Representative-elect Keith Ellison has glommed onto an idea, which the
Washington Post calls "a savvy bit of political symbolism." He's going to use Thomas Jefferson's Koran, which will be on special loan for Ellison's photo-op. Read about it

Well, there you go. What are you going to say about that? After all, Thomas Jefferson had a Koran.
Oh, for God's sake. He also owned slaves the color of Ellison's skin, right?
My point is not that I want to condemn Jefferson, but only to point out that the fact that Jeffereson owned a Koran does not in mean much. He was just another flawed human being.
