The Muslim Final Solution

The Muslim Final Solution

It's all so disgusting and heinous. Stunning how a hate as old as time finds new and enthusiastic cheerleading murderers with every new generation. From the IRIS blog;

Finally, some publicity for the extensive Muslim enablement of the Final Solution, thanks to Max Boot:

It is worth noting that Muslims were not as blameless in the genocide of the Jews as Ahmadinejad and his ilk would have it. Arabs were, on a small scale, cheerleadersNazi_muslimmufti2_1 and enablers of the Final Solution. The most famous example was Haj Amin Husseini, the grand mufti of Jerusalem (and uncle of Yasser Arafat), who took refuge in Berlin in World War II. A rabid Nazi, he personally lobbied Hitler to kill as many Jews as possible and even helped out by recruiting Bosnian Muslims to serve in the Waffen SS.

Robert Satloff, one of the world's smartest Arabists, reveals other links between the Arabs and the Holocaust in his groundbreaking new book, "Among the Righteous: Lost Stories from the Holocaust's Long Reach Into Arab Lands." He shows how the Nazis set up the machinery of death in North Africa. Although "only" 4,000 to 5,000 Jews died before the Allies liberated the area in 1943, many more were consigned to forced labor camps in hellish conditions.

"Arabs played a role at every level," Satloff wrote. "Some went door to door with the Germans, pointing out Jews for arrest. Others led Jewish workers on forced marches or served as overseers at labor camps."

Nazis are still revered by Muslims. See, for example, Hitler Wins Palestinian Primary.

U.S. intelligence monitoring international links to Saudi nuclear program

abdullah_at_UN.jpg

The Al Saud with nukes?
The Hojatieh with nukes?

GOOD, because nomatter how Al Qaeda and the Pasdaran cooperate in mass murder, the Al Saud and the Shia will only have murder in mind for each other.

GO FOR IT....

Gertz.......

WASHINGTON — The United States has questioned the need for a Saudi Arabian nuclear energy program in its first expression of concern about the Saudis' plans.

In 2003, Saudi Arabia signed an agreement with Pakistan for nuclear cooperation. Officials said the intelligence community believes that Riyad financed much, if not all, of Pakistan's nuclear weapons efforts.

The U.S. intelligence community has long been monitoring Saudi nuclear efforts. For more than a decade, Riyadh has been seeking ways to deter Iran's nuclear program, expected to produce atomic bombs over the next two years.

"One early danger is that the [Saudi] kingdom is close to acquiring nuclear weapons rather than continuing to rely on the longstanding security guarantees and understanding of successive administrations in Washington," said Simon Henderson, a leading U.S. analyst on GCC states.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Henderson said that in November a Saudi official privately warned that the kingdom would not tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran. Henderson said Riyad has already invited North Korea to build what could be nuclear facilities in the desert.

Christmas message to the danes

The infamous imam Abu Laban, well-known for the fake mohammed pictures last winter, is appearing in one of the biggest danish news-papers today with this message on the front-page.

I think you get the message even if you don’t read danish: ‘Your christmas is perverse’.
Laban is a refugee from the Middle-east, where he was persecuted for his Moslim-brotherhood opinions. Denmark has given this person asylum, and this is his way of gratitude (along with the cartoon case).

Storm Track Appeasement: Women Must Adapt to Rape in Norway

From The Gathering Storm

The dhimmitude in Norway knows no bounds. Fjordman reports in the Brussels Journal that the number of rapes in the Norwegian capital Oslo is six times as high as in New York City.

There has been an explosive increase in the number of rape charges in the city of Oslo, but both the media and the authorities consistently refuse to tell us why. They did do so, however, in 2001, when two out of Norway's three largest newspapers, Aftenposten and Dagbladet, reported that most of these rape charges involve an immigrant perp, which again mostly means Muslims. Both newspapers have since then conveniently “forgotten” about this, and have never connected the issue to Muslim immigration although the number of rape charges has continued to rise to historic levels. They are thus at best guilty of extreme incompetence, since their former articles about this issue are still available online. Norway’s Minister of Justice from 2001 to 2005, Odd Einar Dørum, mentioned the problem in 2001 but has later gone quiet about the issue. The reported number of rapes in Oslo is now six – 6! – times as high per capita as in New York City, yet the media keeps warning against Islamophobia.
You would think that some one, anyone in the Norway’s elite would respond to such an epidemic. Right? Well, here’s what Unni Wikan, a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, in 2001 said. She’s a women by the way.
“Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes” because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. The professor’s conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but the exact opposite: “Norwegian women must realize that we live in a Multicultural society and adapt themselves to it.”
Got that ladies? Wiken says just lay back and enjoy it. After all, you ‘live in a Multicultural society and must adapt to it’.

Truth Aversion Works Best

“Most modern branches of Islam, however, stress the inner, spiritual jihad.”

Source: Microsoft Encarta Encylopedia 2007

No empirical or any evidence at all cited for this statement. No statistics? No survey of Islamic scholars? Why not?

This statement could be in itself extremely critical to world affairs. If this were true, then why isn’t Microsoft Encyclopaedia quoted to the Muslim community the world over? Tis obviously an authoritative source.

Are we to assume a fundamentalist of Sunni, or, Shia, Islam, empirically equivocates jihad with inner spiritual struggle?

I cant help but think, what a load of bollocks. If I were fundamentalist Sunni or Shia, I would reply, actually the greater jihad is to defend Islam. However, I cannot as I [insert worldly excuse here]

There's certainly room for debate. However, this stressing for spiritual jihad -- where is it? Here's a a great text on Jihad by Young Muslims, a Canadian Muslim group with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood.

It seems the most prominent information on Jihad from Islamic sources on the internet is not spiritual in nature - but armed warfare.

The Roncesvalles Christmas Raffle

Do you know Google Trends -- 'See what the world is searching for'?

Google Trends analyzes Google web searches and figures out how many searches have been done for the terms one enters relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. Then graph with the results are shown, one for cities, one for regions, and one for languages.

If one enters, for example, Weißbier, one will see Munich for city because Munich is the capital of Weißbier.

If one enters, for example, Wiener and Schnitzel, one will see Vienna for city, because Vienna is the capital of Wiener Schnitzel.

If one enters, for example, Blue and Grass, one will see Lexington, Kentucky for city, because Lexington is the capital of Blue Grass.

Question: Which city will one see if one enters Lolita and sex?

Go to Roncesvalles and win a fascinating prize!

Islam and Greens Go Postal

Guest Editorial by Edward Cline:

At the end of my last commentary, I quoted from Sparrowhawk Virginia burgess Patrick Henry prefacing his introduction of the Stamp Act Resolves in May 1765, then remarked:

The historical irony is that when Henry made his speech, the Wahhabist Saudis were engaged in the conquest of the Arabian Peninsula, which they completed in 1806. Who could have predicted then that their descendents and their hired fellaheen would invade America two and half centuries later with the express purpose of gagging the likes of Henry in the name of Allah?

That was in relation to the request of CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) that the Fox TV network disclaim any “negative” portrayal of Muslims in its popular program “24.”

