawn flight and were heard talking what passengers took to be Arabic. Worries spread after a female passenger said she had heard something that alarmed her.

Passengers noticed that, despite the heat, the pair were wearing leather jackets and thick jumpers and were regularly checking their watches.

Initially, six passengers refused to board the flight. On board the aircraft, word reached one family. To the astonishment of cabin crew, they stood up and walked off, followed quickly by others.

The Monarch pilot - a highly experienced captain - accompanied by armed Civil Guard police and airport security staff, approached the two men and took their passports.

Half an hour later, police returned and escorted the two Asian passengers off the jet.
'There was no fuss or panic'

Soon afterwards, the aircraft was cleared while police did a thorough security sweep. Nothing was found and the plane took off - three hours late and without the two men on board.

Monarch arranged for them to spend the rest of the night in an airport hotel and flew them back to Manchester later on Wednesday.

College lecturer Jo Schofield, her husband Heath and daughters Emily, 15, and Isabel, 12, were caught up in the passenger mutiny.

Mrs Schofield, 38, said: "The plane was not yet full and it became apparent that people were refusing to board. In the gate waiting area, people had been talking about these two, who looked really suspicious with their heavy clothing, scruffy, rough, appearance and long hair.

"Some of the older children, who had seen the terror alert on television, were starting to mutter things like, 'Those two look like they're bombers.'

"Then a family stood up and walked off the aircraft. They were joined by others, about eight in all. We learned later that six or seven people had refused to get on the plane.

"There was no fuss or panic. People just calmly and quietly got off the plane. There were no racist taunts or any remarks directed at the men.

"It was an eerie scene, very quiet. The children were starting to ask what was going on. We tried to play it down."

Yes, and I predict things will get eerier and eerier. Eventually, whole governments will fall to such eeriness. And, if they don't step down peacefully, well then ...

Just try it, you Belgian bureaucrats. Just you see what will happen.

Pastorius,
You've been speaking of the underlying frustration of various infidels. And here it is!

We need more of this.

Yeah, check out my amended post. the comment at the end is expanded.

IBA is keeping our eye on the Belgian government. I've warned them. They will eventually leave office.

If the british government isn't seen by its citizens to be taking a stronger stand, we may start seeing muslim-only flights, if no one is willing to ride with them.

And notice how the article continually refers to them as "asian" men..? Were they burmese, chinese, japanese, pakistani, afghani...? Pretty broad description, given the seriousness of the story.

I remember back before 9/11, I heard a news report from the BBC on the local Public TV station that "Asian men" were rioting in Birmingham, England.

I looked at my wife, who is Asian, and asked her what these Asians might be rioting about. Was the government getting more strict about issuing Liqour store licenses?

Later I figured out "Asian" is the polite British euphemism for Muslim.

Nuff said.

..."Asian" is the polite British euphemism for Muslim.

Yeah, we were just talking about that at this thursday's meeting , in connection with another story.
It's a convenient hedge, that's for sure.
I found that in an earlier version of the story, the paper was describing them quite differently:

"The two men, thought to be aged in their 20s and of middle eastern appearance , were escorted off the plane by airport police. "

How can you fight a war if you can't name the enemy?

Pastorius said...

Felix,

You shoot in the dark, and hope you hit someone who is the enemy, I guess.

Now, you see, that is not what I want to see happen. That is why I warn. Look back over the history of CUANAS and IBA. My warnings have been of this sort. My dear Muslims, you must understand that if you don't stand and be counted as moderate, then when bad times come down we will not know how to differentiate moderates from radicals. Here are some suggestions, come to us at our churches, temples and synagogues and invite us out to your mosque for a day of rounding up all the hate literature and carting it down to the recycling center, etc.

This is how my call has been made. I know I am a small blogger. But, I have put the message out hoping that if there is any good will out there it will be heard and it will spread.

I have seen no evidence of it spreading. I have seen no evidence that a moderate Muslim contingency is standing up.

There are no major political organizations, media outlets, or governments to represent moderate Muslims anywhere in the world, in the Islamic world, or here in the West.

Moderate Muslims had better realize that they are completely un-represented. They are isolated. That is a very bad position to be in when the going gets rough. You will have no friends to rely on. Well, you will have your radical Muslim brothers. They will accept you, but is that who you want to be behind you?

Anyway, Reliapundit, thank you for your comment. I hope your prediction does not come true, but I fear that it will.

If what reliapundit predicts comes true (and I believe it will) then the fault lies with our governments and bureaucrats, not with ordinary people who would much prefer to just get on with their lives.
The message before every election--to the candidates--must be: are you prepared to do what's necessary to protect us and our way of life?
Any weasel answers, any hedging their bets and they're toast.

How about a "pledge card" for politicians to sign?
Something along the lines of a series of questions. No sign, no vote.
1) do you regard Western civilisation as the best hope for people to live in prosperity and freedom?
2) are you prepared to support whatever action is necessary to defend that civilisation?

and so on down the list.

ROP,
"Strangers on My Flight." Bwahahahaha!

Pastorius,
I think no matter how hard the media and the political elites try to bury the truth, we all know who the enemy is.

Yes. I attribute some of the understanding to the cartoonifada.

While I don't want to see the reprisals spoken of, this delay--if delay it is--of moderate Muslims stepping forth will reap the whirlwind.

Kris,

Have you noticed Brussels Journal hasn't been posting for the last five days?

I wonder what's up.

If they do put on Muslim-only flights, they had better make sure the flight decks are heavily barricaded.
