Winds of War: Who Would Have ‘Thunk’ It?

From The Gathering Storm
The Irish Examiner reported that “an anti-terrorism team bringing together the US, France and four other countries to fight al-Qaida has been based in Paris since 2003.

Paris? France? Will wonders never cease!

“The reported mission, codenamed Alliance Base, was first divulged in a July 2005 story by the Washington Post. However, officials have never confirmed the operation’s existence. But France-Info radio said yesterday it had access to documents that refer to the creation of the secret cell in the first half of 2003 – the height of US-French tensions over the Iraq war and the US war on terror. The radio station said the base was made up of secret agents from six countries: the US, with the CIA and the FBI represented; Britain, with MI5 and MI6 agents; Canada, Australia, Germany and France. The cell was funded in part by the CIA, it said.”

Read it all in wonderment.

So, is anything constructive going on there, or are they just sitting around, eating french pastries all day? I wouldn't be too surprised if this were the case.

And for god sakes, let's reveal ALL of our secret bases against the enemy. It really sickens me.

Further commenting on this, my wife said this about the pope:

"The pope, say around a hundred years ago, would NEVER back down from ANY statement that he made - especially if it was the truth."

This goes to show how the gradual pussification of our world leaders is becoming when it comes down to the fight against Islamofascism. We have got to get TOUGHER and less APOLOGETIC if we are to win this war.

You know what is silly about the Pope's apologizing is that he hasn't said he's sorry for anything but the offense. So, what good is that. All it does is make him look afraid of the consequences of what he has said.