CAIR, as I discussed in that commentary, has been busy with legal activism in the spirit of the ACLU. As though to underscore my Patrick Henry remarks, on December 19th the Muslim “civil liberties” organization has demanded that Republican representative Virgil Goode of Virginia apologize to “members of the Muslim community in his district” for “anti-Muslim” remarks in a private letter to the head of the local Sierra Club. (See CAIR’s website under “news releases.”)

Goode wrote, in reaction to the expressed wish of newly elected Muslim representative Keith Ellison of Minnesota to be sworn into office on a Koran:

I do not subscribe to using the Koran in any way. The Muslim Representative from Minnesota was elected by the voters of that district and if American citizens don’t wake up and adopt the Virgil Goode position on immigration there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Koran.

That is Virgil Goode’s position, and he may say what he pleases. He is probably one of those who believe that America was founded on Christian principles, and that any elected official, in any level of government, should be sworn into office with a hand on a Bible. In practice, it may as well be a chunk of the Blarney Stone. I don’t believe any elected or appointed official over the last century has ever strictly “upheld the Constitution.” If any had, would we be saddled with a wealth-consuming, rights-violating welfare state that is drifting towards out-and-out statism?

Ideally, if some document is required to ritually sanctify an oath of office, elected officials and justices should be sworn in on a copy of the Ten Amendments, not on a tract containing the Ten Commandments or the ravings of any creed’s “prophet.”

But, there are two things wrong about this latest episode of Islamic arrogance. First, it is that CAIR is demanding an apology for a private opinion stated in a private letter. Although Goode is an elected representative, his letter doubtless expressed something he dare not say in Congress.

Second, there is the question of how that private letter came to the attention of the whirling, scimitar-wielding dervishes of CAIR. Is the head of the local chapter of the Sierra Club a Muslim, or sympathetic to Islam? Did another employee of Sierra send CAIR a copy of the letter? Or did someone in Goode’s own office purloin it? Someone turned informer on Goode. From what motive?

On December 21, NBC’s Brian Williams claimed that Goode sent the letter to his constituents. Which obfuscated version of the event has any grounding in reality? The network’s coverage of the flap was subtly biased in favor of Ellison. It even concluded with a smarmy Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR, who said:

In the spirit of the season, I am sending Mr. Goode a Christmas present – a copy of the Constitution.

This is the same Nihad Awad who said a few years ago that he wouldn’t mind seeing the Constitution some day replaced with the Koran.

Someone fingered Goode to CAIR. Regardless of how the deed was done, however, CAIR’s action will send a chilling message to anyone – politician or private citizen – to keep his mouth shut and his thoughts to himself if he has nothing good to say about Muslims or Islam.

“Representative Goode’s Islamphobic remarks send a message of intolerance that is unworthy of anyone elected to public office,” said CAIR National Legislative Director Corey Saylor on CAIR’s website. “There can be no reasonable defense for such bigotry.”

It is a moot point whether or not Goode’s remarks were bigoted. Criticism of Islam or of any Muslim should not automatically be deemed indicative of a dangerous and irrational psychological disorder, which is what the term “Islamophobia” implies. Islam and all Muslims are fair critical game, just as are Christianity and all Christians, and any other religion and its followers one cares to name. No religion is founded on reason, and all religions are legitimate subjects of rational scrutiny, caricature, and lampooning.

This is the true target of CAIR’s accusation: not bigots or the xenophobic, but any person who subjects Islam to rational scrutiny and has the moral certitude to speak publicly on the matter.

To date, and to his credit, Representative Goode has refused to apologize.

CAIR is expanding its attention to toys, in this instance, video games. CAIR further reports on its website of December 19th:

CAIR today asked Wal-Mart to stop selling a video game that glorifies religious violence and may harm interfaith relations….CAIR says it has received complaints about the game ‘Left Behind: Eternal Forces,’ produced by Left Behind Games Inc. the game reportedly rewards players for either converting or killing people of other faiths….The game’s enemy team includes people with Muslim-sounding names….

We also believe that as a company that prides itself in hiring and offering services to a diverse group of people, it is Wal-Mart’s corporate social responsibility to take into account the potential social impact of its decision to sell this harmful game. We, therefore, respectfully request the removal of the video game…from your selves.

I am no fan of the “Left Behind” series of novels – it is, after all, an apocalyptic Christian story – but if CAIR is so concerned about the “negative images” such games and rhetoric promote or perpetuate, it can do something about the violence of Islam’s practitioners in the Mideast.

A companion incident occurred when two U.S. senators, Olympia Snowe (R-MA) and Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) sent the chairman of ExxonMobil a letter dated October 27 castigating the oil company for siding with “global warming deniers” and funding their research.

“We are convinced that ExxonMobil’s longstanding support of a small cadre of global climate change skeptics…have made it increasingly difficult for the United States to demonstrate the moral clarity it needs across all facets of its diplomacy.” For an excellent analysis of the possible ramifications of the letter, see Tom DeWeese’s article, “The Real Inconvenient Truth About Global Warming: Skeptics Have Valid Arguments” on Capitalism Magazine (December 19). Among other things, DeWeese reveals just how “small” that cadre of “skeptics” is.

What concerns this writer is the veiled threat of punishment with special taxes and more regulation if ExxonMobil does not withdraw support from scientists who are either critical of global warming goodthink or who have burst its balloon. This is attempted censorship by the back door. And the only public official who has had the courage to name it comes from an unlikely quarter, Britain.

Lord Monckton, former policy adviser to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, sent Rockefeller and Snowe a stinging letter that upbraided them for playing teeth-baring thugs. (For the full article, go to the PRNewswire, December 18.)

“You defy every tenet of democracy when you invite ExxonMobil to deny itself the right to provide information to ‘senior elected and appointed government officials,’ who disagree with your opinion,” wrote Monckton.

Skeptics and those who have the courage to support them are actually helpful in getting the science right. They do not, as you improperly suggest, ‘obfuscate’ the issue: they assist in clarifying it by challenging weaknesses in the ‘consensus’ argument and they compel necessary corrections.”

His letter to Rockefeller and Snowe concludes:

I challenge you to withdraw [the assertions that ExxonMobil is engaging in fraud and disinformation] or resign because your letter is the latest in what appears to be an internationally-coordinated series of maladroit and malevolent attempts to silence the voices of scientists and others who have sound grounds, rooted firmly in the peer-reviewed scientific literature, to question what you would have us believe is the unanimous agreement of scientists worldwide that global warming will lead to what you excitedly but unjustifiably called ‘disastrous’ and ‘calamitous’ consequences.

Or, as Ayn Rand once put it: Fifty million Frenchmen can be as wrong as one – in this instance, innumerable and noisy computer-model obsessed nerds who prefer verisimilitude over reality. His letter would have been faultlessly perfect if Monckton had further stated in it that it is global warming advocates (such as the “Gorebies”) and environmentalists who engage in fraud and disinformation. It would be refreshing to hear someone say that the exponents of global warming’s alleged disastrous and calamitous consequences and of environmental catastrophe fall into one of two categories: uncritical dupes, and power-lusting, man-hating political opportunists to whom truth is not only irrelevant, but the enemy.

It would be apropos to quote John Milton here, in regards to both Islam and the global warming alarmists and to the subject of the shutting up of their critics, from his Areopagitica (1644), one of the most perceptive political tracts ever written:

Though all the winds of doctrine were let loose to play upon the earth, so Truth be in the field, we do injuriously by licensing and prohibiting to misdoubt her strength. Let her and Falsehood grapple; who ever knew Truth put to the worse, in a free and open encounter?

It is a free and open encounter that is the nemesis of the religious and environmental totalitarians among us and which they wish to suppress. In a culture of consensus and political power to enforce it, it is Truth that is “out.”

The Anti-Jihadist Creed

Politics of CP has written a creed for all of us Anti-Jihadists:

I am a citizen-soldier in a new war
Here to defend my land, my people, my heart, my mind, my faith, my civilization.
I am a defender of Truth –
At times, before men;At times, in secret struggle
Allied with a coalition of the willing.

I am a revolutionary engaged in an information war –
A counter-propagandist, counter-jihadist,
et contra tyrannum.

I will not be deceived;
I will not bow down to oppression
Or be bested by those who hate freedom.
I will not be subjugated by the enemy,
For I will not submit.

Dhimmitude is not my future.
I will not renounce my faith nor yield my culture to the evil ones,
But I will fight them in its defense
Until they are defeated.

As I say, we are the Parallel Government of the entire world. Of course, I mean that as a kind of joke, but really, it's up to our governments just how much my little joke turns out to be true.

Storm Track Infiltration: The Education Jihad

Following is the HS Today (Homeland Security Today Journal) cover story "Jihad Versus Education." An analysis of the impact of Jihadi influence and ideology on US Education and recommendations to the US Government, executive branch and Congress. Posted on Walid Phares and FDD web sites. The piece argue that for the past two decades the American educational system has been targeted and impacted by Oil producing regimes leading to a derailing of the national security analysis. The article underlines the fact that by reaching the classrooms, Wahabi and Khumeinist influence was affecting the newsrooms. Hat tip to The Counterterrorism Blog.

Here are some important excerpts of the Phares article.

THE WAR ON US EDUCATION: 1980s-1990s

One of the major results of the 1973 oil crisis was the rise of a determination by many oil producing regimes that the West, in general, and the United States, in particular, “understand” the greater Middle East, the Arab and the Muslim world and, accordingly, design its policies toward those regimes and ideologies on the basis of this “understanding”.
There’s that need to ‘understand’ why our enemy doesn’t like us.

As a result, millions of dollars were invested in American and European educational institutions as a way to “foster” this understanding. But instead of fostering an objective understanding or spreading impartial knowledge, the growing influence of Wahabism, an extreme form of Islam, and other such ideologies on the nation’s campuses played a dangerous role: Because of the ideological nature of the donors, the financed programs followed the guidelines of the donor regimes and organizations, which obviously narrowed research and teaching to issues remote from the major historical crisis in the region, other than the modern Arab-Israeli conflict. It removed all serious attention to the rise of Islamism, jihadism and even Baathism, as well as the deep ethnic and religious conflicts and the mass abuse of human rights in that part of the world.

The apologists like John Esposito and Bernard Lewis at work.

A careful review of curricula and research projects established within the US educational system, both public and private, since the 1980s stunningly reveals that American classrooms were deprived of knowledge on social, historical, ethnic and ideological movements rising to challenge the United States. Moreover, as I taught comparative studies for over a decade and lectured on many campuses in the 1990s, I came to realize that defense, strategic and security studies were heavily influenced by “regional” studies when it came to identifying the backgrounds of international terrorist movements emerging from the greater Middle East and penetrating western societies. History and Middle Eastern studies had been corrupted by Wahabi and other funding with an impact on political science, international relations and, ultimately, defense and security studies across the land.

A thorough review of the annual meetings of the American Political Science Association, the Middle East Studies Association of America, the International Studies Association, the Middle East Institute and other professional education associations, of the hundreds of books, publications, articles, talks and research grants distributed by Ivy League universities and other colleges lead to only one conclusion: The gap is immense. There are no traces of the roots of jihadism and its long-term objectives against democracies and the United States. Instead, prominent scholars produced an enormous amount of literature precisely deflecting scholars and students away from the most serious issues related to American defense and security after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The “hole” was so vast and the “deflection” (not to use the term “deception”) so wide that a systemic problem strode the field producing waves of effects into the professional worlds of the media and policy. An academic lobotomy led to an incapacitation of the public learning process about the national security threat and created a cultural crisis in perception. In short, if one isn’t taught about the political thinking of the enemy and his ideological objectives in the classroom, where else would one catch up?

Those who spread the doctrine of jihadism in America during the 1990s had no counter check from the public or government, while even a minimal manifestation of Nazism, anti- Semitism or domestic violent racism was quickly countered. Clearly, Americans never lacked for imagination, but they were deprived of the necessary information.

If intellectual blurring starts in classrooms, it soon reaches the newsrooms and, eventually, the intelligence rooms and war rooms. If young Americans are mistaught the ideology, political culture and intentions of the enemy while at school and in college, once graduated, they will carry this misperception with them as they find jobs and are recruited in all the layers of national analysis. Students enter the media, legislative research, security, intelligence, foreign policy, justice, think tanks and other sectors crucial for national decision making at the bottom levels and rise up to the ultimate positions. By failing students in the classrooms, the educational system caused a national analysis failure: Media failed to report terrorism as it should have, impacting government’s various levels of policymaking; intelligence analysis, deprived of cultural understanding, saw the data but couldn’t put the bigger picture together; courts couldn’t process the concepts of terrorism beyond criminality; and, ultimately, both the legislative and executive branches were denied sound advice on the war already in progress against the country.

In conclusion, the failure in education led to a derailment of national analysis.
So what about today? How deep does the rabbit hole go?

UN Security Council gets tough on Iran - will keep list of bad Iranians who travel- IF RUSSIA ALLOWS THIS

So we know the Russians are not stupid, but how much are they being paid to look craven?

The UN Security Council, a contemptible lunch club, no doubt missing the Rainbow Room far more than Bill Clinton, is ready to take the horrifically frightening steps of freezing the assets of a few Iranian companies which have assets in foreign banks and work in the nuke program, and ban the travel of 12 Iranians also working in the nuclear program ... and Russia won't allow that, wanting the travel ban watered down to to keeping a list of when these 12 people travel.

And the tough diplomats, breaking between Bally workouts and pastrami fressers on Rye sent in from the Carnegie deli cave in and decide to keep a list ...ooooooooooooooooo...I'm sure Mesbah Yazdi and Ahmadi-nezhad has drawn the correct conclusion from that.

pastrami_sand.jpg

So far, Bush has refrained from appointing anyone to replace Bolton, and it's no longer even mentioned in the press. I hope it stays like that. Let's just stop sending checks.

In a concession to Russia on Wednesday, the Europeans deleted a mandatory travel ban and instead told nations to notify a Security Council sanctions panel should any of 12 Iranians involved in the country's nuclear programs visit their countries. Their names are on a list attached to the resolution.

CAIR attacks Rep. Virgil Goode for his anti-Muslim remarks

UPDATE FROM PASTORIUS: Call Virgil Goode and let him know you support him:

Phone: (202)225-4711 - Fax: (202)225-5681

(AXcess News) Washington - American Muslims, outraged at Rep. Virgil Goode's (VA-R) anti-Muslim remarks, called on GOP leaders to rebuke the lawmakers comments about Muslims running for office.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), through a letter sent to GOP leaders, demanded they repudiate anti-Muslim remarks made by the congressman from Virginia. So far, the GOP has remained silent.

Rep. Virgil, who is an outspoken critic of both President Bush and Sen. Kerry's immigration plans, essentially doesn't want any more Muslims moving into the United States, saying that if more Muslims are allowed to come to America, they will take over political offices and threaten the future of the country through their Islamic beliefs. (I cannot say I disagree with that - ed.)

In a recent letter to constituents, Rep. Goode slammed the planned use of a Quran for the ceremonial swearing-in of Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress. Goode also decried the growth of the American Muslim community and expressed concern that "many more Muslims" may be elected to public office.

When will somebody finally take on CAIR? It's high time to bitch slap these 5th columnists.

Dutch anti terrorism agency: Large scale attack possibly imminent in US

Yesterday the Nationale Co-ordinator Terrorism bestrijding (NCTb) presented it's 'Fifth Progress Report Counter Terrorism'. If you can read Dutch the entire thing is up at the Intel Blog (NL).

It's largely familiar territory. The threat of a terrorist act in the Netherlands remains 'substantial' (NL) even though none of the jihadi network presently known seem to be up to something. However, the fast and profound internationalization of jihadi terrorism and the foreign involvements of the Netherlands means we have to be carefull. The report specifically mentions the growing influence of jihadi networks in those parts of Morocco where most of the Morroccan immigrants in the Netherlands hail from. Additionally, the robust of Dutch forces in Afghanistan might attract 'imports' from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The report is rather critical of the progress made within the EU (I am shocked, shocked I tell you). Specifically, the report notes the differential state of implementation of the EU Stategy and Plan of Action Counter Terrorism. It dryly notes that legislation to combat terrorsim financing are 'in preparation or in the process of being implemented' and that significant advances have been made in 'knowledge building' where radicalisation is concerned.

But the juicy bit is passed by the reader in such a way that one would read past it and be none the wiser:
There are clues and rumours that point to an imminent large scale attack, organized by the core of Al Qaeda. Initially one of those rumours named Europe as a target for such an attack, but at present is seems only the US remains in the picture for that.
One hopes that, like last August, the security forces will nab the human scum seeking to complete this act before it comes to fruition.

Still, to any infidels from across the pond: Stay safe...

Moral Clarity from Canada

Charles Johnson offers thanks to Prime Minister Harper for his straight talk with regards to Islamist jackals in the Middle East.

He deserves the kudos since he hasn't wavered at all:

Here's something that Canadians must understand and remember.

Not helping the US in Iraq hasn't bought them any security. Canada is a target not because she did something in the past but because for what she is: a democratic Sharia-free nation.

Canadians are in the same boat as the Americans. Whether they like it or not.

Update
In March of 2005, I attended a speech by a conservative MP of Canada. Later, I hastily typed up the whole account which you can read here--read the whole thing. When it comes to foreign policy, the Canadian Conservatives have been on the right side.

"Devout Muslims" Dig Guns, Whores, Vodka, And Weed

Yes, it's true, or, at least according to this article from the London Telegraph:

Members of the gang cynically tried to exploit the tenuous links to their professed Islamic faith throughout the case.

Their religious "convictions" led to a day of court time being lost to allow them to celebrate the Muslim festival of Eid (marking the end of the Ramadan fast) in prison.

During the hold-up at the travel agency, Muzzaker Shah warned one of the Asian staff at gunpoint, after showing him golden bullets: "Don't make me shoot you on a Friday [Muslim holy day]."

Only hours earlier, three of the gang had been drinking champagne and vodka and smoking cannabis before visiting a brothel.

For many Muslims it seems that Islam gives license to get away with anything, as long as it's perpetrated against Infidels. You see, it's ok to get wasted and screw an Infidel whore. It's ok to threaten an Infidel with a gun. It's ok to disrespect the Infidel Judicial system.

Some may think I am joking, or that I am being bigoted towards Islam. But, I'm not.

This is all ok according to the Koran.

The Koran says Muslims can lie in the service of Jihad. It says that Infidel women can be taken as booty and kept as prostitutes.

Actually, I am wrong on one count. I don't think there is any provision which says it is ok to drink alcohol, but certainly, the weed is fine. That's big in Muslim countries, where they call if "smoking kif."

Sounds like Islam is a pretty rock n' roll religion.

Maybe I will convert.

British airline bans Bibles to Saudi Arabia

Britain's BMI airlines have banned its employees from bringing non-Muslim religious articles on its lucrative Saudi Arabia route.

Keep in mind - this was not in response to a request from Saudi Arabia. Like good little dhimmis, they want to proactively deny their own rights to make sure they don't upset the 'ummah.
London, Dec 21 (ZEENEWS.COM) A British airline has banned its crew from taking the Bible into Saudi Arabia for fear of upsetting Muslims.

BMI bosses have told staff to take the Koran instead, and this without any intimation to this effect from Riyadh.

As expected, things have not gone down too well with the staff. One middle-aged stewardess is planning to sue BMI for religious discrimination at an industrial tribunal due to take place in the New Year.

In the meantime, BMI has decided to exclude her from flights to Saudi Arabia.

A BMI source said: “Foreign Office advice is that non-Islamic religious material is not permitted in Saudi”.

But another BMI worker said: “We understand our embassy has confirmed that the Saudis never enforce this rule”.

“The stewardess is deeply religious and takes her Bible everywhere she travels. The bottom line is BMI don’t want to jeopardise the Saudi route, which is worth millions to them,” The Sun quoted the worker as saying.

British Police: "It Will Be A Miracle If There Isn't A Terror Attack Over The Holidays In London"

I've never heard a warning like this one before:

British intelligence and law enforcement officials have passed on a grim assessment to their U.S. counterparts, “It will be a miracle if there isn’t a terror attack over the holidays in London,” a senior American law enforcement official tells ABCNews.com.

British police have been quietly carrying out a series of key arrests as they continue to track at least six active “plots” tied to what they call “al Qaeda of England.”

Officials said they could not cite any specific date or target but said al Qaeda had planned previous operations during the Christmas holidays that had been disrupted.

“It is not a matter of if there will be an attack, but how bad the attack will be,” an intelligence official told ABCNews.com.

Authorities say they are seeking at least 18 suspected suicide bombers.

Consequences of defeat in this War

I will be linking to a great article in today's Washington Times detailing a study by the CIA in which the results of "cut and run" are studied. The outcome is not pretty. Allowing an Iranian nuclear weapons program to come online would essentially mean for all practical purposes that we have lost the Middle East. Sunni Arab countries would be faced for the first time with Shia superiority, and would have to change their behavior accordingly. We would lose in Iraq, as Muqtada Sadr would become the prime component of power. Hizbullah would be able to continue their jihad against Israel with impunity. It would be likely that within a few years Israel would be annihilated- only 1 or 2 nuclear weapons would destroy the Jewish State completely. Americans in their SUVs and playing with their Wiis have yet to even contemplate a future as dark as what could be coming. Time to wake them up...

Winds of War: Imagine No Right or Wrong

Much has been said from the starboard side of the bloggesphere on the lack of awareness college students have about the reality of the world today – in particular, the Islamist threat. The liberal left has infiltrated the educational system in this country and has produced a generation of politically correct multiculturalists unable to think logically and rationally. The prime reason is that a liberal feels and a conservative thinks. So the primary response from a liberal is always an emotional one based on ‘feeling’ not logic.

Several days ago I had a chance to actually see the mechanisms of the modern college students’ mind as it wrestled with the contradictions between reality and multiculturalism. I had the usual discussion with her as the anti-Islamists bloggers and commentators do in expressing their opinion and she stood by her multicultural belief and saw me only as a bigot for condemning all Muslims for the actions of a few radicals. I tried to explain to her that the ‘few’ are many more than she thinks and, in my opinion, the vast number of Muslims in the world may not agree with the methods of the violent jihadists but do agree with their objectives. I gave her several examples of the intimidation, infiltration and disinformation tactics used by the non-violent jihadists today in order to enlighten her to the threat to our civilization.

The depth of her misunderstanding, or blindness to reality, came when I tried to use an example of how moderate Muslims agree with the tenants and objectives of their belief system by their reaction to the Mohammed cartoon controversy. I thought for sure she would see this as a crystal clear example of how tens of thousands of moderate Muslims around the world rioted and killed over something as silly as a dozen cartoons.

Didn’t this prove that a very large number of Muslims can not, or will not, live in a 21st century dominated by free cultures? Her response was quit enlightening. She said people riot over silly things all the time. Drunken students sometime riot after football games at her college if their team loses. The behavior of the rioting students and the rioting Muslims were equivalent. They both were upset for whatever reason. And though she did not condone the rioting of either party, she understood their anger. Their reaction was equivalent.

When I asked her if the rioting students at her college burned down the opposing team’s stadium, demanded that the opposing college apologize for their win, the football coach fired and death threats put out on the opposing players, and that the rioting Muslims were demanding that free societies self-censor themselves and bury the concept of freedom of the press and free speech - she just walked away.

This incident only reinforced my belief that we will never convince the appeasers and apologist of the Islamist threat and even when it becomes crystal clear that they intend to kill even them, the majority will respond with self-preservation - but will not like it.

Why?

Danish support for Ahmadinejad or not...

A Danish group of artists have given their support to Ahmadinejad. They have spent effort to get the following ad into the Tehran Times, a goverment controlled Iranian newspaper in English. It had to pass the censorship.

The ad was published as above.

But try to read the first letter of each statement.

Exactly. Wonderful isn't?! They actually managed to make fun of the Iranian Hitler wanna be at home. This is ridicule of the highest order. And it is giving me some ideas. Hmmh.

I look forward to the upcoming crisis. Denmark is already the second most hated Western country (Israel is #1), so it can't get any worse.

Financing Hizballah - Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil - right wingnut paranoia?

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration has slapped sanctions on a Hizbullah network operating in the tri-border area of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
tri_border.jpg

The network raised more than $500,000 for Hizbullah from Lebanese businessmen in the tri-border region, officials said. Hizbullah maintained a network of agents in the South American countries to identify contributors and collect funds.

On Dec. 6, the Treasury Department said nine people and two entities would be sanctioned and their U.S. assets frozen. The entities consisted of a shopping center in Paraguay and an electronics company.

SHOPPING CENTER?

Officials said the nine assisted Assad Ahmad Barakat, a Hizbullah supporter and owner of Casa Hamze. The electronics store was reportedly used for arms, drugs and counterfeit U.S. currency trafficking.

Nothing to see here ! Move along !

Galactic moron compares brit govt to nazis...asks...

"What is the degree of xenophobia that tipped Germany in the 1930s towards a murderous ethnic and cultural racism?"

COMEDY GOES ON bari.jpg

Ministers compared to Nazis over Islam stigma

A senior Muslim invoked Hitler's 1930s Nazi regime while attacking the Government over its treatment of British Muslims. Muhammed Abdul Bari accused ministers of stigmatising Britain's Islamic community and fuelling xenophobia.

Mr Bari, the head of the Muslim Council of Britain, criticised the Government for "unfairly targeting" Muslims, and said that it was undermining their status as "equal citizens".

He warned that blaming extremism on "a small, largely deprived community" leads to a "deterioration of community cohesion and fuels xenophobia".

In a presentation to MPs, Mr Bari went so far as to ask: "What is the degree of xenophobia that tipped Germany in the 1930s towards a murderous ethnic and cultural racism?"His comments have drawn criticism from Jewish leaders, angry at what they believe is a "crass" comparison.

Jon Benjamin, the chief executive of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, said: "To try to recast modern Britain as equivalent to Nazi Germany is equally offensive and disingenuous, but also dangerous in that it will fuel alienation and anger, particularly at a time when conciliation is vital."

Ah yes the Muslim Council of Britain, which in the wake of the bombings of 7/7 issued this condemnation of mass murder which makes us all recognize there is nothing to worry over...

Lovely Islamic "Information" Site From Britain

Ahh, www.islamicinvitationcentre.com, how little we've known each other.

"If the West is commiting genocide athe(sic) muslims, then why did the West help muslims in Bosnia?

The benevolent Americans tried to save the Muslims in Bosnia. First thing was they armed the Serbs heavily with heavy weapons. Then imposing an arms embargo on the Muslims leaving them totally defenceless. Eventually, the Serbs surrounded the Muslims, took the UN soldiers hostage, and massacred 8000 Muslims, while the UN was busy trying to figure out their procedures for launching air strikes to protect the Muslims. For some strange reason the UN could not be mobilised as quickly as it did over Iraq. Never mind, eventually the American forces launched some nominal bombing strikes, and claimed to have saved the remaining Muslims, that is, after 200,000 were slaughtered and an estimated 50,000 women were systematically tortured in Serb rape camps. So a big thank you to the saviours, who fed us to be slaughtered, but would not allow us to defend ourselves."

Boy, are the folks at THIS organization bitter and deranged. But hey, they have audio, absurd Q & As and even Dr. Ingrid Mattson (formerly of the ISNA) in their "female speakers" list. Yes, they designate their speakers by sex. And just check out their explanation of suicide bombers

Of course, the punchline is that it's all the fault of......guess who......the JEWS!!

"Q: Why do muslims hate Jews?
A: We don't! A Muslim cannot be a Muslim without believing in Moses. Rather its the Jews that hate muslims. "

Well, always good to be aware of these little organizations. Or perhaps big. I'll look into them more a bit later. Cross-posted at a "hate blog" near you.

Time for the PalArabs to step up. But they won't.

Columnists and editorialists and pundits are hand-wringing about what can be done to stop the violence in Gaza.

Should the West prop up Abbas? Should Israel? Should an international force be sent there? Should we forget the sanctions?

The problem is that there is a solution, but the world has created an environment where that solution will never occur.

Let's look a bit north. Despite Lebanon's problems, it has a strong amount of power from its citizens themselves. Notwithstanding the more recent setbacks, the Cedar Revolution proves that. Hezbollah might be flexing its muscles but the majority of Lebanese will not ever accept their rule.

What needs to happen in Gaza is something similar, and it will never happen. The reason is because the international community has never treated Palestinian Arabs like adults who can act responsibly, and as a result they are a group of whiners and babies.

Rather than blame PalArabs for their support for terror, the West tends to blame Israel (the only "adult" in the region.) Over decades, this lesson takes hold, and now we have a welfare state of millions of people who cannot and will not act like they have any responsibility whatsoever.

The pundits and politicians today keep this self-perpetuating and self-fulfilling myth alive by looking everywhere for a solution rather than the people themselves. And after so many years of learning that all of their problems are Israel's (and America's) fault, the Palestinian Arabs are ready to play their part as perpetual victims to the hilt - and let any chance for a real nation, and real peace, go down the drain. Again.

So while the PalArabs have the lion's share of the responsibility for the situation they're in, the world's coddling of their support of terror and their acting like helpless children with RPGs is in no small part responsible for the situation as well.

Any teacher or parent can tell you that a child will act how they are treated, and the same is true with adults. If you treat the kid as an adult, they will mature much faster. If you spoil them, they will remain that way as well. People will usually take on the roles that others assign them, which is why so many revert to acting like children when visiting their parents.

Like it or not, the world has acted as if Palestinian Arabs are nothing more than spoiled children who cannot be expected to do anything about their situation. And that's a major reason that they are.

Potentially A Great Generation

For December 7, 2006, the 65th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, LGF had the thread Anniversary of Another War, as well as a thread pointing to a Cox & Forkum cartoon, Then and Now. In both threads, the commenters are agreed in their depression over the contrast between the American fortitude and tenacity of 65 years ago and the current state just five years after an attack on a greater number of American civilians. I too agree on the contrast and the shadow it casts upon our times; however, I do not agree in writing this generation off as lost. There is today a lost generation, but it is a generation which we have long known to be so, while the coming generation, the generation that will probably tasked with the trials of World War III, has yet to be known, to fulfill its potential.

Canada PM Harper staying the course in Afghanistan

Canadian Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper draws a line in the sand today, about his government's commitment to fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. No poll watcher he!
God Bless Harper for his moral clarity: I still have to pinch myself when I read statements such as these from an actual Canadian politician, let alone one governing our nation:

OTTAWA - Stephen Harper says he could not live with himself if he reduced Canada's military mission in Afghanistan to further his own political self-interest and that he is prepared to lose the next election if it means standing by the military.

Dozens of soldiers have died in combat in Afghanistan, and the opposition parties have insisted the government put less emphasis on the military's combat mission in that country -- with the Bloc Quebecois hinting it might try to topple the government over the issue in Parliament this winter.
But Mr. Harper told CanWest News Service in an interview such political pressure will have no influence on his decisions.
...
"If ultimately I were brought down on that, and even defeated on that, I can live with myself. I could not live with myself making a decision on Canada's role in the world and our strategic and defence interests if I knew I had done that for political reasons that were the wrong reasons. That I could not live with."
Mr. Harper said what does influence him is the notion the Canadian soldiers who have lost their lives in Afghanistan should not have died in vain.
"The most difficult part of the job I have is phoning every single Canadian family when there is a loss and talking to them," the Prime Minister said.
"And I have to tell you that what they ask of me, in almost every case, is their assurance that the government will not, because of political pressure, abandon a mission that their sons and daughters believed in and were prepared to give their lives for."

In recent months, public opinion polls have shown Canadians are divided over whether this country's soldiers should be in Afghanistan, where our troops are set to serve until February, 2009.
Some critics have said Canada is not doing enough to assist the Afghan people through humanitarian programs and development assistance, and that instead, this country's approach has become too warlike and is not following decades of work as international peacekeepers.
But the Prime Minister rejected that analysis, saying Canada has an "aggressive military history" in two world wars.
"But Afghanistan is a unique mission. It's neither war nor peace-keeping. It's a security operation that involves pretty direct combat with the enemy."
Mr. Harper said he understands the New Democrat Party's position -- that Canada should not have sent its troops to Afghanistan and should withdraw now -- better than any of his political opponents because at least this party has been consistent. But he suggested he has less time for the two other parties.
"The Liberals and the Bloc tell me: rebalance the mission. What does that mean? I mean, what the hell does that mean?"
"We've got guys there, they're in the most dangerous province in the country. Yes, we're trying to do development and humanitarian assistance and we're doing that. But the fact of the matter is that they've got guys shooting at them. And they've got the most concentrated group of enemy combatants right there. It isn't an option to cut down the military side of the operation. They have to do what is necessary to protect the local people and protect themselves. And nothing less."
Mr. Harper said it would be "completely irresponsible" to reduce Canada's military mission in Afghanistan.
"If other parties want to go to the people and take that position -- 'We'd leave them there but we'd tell them not to defend themselves' -- let them explain that to the Canadian people."

Four Hamas "lawmakers" in Jerusalem lose residential status

Some good news from the Jerusalem Post:
Interior Ministry Roni Bar-On stripped three Hamas legislators and a Hamas minister of their Israeli residency status, even though they live in east Jerusalem, because they refused to resign from their political posts, the state told the High Court of Justice on Wednesday.

The statement came in the context of the state's reply to a petition submitted by the four Hamas representatives demanding that their status as Israeli residents be reinstated. The four were legislators Muhammad Abu Tir, Ahmed Abu Atoun and Khaled Abu Arafa, as well as Minister for Jerusalem Affairs in the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Tota.

From the moment their residency status was withdrawn, the four residents automatically became "illegal sojourners" who could be expelled from the city. However, on June 29, three of the four were arrested and jailed along with dozens of other Hamas legislators, PA ministers and activists living in the West Bank, following the kidnapping of Cpl. Gilad Shalit.
Those Hamas fiends should be kicked out of Israel altogether. I think Abu Tir is the one with the red hair, even the beard. If you think it looks bizarre, you're quite right; it most certainly does.

Storm Track Appeasement: Bone Head Scheme of the Year

How do you make Americans feels less sensitive to Muslims? The Virginia Interfaith Center has a solution. And with it they win the bonehead award of the year.

The AP is reporting that a program operating near Richmond sponsored by the Virginia Interfaith Center is raising eyebrows and causing some members of the citizenry to worry that secret Terrorist messages are being left across the city.

RICHMOND, Virginia: The small beige signs bearing black Arabic script have been appearing all over town on buses and at colleges. Are they secret messages from terrorists? one panicked bus rider asked. Should the FBI be contacted? What do they mean? Actual translation: "Paper or plastic?"

Why the signs?

The signs, which below the Arabic script carry English translations and comments that indirectly caution against jumping to conclusions, are part of a campaign by A More Perfect Union, a program of the Virginia Interfaith Center, and are aimed at dispelling some of the public's fears toward the Muslim community. Organizers hope to eventually expand the program statewide. "As people see Arabic, they immediately make an association with terrorism," said the Rev. C. Douglas Smith. "That's probably because since Nine-Eleven, not only is fear overwhelming us, but that's how we're being trained to think."
Notice the Reverend’s choice of words – training. I wonder who he thinks is responsible for ‘training’ us - surely not the radical Muslims.

Along with the "paper or plastic" sign, there are two others — one which is the Arabic version of the "I'm a little tea pot" rhyme and the other roughly translating to the English equivalent of "rock, paper, scissors." Accompanying the translations at the bottom of the posters are comments such as, "Misunderstanding can make anything scary," and "What did you think it said?"The signs were placed in all 170 Greater Richmond Transit Company buses in Richmond on Nov. 27 and will remain there through the end of December, though many buses will continue to display them at least through the end of January. The signs, designed by The Martin Agency, have also been posted at the University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University.
The response from the public?

Ahmadinejad: Iran Now A Nuclear Power - America, Britain, Israel Will Disappear Like The Pharoahs

But, you know, the nuclear power is just for peaceful purposes:

Iran is now a "nuclear power," its President, Mahmoud Ahamdinejad, delcared Wednesday, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency .

During a speech delivered in the Western Iranian province of Javanroud, Ahmadinejad said: " The Islamic Republic of Iran is now a nuclear power, thanks to the hard work of the Iranian people and authorities."

The announcement of Iran as a "nuclear power" is bound to significantly escalate tensions between the West and Iran, and marks a dramatic stage in the Islamic Republic's nuclear campaign.
In recent days, the US military has begun to build up forces around the Gulf, in what is being seen as as a warning to Iran.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has predicted that Britian, Israel and the United States would eventually disappear from the world like the Egyptian pharaonic kings.
"The oppressive powers will disappear while the
Iranian people will stay. Any power that is close to God will survive while the powers who are far from God will disappear like the pharaohs," he said Wednesday, according to Iranian news agencies.

"Today, it is the United States, Britain and the Zionist regime which are doomed to disappear as they have moved far away from the teachings of God," he said in a speech in the western town of Javanroud.

"It is a divine promise."

Ahmadinejad's comments were the latest salvo by the deeply religious president against the West and Israel. He has repeatedly predicted that Israel is doomed to disappear.

Europe's Muslims face rising 'Islamophobia,' new EU report warns

Gee, I can't imagine why...

VIENNA, Austria (AP) - A German Muslim says his neighbors suspect he is making weapons in his mosque. An Austrian believer complains that some dog owners set their pets on her when they pass her on the sidewalk.

Such acts of "Islamophobia" are on the rise across Europe, where many Muslims are menaced and misunderstood — some on a daily basis — the European Monitoring Center on Racism and Xenophobia warned Monday in a new report.

The Vienna-based center, which tracks ethnic and religious bias across the 25-nation EU, said Muslims routinely suffer acts ranging from physical attacks to discrimination in the job and housing markets.

The five pillars of the protestant church

I just devoted a post to the Bishop of Saxony, Germany elevating cowardice as a christian virtue. Now I have the pleasure of reporting to you the brainchild of Bart Robbers, theologist and prominent D66 (liberal democrat) member. According to him (NL), the protestant church in the Netherlands is in dire need of "Five pillars", analogous to the five pillars in Islam.
According to Robbers protestantism suffers from poverty of form, a lack of rituals for religious life. Robbers derives his ideas from the way in which muslims give form to their faith.

Islam knows five pillars that offer structure to practical faith, from the obligatory daily prayer to the pilgrimage to Mecca once in a lifetime.
At the end of a more elaborate interview in the same issue (again NL) the five pillars are nicely summed up and contrasted to the five islamic pillars:
Five protestant pillars

1. A daily praise to the Eternal at the start of the day.

2. Every week, if possible with family or cohabitants, honoring and a prayer for the memory of loved ones, evening prayer, for instance on Friday.

3. Celebrating in the community or at home the important days: The Christ celebrations of the birth of the Lord (This is a literal translation. Why isn't he just saying Christmas? -KV), the three days of Easter, Pentecost - or also other days to be honored.

4. Once every year going into retraite for at least three days in a spiritual surrounding, if possible with memebrs of your relgious community.

5. Once in ones life a year of special service [to the community or society]
If it really is true that Dutch protestantism needs more rituals (which I would argue against. And I have a copy of the 'Order of Services and Heidelberg Catechismus' tacked to the inside of my churchbook to back me up), aren't there enough examples to chose from within Christianity? The Orthodox churches maybe? Catholicism? The Lutheran-Evangelical church?

In the interview Robbers says:
A believing muslim gives form to his faith in day to day behavior. That's where it is from: muslims have 'pillars' - the rules of a life in belief. Jews have something similar. Catholics have a treasure of personal rituals, even if they are somewhat worn out.
So, the good mr. Robbers is current with the goings on in systems of faith much closer to the protestant church. Yet he still choses to forego two more likely candidates and to adopt the system as we know it in Islam. Oh, and "a believing muslim giv[ing] form to his faith in day to day behavior", doesn't that include shouting 'Allahu Akbar' just prior to plowing your newly acquired 737 into tall buildings, or explosively scattering yourself over a large area of a downtown market in Baghdad or a bus in Tel Aviv? This is a good example of expressing "faith in day to day behavior" because...?

Also note pillar number 2: "Every week, if possible with family or cohabitants, honoring and a prayer for the memory of loved ones, evening prayer, for instance on Friday." Given protestant tradition in the Netherlands of preparation for the Sunday service(s) I would think doing that on a Saturday would be more logical. However, if Robbers is of a multicultural streak (which his deep involvement in D66 seems to suggest) the suggestion for Fridays (and specifically NOT on a Saturday) all of a sudden becomes painfully clear, doesn't it?

Has is really come to this? Has the moral decay of the protestant church in the Netherlands progressed so far that we're actually considering modelling the practice of our faith after the islamic example? The one example that is responsible for so much inhuman grief in the world? Have we really come to the point that we are selling out our own religion to an enemy that isn't even strong enough to rule us yet? Have we really become a country of women and women with penises to such an extent that we now are pre-emptively surrendering what is ours?

The only reason I can think of why this particular approach was chosen by Robbers, is that he instinctively feels the danger the Western world is in. Whether it is actual islam or it's guardian, multiculturalism, Robbers knows which way the wind is blowing. And instead of resistance he chooses to pre-emptively make his own faith more acceptable, more like the faith of his future de facto rulers.

But if he knows this much, shouldn't he also know it'll have precious little effect on those he seeks to placate? You're still in infidel, Bart. Get used to it.

Only Xenophobes Don't Admire Islam

News from Germanistan:

Sociologist Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Heitmeyer is the director of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Conflict and Violence Research at the University of Bielefeld.

An article in the "conservative" newspaper DIE WELT from December 14 sheds some light on one of his ongoing projects:
Berlin – An increasing number of Germans are afraid of Muslims, are excluding foreigners and are against the democratic system. Responsible for that are supposedly the increasing number of (German) identity- and patriotism campaigns, like the national pride campaign during the Football Worldcup last summer. That is this year's result of the long-term study "German Circumstances" of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Conflict and Violence Research at the University of Bielefeld, which was introduced in Berlin on Thursday.

According to this study, half of the German population doesn't consider Islam an admirable culture anymore, almost 50 percent are generally xenophobic. Almost every fifth German hatches right-wing populist views...
[…]
The "party-patriotism", which emerged during the Football Worldcup doesn't have any positive effects either, so Heitmeyer. As proof he quotes a survey before and after the Worldcup. According to that, the percentage of those who are "proud of the German history" rose from 36.9 to 46.2 percent and those who are "proud to be German" from 79.5 to 86.4 percent. In contrast, the percentage of those who are "proud of the democracy in Germany" dropped from 76.4 to 64.9 percent and the percentage of those who are "proud of the social security" from 63.5 to 57.8 percent…
[…]

Isn't that precious? Here we have another overpaid expert not subject to call who is telling us what the hoi polloi ought to feel.

So you are not admiring Islam anymore? That makes you xenophobic and a right wing populist.

Politics as Resistance

Politics has now become resistance, not representation or advocacy. Just my thoughts:

The pattern since has been dreadfully inadequate to the needs of the electorate. We are not getting proper representation, as we should under our government, but rather resistance movements against that we deem other, whichever side. Everything is couched in the terms of resistance, of rebellion against whichever Party is in more control on whichever front, whichever issue. Our most recent election was spoken of almost exclusively in terms of "a referendum on the war", "the people voting in protest against Republican corruption", etc. Never a word about local citizens wanting local change through their Representatives.

In short, we are spinning our wheels. We have become the tribal society unable to beat the infighting that weakens us. The Celtic Britons were unable to unite successfully against Rome, the Romano-Celts after them unable to unite against the Germanic invaders. This infighting has proven fatal to more civilizations than just these, and it is taking root more and more in the West. We are not being represented in our Government as we should be, because voting has become a form of rebellion and revenge.

Winds of War: An Insight Into Terrorists

The Counterterrorism blog posted an interview with Pierre Rehov, the creator of the film Suicide Killers. See the trailer here. Hat tip to Michael Travis.

First a little background on Pierre Rehov.

With his French passport, Arabic features, and a digital recorder, Rehov went into the territories (which are forbidden to Israeli citizens) posing as a French tourist and began an undercover investigation of what is really going on behind the scenes. He has thus far produced six documentaries from the "tourist attractions" he visited in the territories: A War of Images, which reveals shocking images of incitement displayed on Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Television network; The Trojan Horse, which betrays Arafat's true intentions and shows rare footage of Palestinian leaders advocating the eradication of the Jewish state and the extermination of the Jewish people, and his film The Holy Land: Christians in Peril, which exposes the true story behind the Church of Nativity confrontation and reveals the dangers for Christians living under Islamic rule, he then filmed The Road to Jenin, that shows there was no massacre in Jenin, as some Palestinians claimed. Silent Exodus, which tells the little known story of the plight of the million Jews who had to leave the Muslim countries their families had lived in for centuries. Hostages of Hatred that gives all the real data about the Palestinian refugees, a question that is not as well known as it might be imagined.

Why is this film especially important? Rehov says, “People don't understand the devastating culture behind this unbelievable phenomenon. My film is not politically correct because it addresses the real problem—showing the real face of Islam. It points the finger against a culture of hatred in which the uneducated are brainwashed to a level where their only solution in life becomes to kill themselves and kill others in the name of a God whose word, as transmitted by other men, has became their only certitude.”

The full interview can be read here but here are some of the important highlights.

What insights did you gain from making this film? What do you know that other experts do not know?

I came to the conclusion that we are facing a neurosis at the level of an entire civilization. Most neuroses have in common a dramatic event, generally linked to an unacceptable sexual behavior. In this case, we are talking of kids living all their lives in pure frustration, with no opportunity to experience sex, love, tenderness or even understanding from the opposite sex. The separation between men and women in Islam is absolute. So is contempt toward women, who are totally dominated by men. This leads to a situation of pure anxiety, in which normal behavior is not possible. It is no coincidence that suicide killers are mostly young men dominated subconsciously by an overwhelming libido that they not only cannot satisfy but are afraid of, as if it is the work of the devil. Since Islam describes heaven as a place where everything on earth will finally be allowed, and promises 72 virgins to those frustrated kids, killing others and killing themselves to reach this redemption becomes their only solution.

What was it like to interview would-be suicide bombers, their families and survivors of suicide bombings?

It was a fascinating and a terrifying experience. You are dealing with seemingly normal people with very nice manners who have their own logic, which to a certain extent can make sense since they are so convinced that what they say is true. It is like dealing with pure craziness, like interviewing people in an asylum, since what they say, is for them, the absolute truth. I hear a mother saying "Thank God, my son is dead." Her son had became a shaheed, a martyr, which for her was a greater source of pride than if he had became an engineer, a doctor or a winner of the Nobel Prize. This system of values works completely backwards since their interpretation of Islam worships death much more than life…… They don't see the innocent being killed, they only see the impure that they have to destroy.

A Warning To Iran

From Drudge, The United States is planning a major Persian Gulf buildup to send a signal to Iran:

The Pentagon is planning a major buildup of Naval forces in and around the Persian Gulf as a warning to Iran, it was reported last night.

The buildup, which would included a ago second aircraft carrier to the one already there is being proposed as a response to what US officials view as increasingly provocative acts by Iran, David Martin reported on CBS EVENING NEWS.

Recent Iranian naval exercises in the Persian Gulf, support for Shiite militias in Iraq, and its nuclear enrichment program which US intelligence believes is designed to produce a bomb." CBS added, "Military officers say the buildup would take place after the first of the year, not to actually attack Iran but to discourage its leaders from spreading their Shiite revolution."

Islamicizing Christmas?

Illustration
From the December 16, 2006 edition of the Tennessean:

Gov. Phil Bredesen [Democrat, Tennessee] has given an unusual twist to his family's Christmas card: He is marking a Christian holiday with a card depicting a Muslim girl.

The card's cover is a print of a painting by the governor of a young woman he met when he toured Afghanistan in March.

The following is the complete text of the card, from this source:

I met the teenage girl depicted in this painting in March of this year at a primitive school on the Shamali Plains Road outside of Kabul, Afghanistan.

Until recently, under the Taliban, education was forbidden to her. She is now learning to read, and on the day I visited, was studying geography.

While it may seem odd to put a portrait of a young Muslim woman on a Christmas card, this Season reminds us that He loves His children most of all.

May the miracle of Christmas help bring peace and hope to this young woman and her wounded land.

Jimmy Carter On Israel, Circa 1976

Here's how Jimmy Carter thought about Israel back in 1976 (quote from Meet The Press):

12/3/2006
Jimmy Carter on Meet the Press
Videotape, January 11, 1976)

GOV. JIMMY CARTER (D-GA): I think when we get down to the last stages of solving the Middle Eastern question, which I hope we can do in the future, the recognition of the Palestinians as an entity with the right to have their own nation, to choose their own government, to exist in a territory, possibly on the West Bank and maybe the East Bank of the Jordan, is an integral part of an ultimate solution.

I would not recognize the Palestinian Liberation Organization, the PLO, nor their leaders under any circumstances, diplomatically, until they recognize the right of Israel to exist in peace in their present location in the Far East—in the Middle East.

I think that ultimately Israel might have to withdraw to—from some of the boundaries, toward their 1967 boundaries. There’s some that I would not cede if I were the premier of Israel. One would be control of the Syrians—by the Syrians of the Golan Heights and I would not relinquish control of the, of the Jewish and Christian worship places in Jerusalem, but I think the recognition of the Palestinians as an entity and as a nation will be an integral part of the future of Middle Eastern settlement.
(End videotape)

His opinion seems to be entirely different now. Now, he does insist that Israel withdraw to its 1967 borders, that it cede the Golan Heights, and he even insists on the Palestinian "Right of Return" which would flood Israel proper with millions of "Palestinian refugees" ending Israel's status as a Jewish state.

Now, of course, everyone has a right to change their mind over the course of a lifetime. But, why do you think Carter's has changed so drastically on this issue?

Could it be the Arab money which funds the Carter Center?
